Hello,
You have malware on the website. Please update to the latest version 12.6.8
If you want to update the theme, you should download the latest version of it from the Theme Forest account and download it.
I recommend that you update the theme manually https://forum.tagdiv.com/how-to-update-the-theme-2/ via FTP/cPanel/File Manager, also if possible disable extra plugins during the theme update to avoid any problems that may arise and make sure that you have activated the tagDiv Standard pack plugin to keep the website’s look. You can try to update the theme on a staging website.
After you update the theme, you need to update the theme plugins too.
In the worst cases, the settings in the theme panel may be lost (there have been isolated cases), in these cases, after the theme plugins that were previously used are activated, you will have to use a backup for the theme panel -> https://forum.tagdiv.com/import-export-theme-settings/
You could consider reinstalling the WordPress version, and checking for this plugin wp-zexit.php. It might be wise to inspect via FTP if it doesn’t appear in the WordPress -> Plugins. Additionally, using Wordfence to scan the website and remove unknown users would be prudent.
Change admin passwords and delete admin accounts you are not familiar with;
– Delete any weird/unknown plugins;
– Delete the weird/unknown themes;
– Clean unfamiliar Theme Panel injected code (example – https://i.imgur.com/4q70kCv.png);
– Clean WordPress files (example – https://i.imgur.com/stJCqiK.png)
Please block /wp-json/tdw/save_css
If an attacker wants to target this URL /wp-json/tdw/save_css they can do so. Even if the website uses a different theme, the attacker can still try that URL. We could add an option to be able to enable/disable the Live CSS, it will be considered. But for now in order to remove it this can only be done with a modification to the composer plugin. I think that all that removing it requires is to comment this line of code – https://prnt.sc/RtwvL5Nc4ikR -> https://prnt.sc/ymZmhdUfp57U But as I mentioned, the attacker can still try to access the URL.
Thank you!
Thank you Calin, I have already run into that problem with this last update, so I had to use the @media in the Custom CSS block anyway. It works almost exactly like I need, just with a little extra code, so it is a working solution after all.
Perhaps just consider for future updates making the breakpoints editable like in elementor or adding a “large-desktop” one as fifth option set at 1680 or 1920 (and really, the desktop one should be 1280.. I still can’t understand where the number 1140 came from..:))
Any update on the tagdiv editor, I’m unable to edit the template
Hi mixalisandrou, the problem is that most of elements will be need to be edited to change the breakpoints, so editing the theme files will not be a solution. Even if you manage to change a part of theme when will be a theme update will be removed, so it will be need to reset the code. The best solution is to use row stretch and overwrite with a new @media css.
Thank you for your understanding!
Hi NickDeBaerdemaeker, the problem with the theme files that are edited is that you need to do it after each theme update, because the code will be removed. If you want to edit it, the file path is wp-content/plugins/td-cloud-library/modules/tdb_module_mm.php
Thank you!

Hello, i own 3 copies of your template but i am getting really upset how this theme is moving forward.
I wanted to create our new website with tagdiv composer but when i choose flex blocks i dont have numbers on pagination. Not even infinite scroll is count pages like /page3/ /page/4/ which is good practice for SEO.
When I choose post loop which has available option for numbered pagination on homepage i cant filter specific categories and it shows ALL homepage articles.
So here we go again and i have to activate standard pack plugin with latest articles and template option where i can filter? Which is not updated and according to your words slower? But how can i recreate website with good practices if your blocks have different functions. One dont have numbers on pagination and causing duplication for crawlers another cant filter.
I am really frustrated with this
Hello, we are facing a strange issue with the thumbnails in our site. In our homepage (only in mobiles and only in the homepage) the thumbnails for each article are (very often) wrong, meaning that, the picture is different from the one in the article.
Inside the article the picture is ok and, as said, in laptop/pc they are ok too – this only happens in mobiles (both android and iphone).
This started after the previous update and you can see an example in the picture below (on the left the wrong thumbnail and on the right the full post with the correct image).
Note: this is corrected when we use the Clear Used CSS option from wp-rocket plugin. Thank you!
Kind regards,
I would like to contribute ideas for the next improvements of the Newspaper 12.6.9 version that should be taken into account.
1.- Not everything should be in English, there are options which cannot be modified in the theme panel, for example the sign of the button above “Back to top”, if the page is configured in a language other than English, it looks bad.
2.- In the theme panel there is no necessary information or description of the configurations, even less the modifications made, such as a “NEW” notice.
3.- The Newspaper theme functions manual is obsolete, it should be updated as modifications and improvements are made in parallel, so that it does not become obsolete and the user can consult it in case of doubt.
4.- In the TagDiv constructor there is no display of the blocks used, for example: if you have several blocks and one is on top of another, you cannot mark the one that is at the bottom without deleting the previous one. If there is a block viewer, all the blocks you are using would be displayed and if you select it, it would be marked in the constructor.
I hope these points help you to improve the theme even more. If you have any questions, I would be happy to cooperate to improve it.
where does it affect or how do I see the option mentioned in the improvements.
new: Featured Image & Bg Featured Image: Added default image option for posts without a featured image;
Hello, we have the following issue. The sticky sidebar problem was fixed with the last update, but in the auto loading (in the articles added after the end of one article) this problem persists (the sidebar is not sticky). Thank you!
Kind regards,
I believe that this feature should be updated because the way it works now is not good enough.
You have three options on how the Primary category is picked
> Manually – If you select it from this box, this post will inherit all the settings form the Primary category.
>If the post has only one category – that will be the Primary category
>If the post has multiple categories and no manual Primary category, the theme will pick the first category from the categories of this post ordered alphabetically
We post around 100 articles a day and some times people forget to manually set this field to the correct category and when they miss it goes to the third option when there are multiple categories. Our case is that we have a Parent category with multiple subcategories.
I believe that it would be better to check the categories, if there is a parent category and a subcategory chosen to pick the subcategory. If there are a few subcategories picked – choose one alphabetically.
This would be a good improvement and I believe won’t be such a big deal to be implemented.
Please take it into consideration!
Hello!
You should identify the template you are using on your posts.
We have 3 options available for mobile versions that you can use:
1. Responsive version: A responsive version of your website looks similar to the desktop version. TagDiv Composer is used to edit the page. Click on the mobile viewport: https://www.screencast.com/t/XDQJedlggSB. There, you can see your mobile version and edit or adjust the elements to look better.
2. Mobile pages: https://tagdiv.com/newspaper-10-3-7-update-brings-customizable-and-fast-mobile-pages
3. Mobile theme plugin: The Mobile Theme is a performance-optimized theme included in the main Newspaper theme that only loads on mobile devices. It comes with its own templates and designs for pages, posts, categories, etc., so your current templates from the desktop theme will get converted to the mobile theme layout. Please see https://forum.tagdiv.com/the-mobile-theme/ and https://forum.tagdiv.com/mobile-theme-introduction/ for more information.
A full explanation is here: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=SpGkOnJeNZY
If you need to use mobile version 1 or 2, then you need to uninstall the Mobile Theme plugin and AMP.
Please note that you need to use cloud templates to edit them with the tagDiv Composer.
We recommend using cloud/PRO templates to have the possibility to edit them with the TagDiv Composer, which contains a lot of functions and features; please check our tutorial here: https://forum.tagdiv.com/tagdiv-composer-tutorial/
More documentation about the cloud templates is here:
– https://forum.tagdiv.com/design-post-pages-using-cloud-library-templates/
– https://forum.tagdiv.com/cloud-library-category-templates/
Thank you!
UPDATE: So I am silly, I decided to go look in the Header ad code and saw that I had <br> in there which obviously was creating the extra line space. I removed that… and the tops of the banners are now in line, however, the left side banner isn’t in line with the right side banner on the banner despite both banners being 300 in height.
Here is how it looks: https://ibb.co/FzvxNwr
It appears that the left side might be getting squished down a little.
Hello, the link is formatted that way. It is showing correctly when I edit the page but the published version is not.
The captions and links have been displaying correctly using the correct version for over a year until I did updated the template and now it is not working.

Why???
Hello.
A few days ago, I bought the Newspaper theme to build my website. But I have a big fear today.
I have two versions of my website. The first is in a staging environment where it’s not accessible to anyone because I build and update it without anyone ever having access to it. For example: “dev.mysite.net”. When it’s ready, I make it available to everyone by copying it into my real site. For example “mysite.net”.
I’d like confirmation that the lifetime license I’ve just purchased can be used for both sites, since only one of them is actually accessible online to Internet users.
Please confirm this for me because I don’t want to pay twice for nothing and spend any more money.
Thank you!
Hi There,
Our facebook likes are 29k, but the widget displays 24k, Insta and X are also off by a lot.
I’ve cleared both WP Rocket and Sucuri caches, no changes. Here’s how the widgets set: https://prnt.sc/n6HfcdqTQME6
Is there a way to update this on a regular basis so that it’s closer to accurate?
David
Hi,
I am currently encountering several PHP warnings related to undefined properties in your plugin/theme on my WordPress site. I wanted to bring this to your attention and seek your guidance on how to resolve it.
### Issue Details:
The following warnings are appearing in my server logs repeatedly:
`
2024/09/24 12:37:02 [error] 677#677: *15397 FastCGI sent in stderr: “PHP message: PHP Warning: Undefined property: WP_Post_Type::$slug in wp-content/plugins/td-cloud-library/includes/tdb_functions.php on line 835; PHP message: PHP Warning: Undefined property: WP_Post_Type::$slug in wp-content/plugins/td-cloud-library/includes/tdb_functions.php on line 1586; PHP message: PHP Warning: Undefined property: WP_Post_Type::$term_id in wp-content/plugins/wordpress-seo/src/helpers/current-page-helper.php on line 135; PHP message: PHP Warning: Undefined property: WP_Post_Type::$slug in wp-content/plugins/td-composer/legacy/common/wp_booster/td_util.php on line 1230
`
These warnings occur while accessing certain pages that use custom post types or taxonomies. Below is more specific information:
– **NGINX**
– **PHP Version**: 8.2 (using FastCGI with Nginx)
### Logs:
The errors seem to originate from the following files and lines:
– /wp-content/plugins/td-cloud-library/includes/tdb_functions.php on lines 835 and 1586
– /wp-content/plugins/td-composer/legacy/common/wp_booster/td_util.php on line 1230
– /wp-content/plugins/wordpress-seo/src/helpers/current-page-helper.php on line 135
The warnings mention undefined properties like WP_Post_Type::$slug and WP_Post_Type::$term_id. This seems to suggest there might be an issue with accessing properties that don’t exist in the WP_Post_Type class.
### Site Setup:
– **Custom Post Types**: I am using custom post types, but they are registered with valid slugs. The issue seems to arise when your plugin/theme is trying to interact with these post types.
### Request:
Could you kindly investigate these warnings and suggest a possible fix or workaround? Additionally, if this is something that could be addressed in a future update, please let me know.
If you require any further information or access to my environment to assist in troubleshooting, I would be happy to provide it.
Thank you

We had similar issue with update to newsmag; going into the wp settings and reselecting the menus and in theme panel the header template fixed it for us.
We just updated our Newspaper theme to 12.6.7 and it just erased the header from our whole website (brockpress.com).
We then downgraded back to 12.6.6 but the header did not return. We tried restoring a revized verion of our home page but the header was still absent as though it never existed.
How do we solve this problem?
After a recent update, the Post Template selector no longer works. I can see the template icons, but when you click on them they are not selected.
Newsmag Version: 5.4.3.1
Wokpress 6.6.2
Hello Paolo!
It should work well if there are not any issues to encounter from your end. Also, from an old version, you should update the plugins and the builders in order to use the newest features. We always test the updates in our theme. I also recommend you to rollback and start to redesign your website using the latest tools from the theme on a staging site. After that, you can move the entire project with Duplicator. You can use the same license code for the staging.
Thank you!
Hello!
We have a guide with some tips on why our Composer is not working properly; please check it here: https://forum.tagdiv.com/tagdiv-composer-not-working/.
Examine some other potential interfering factors: https://forum.tagdiv.com/general-options-may-interfere-newspaper-theme/
Make a test and deactivate ALL plugins except tagDiv ones, also if you are using a cache plugin, deactivate it, clear all cache and try again.
Check all these requirements for the theme: https://forum.tagdiv.com/requirements-for-newspaper/
Please note that page speed is not covered by the support team: https://forum.tagdiv.com/newspaper-theme-support/
I can offer some suggestion regarding the page speed:
Optimize Images: Compress images before uploading them to your WordPress site. You can use plugins like WP Smush or EWWW Image Optimizer to automatically optimize images without losing quality.
Utilize Caching: Implement caching to reduce server load and speed up page loading times. WordPress caching plugins like WP Super Cache or W3 Total Cache can generate static HTML files of your pages to serve users instead of dynamically generating them each time.
Minify CSS and JavaScript: Minify your CSS and JavaScript files to remove unnecessary characters and reduce file sizes. This can be done manually or through plugins like Autoptimize or W3 Total Cache.
Enable GZIP Compression: Enable GZIP compression on your server to reduce the size of files sent from your server to users’ browsers. Most hosting providers offer GZIP compression, but you can also enable it through plugins like WP Rocket or W3 Total Cache.
Optimize Database: Regularly clean up and optimize your WordPress database to remove unnecessary data and improve performance. You can use plugins like WP-Optimize to automate this process.
Limit External Requests: Minimize the number of external requests your website makes by reducing the use of external scripts and widgets. Each external request adds overhead to your page’s loading time.
Enable Lazy Loading: Implement lazy loading for images, videos, and iframes so that they are only loaded when they are visible on the user’s screen. This can significantly reduce initial page loading times.
Optimize Server Response Time: Choose a reliable hosting provider with fast server response times. Consider using a content delivery network (CDN) to serve your content from servers closer to your users.
Regularly Update Plugins and Themes: Keep your WordPress core, plugins, and themes updated to the latest versions to ensure compatibility with the latest performance optimizations and security patches.
Ads can significantly impact the speed of your WordPress website since they often involve loading external resources and scripts. You can try to limit the number of ads, optimize ad sizes and formats, and implement lazy loading on your ads.
By following these tips, you can significantly improve the page speed of your WordPress website, leading to better user engagement, higher search engine rankings, and overall improved performance.
Thank you!
Hi, I have updated my website fevicon with new fevicon, but when I am logged out the new fevicon is showed up and when I am logged in via wp-admin page old fevicon shows up. What can be the issue?
Website: https://www.electronicsforyou.biz/
Even if you visit wp-admin page, the old fevicon shows up.
