Dear Sir,
We are facing issue in the latest Newspaper update (version 9.7.4). We don’t want the featured image to be displayed in the post and that is being shown on the page after it has being disabled also . After reverting back to the version 9.7.3 everything works fine.

i’m trying to get my site to qualify for google news. There are some criteria that i need.
#1 is A picture of the reporter, full name and their title posted there. Also a link to an online profile, and all the articles written by that reporter.
The date and time the article was published, and if the article was edited, last update.

why would I need to test what you have already tested correct? If you have not tested composer with version 5 that is fine I just want to know that and I will not upgrade composer. I have deactivated the auto update feature there, and used the license for my composer elsewhere. I just want to update the theme, and when the theme is updated it is updated with the most current version of composer as per the purchase agreement correct?

The best solution for you would be to create a beta test website and try the update there first to see if everything is ok. That is the recommended way to do it.

Been running the old WP Bakery Composer because as we all kn ow when installed totally crashed site which wasnt cool and really sucked. So finally get the email that says the Theme is updated. I am running NewspaperVersion: 9.7.2 and I think we are now on 9.7.5???
Which should bring composer current correct ??? Honestly I prefer the good ole composer over tag div composer every day of the week sorry much more user friendly with hundreds of nice add-ons available, did the theme a dis-service with that, coming from a 4 year user.
Im getting old and memory is failing I guess but I cant seem to find where or how to upgrade please, and is it safe for the new composer now?

It is mandatory to delete all what was left from the older version before intalling this update. Overwriting the files would cause a lot of problems and maybe youâve missed something while deleting the old files. Have you checked the plugins to be deleted too ? If you are certain that you have installed the updates correctly by deleting all of the older versions and made a clean install from scratch please contact us via email at contact@tagdiv.com and provide admin login, as well as cPanel or FTP if possible. If you do not want to show the comments number, you’ll need to hide theme from module 2 too, in this moment from your screenshot is hidden only for the module 1, -> http://prntscr.com/ojr62w also there is a problem of displaying the category on flex blocks if you set the ajax filter, but if you save the page and refresh it this will work properly, we’ll investigate this problem and try to fix it in coming update.

I always update this theme that why I have purchase. But I only got stucked to theme
version 9.6.1 (Thanks to backup that helped my restore my site to previous version)

The composer edit option won’t appear for posts, just for pages. While the composer allows the creation of post templates – https://cloud.tagdiv.com/#/load/Single through the cloud library plugin, it can’t be used to create the actual post content.
Regarding that warning, maybe you use this plugin and you may need to update it

Please make sure that you do not have a plugin conflict, please deactivate ALL non theme-related plugins, also if you are using child theme or cache plugin, deactivate them, clear all cache and try again.

Hi,
There will be an update released this week most likely, child theme support will be further improved. I should note that files from the wp-booster aren’t currently supported to be modified in a child theme, this may change however.
The post template files can be used in the child theme, just be sure to copy both the loop-single and the single PHP files – http://prntscr.com/ojq81b
The issue with using templates from the root theme (not in the composer plugin) meaning single, search, 404 etc in the child theme, will be fixed in this next update. There are also plans as far as I know to allow it for the comments file as well, should be happening in the next update as well. Let me know if you have more questions.

Wordpress reports “The site is experiencing technical difficulties” after installing the latest version of Newspaper (9.74) updating from 9.71. Followed directions for updating the theme via WordPress. Installed successfully. Activated and then updated plugins. That’s when it started flashing the message. Please advise.

Please see the following additonal efforts/info from our end:
1. We have deactivated all plug-ins, tested, and confirmed that NO conflicts exists. We observed after disabling plugins, changing the settings (in the Newspaper theme panel) for: Font Size, Line Height, Font Weight for Pull quotes did not have any effect on the rendered text within a Post.
2. If we use custom CSS, then we can change the rendered page display of Pull Quotes. When using custom CSS (placed in the “Custom Code” section of the Newspaper theme panel) the display of the Pull Quotes can be changed. But… The only thing that still won’t change is the font size; no matter what settings or custom CSS we add, the font still renders as “font-size: 16px”.
We noticed the Pull Quotes were all uppercase (screaming at readers), so I added the code below (to custom CSS), resulting in no more yelling / shouting at people:
text-transform: none !important;
I observed in the rendered text within a Post, when using a developer tool in the web browser, there is a directive as noted below:
element {
font-size: 12pt;
}
It is noted as being injected by the theme as inline. When we edit that value to some other number than 12pt, the size of the Pull Quote font changes. This is something that would require an edit of the theme file to change, and the change would be lost during the next update.
The complete code for the added custom CSS is now:

Yes we had customized the header-style-1.php as per your screenshot its working.
But there are other few theme core files we had customized via Child theme, they are no more working.
List of not working files:

/parts/header/logo-h1.php
/includes/wp_booster/td_category_template.php
/includes/wp_booster/td_module_single_base.php
Can there be a new update to theme released so that all child theme file issues are solved. Also we are working on other files list that aren’t editable via child theme.

I have had this theme for a while now and I am so fed up trying to setup AMP pages. One of the biggest selling points of this theme and I’ve tried to setup AMP every update but it is just a mess.
It never works, Never validates and the pages just look ugly.
The logo overlaps the hamburger and the search doesn’t show up.
I can’t leave it on long enough to get advise and help to get it fixed due to the fact that I can’t afford to leave the website in a mess when I have 1.5k users every day and it takes you guys a while to reply.
It is nothing short of a pain in the ass.
I need one of you guys to help me set it up or I have no option but to find a theme where it actually works.

Maybe something happened with the wordpress uploads/media folder, or the database. The theme shouldn’t affect the search functionality of wordpress or a plugin.
Does it work if you make a quick test and switch to a default theme? I found some similar topics about media library issues

In the latest update there were mostly fixes, and some new additions, better child theme support, but nothing major that would cause such problems.

The new update did not remove the functions, but some of theme was moved.

Also I can try to help you, I do not say for sure that I will make it work, because is an untested plugin, but I can try to find a way, if you provide some more information about the settings you made and the way that this plugins was working with our theme.
