I have a weird issue that started with update 4.4. I now get a blank space above the articles I write. Seems to be only affecting posts. Here is an example: https://mcecentral.com/iron-man-mark-iii-art-print/

I’ve tried to update theme from v. 7.4 directly to 8.7.5.I had few issues:
– homepage it just loaded the header with logo and menu, and blank in rest
– On single pages just the menu,title and the featured image ( no sidebar loaded )
– on category page it was ok,everything was fine,even the sidebar loaded.
– asked to register again, but registration was not possible with the username on this forum ( user already exist ) so i used another email
I’ve tried deactivating all the plugins,etc..No succes so i rolled back to 7.4.
The question is how would you recommend to update to latest version in my case.(still using js_composer).

You need to update your td-composer to the version that came with Newspaper 8.7.5, “2.3 | built on 23.05.2018 10:03”

I have been using the tagdiv composer for some time now and everything has been fine. While I was away this weekend I returned to find that the tagdiv composer plugin had been deactivated, when I tried to activate it again I get an error message saying:
PLUGINS DISABLED AUTOMATICALLY
The following plugins were disabled because they are incompatible with this version of Newspaper:
tagDiv Composer
I don’t believe anything has been updated, why would this be the case?
Currently I have v2.1 of the tagdiv composer and v8.7.5 of newspaper installed.
Would really appreciate help fixing this as now many pages of my site just display as lines of code.

Same problem, we have tried to update social counter plugin from the links, updating the widget didn’t help twitter counter. If there is a lag in update, we will let you know if it works.

Right now I’m using the option to embedd posts of facebook and it’s loading the correct language.

The problem only exists with the new posts that I’ve published since the theme update (ex: http://mountainjourney.com/arcteryx-in-constant-motion/). The posts prior to the theme update are fine. It seems the issue is with the capture of the featured image function in Newspaper Theme.
I’ve tried to deactivate all of the plugins and still run into the same issue.
Thoughts?
After update, my layouts for posts are not the width I set them too. I need to fix this asap as we launch our new issue in two days.
Just to say that I have updated to version 8.7.5 and still have the same issue.
After updating to NewsMag 4.4 TagDiv Composer and Tagdiv Social Counter are now disabled. I am unable to activate them as they say they are incompatible with your new version. I am also having other issues with a plugin called Video Robot and Yoast since updating.

I recently updated to 8.7 from 7.7, and for some reason, the Social MEdia Share Icon are a bit of whack, I had originally just had the social media Icon and look great but since the update, it looks like the attached image.

1. The tagDiv composer is the main page builder now, but you can not install it if you use WPBakery page builder. If you decide to use it, all the pages have to be recreated with it

2. The Twitter in the social counter had an issue, we provided an updated social counter plugin which should fix the Twitter count

4. The mobile top grid will display featured posts

Then a latest articles section will be shown. The mobile theme does not provide many settings or customization, it is meant to be kept as simple as possible.
5. You can display a page in the footer if you wish. This will be displayed on desktop only, if you use the mobile theme plugin. The mobile theme will not display it. Note that the mobile theme is optional, you can simply not use it. Then the same content from desktop will be shown.
We try to implement at least basic SEO in the theme code, settings for SEO do not exist in the theme however. You can use our recommended plugin, Yoast SEO plugin

When I check the website on this computer on a widescreen display, Then I’ll get the weird layout.

How can I update the theme to current version without losing anything?

Please update the theme to the latest version of it which is 8.7.5. I saw that you are not using the latest one. Try to update it, clear all the caches and check the results.

Does anyone know is it new wordpress update or it’s new newspaper update (I suspect the latter) which removed lots of formatting options from formatting menu in visual editor?
Previously I was able to do that within few clicks via FORMAT menu:
But now this format menu is empty, lots of blocks stuff is missing:
At the moment I do all that formatting stuff now manually via code, but it’s annoying, and other authors can’t do that, previously all you needed to do is select text and via format menu you were able to choose formatting you needed. Why it’s missing now?
Since this is Newspaper css classes and stuff, I think it was last newspaper update which removed these formatting settings from menu. But why? Can you guys add it back?

Since the update i got an error on mobile devices: Wp Boost Error…..
i deaktivated the mobile theme plugin. Now it works.
But i am worried about the Mobile Theme plugin. Any solution for my error?

Sorry but please notice that plugin has not been tested with our theme and therefore, we cannot say for sure if it will work or not as expected with the theme, unfortunately! I added block 18 on my archive page, and the post titles have orange color on (Hover), I didn’t find any option in TagDiv Composer, nor in Theme Colors to change it!!
Also, I tried to put some CSS but it didn’t work and still the same! I also realize that some settings are configured automatically from the last installing I made 3 months ago. My cache plugin is disabled and I cleared my browser cache, but that didn’t help as well!
By the way, also, my new favicon didn’t update.

Hi,
Note that if you use older versions of the theme, it will not work. Instagram made changes to their code. That meant that Instagram elements of the theme stopped working. We provided temporary solutions on the forum
