Our theme was not meant to work as a one-page layout. Our theme is a news based theme with a fixed width layout, not a full screen one as you request. You can create a few full screen elements using visual composer though but for this you must make sure not to use any background image or color (this will cause the theme to go into boxed mode) You can use the visual composer stretch row setting accessed in row settings but be mindful our theme blocks will not work properly in a stretched row. Unfortunately, I cannot compare both websites because on this website here -> http://newstest.meta-morphos.es/ you are using the Mobile Theme and on the mobile mode has the totally different layout. Also, please try to get rid of it all the custom implementation and try the theme like at default settings. The Revolution Slider is fully optimized for mobile mode. Also, if you are using some untested plugins, please try to disable all of them and leave just Visual Composer to active, clear all your caches and install only the plugins that come bundled with the theme and rule out any conflicting plugins. If you want to display more levels in the theme and if you are not aware of the steps which are needed to take in this regard, please consider hiring a freelancer/developer to help you because we cannot provide custom work at the moment, sorry!

Also we didn’t tested this element in sidebar with theme’s blocks and we can’t guarantee that it will work perfectly fine.

Loving the Newspaper 7 Theme. To ‘upgrade’ the free copy of visual composer that came with the theme, I purchased the copy of visual composer but am having trouble installing it because wp tells me that it is already active.
How do I install the ‘full’ version?
I’ve been working with the Newspaper theme with a Magazine-front page. I added a Revolution slider at the top with a stock ticker widget (http://tdhedge.meta-morphos.es/). I added a few lines of CSS to adjust the margins of the slider, but otherwise used settings available within the Visual Composer and Theme Panel. The home page displays fine on my desktop monitor, but it’s jumbled when I view it on a mobile phone. It in fact crashes the Safari mobile browser 50% of the time.
To troubleshoot the problem I installed a new WP with new a demo install of Newspaper and tried to make only the most minimal adjustments to arrive at a similar design result. This included the Revolution slider but not the stock ticker widget in the right column.
The second build (http://newstest.meta-morphos.es/) has a slightly better result, but still doesn’t appear to be smoothly responsive. Could someone view my test pages and provide some suggestions for a fix?
The primary change from stock version of the Newspaper theme was a Revolution slider at 200px high, which replaced the built-in slider on the Magazine home page.
Is there an ideal combination of settings on the Revo slider, that make it most friendly to the adjustments required when the site is viewed in responsive mobile phone mode?

About that message from Visual Composer: completely get rid of them, very soon tagDiv are going to do something to inform new users about that.
You and all of us we are using a copy from Visual Composer, with every update tagDiv also updated the plugin to the current version but in some case this plugin is updated more often, that’s why you receive that notification.
Don’t worry, in the next update of theme you’ll have that version.
Never use Envato Toolkit or other tool, search in this forum how make update through FTP

However, I’m now seeing a nag message near the top of the screen asking me to ‘activate’ my copy of Visual Composer, even though it is already activated. Please take a look at this screenshot –

I am almost sure the plugin is inactive on your side because otherwise theme’s css would be in footer, Speed Booster move theme’s css by default in footer if it’s active. To keep it always activated comment or delete the indicated lines from td-speed-booster.php: http://screencast.com/t/RZLIOPUNdqh Also make sure that you added the correct ids for the resources which intent to move.
You can test speed booster like this without making any changes in plugin’s code: setup a wp-install only with the theme, Visual Composer and Speed Booster. With this configuration the plugin will be active by default because Visual Composer is on allowed plugins list: http://screencast.com/t/uCFJxcIAlu Check then page’s source and you will find theme’s css in footer. You can also make this test if you deactivate all plugins, except Visual Composer and Speed Booster.

I have inspected your website and I saw that you are using Mobile Theme. If you want to have to the mobile mode the same style with the desktop you simply disable the mobile theme because it will be switched to the general responsive mode. There was a setting in the Revo slider that when switched prevented the slides from being up-sized. I’ve played with the page margins and think I have a layout that I’m happy with.

Of all the many settings included in the theme, Visual Composer, and WP, I couldn’t find the setting for the page background color! I used some CSS but would be happy to know where the setting is located. Could you point that out for me?

2) On top header menu of some demos there are social media icons (facebook, twitter etc). How can i link them to my actual facebook and twitter page? Because when i click on them, it just refreshes the site. Where do i change that so when i click it, i can be directed to facebook and twitter page?

On classic blog demo we use header style 11 which don’t have a limit for logo. Try to create a custom image by a size which you ting will fits best on your site then upload it in wordpress and use it as logo, the theme won’t affect it’s size in any way.

The HTTP error is a general one and it could be generated by many causes. First of all, please ensure that your system status is increased to the higher value, according to our documentation here -> https://forum.tagdiv.com/system-status-parameters-guide/ then make sure if this error is not generated by your untested plugins. If you are using something like that in your theme, please try to disable all of them, leave just Visual Composer to active, clear all your caches and install only the plugins that come bundled with the theme and rule out the conflicting plugins. Finally, if this error will persist, please try to use the Force Regenerate Thumbnail and regenerate the latest loaded image on your site and check the results because should work as properly.

This issue may be caused by a conflict between the theme and some plugins. Try to deactivate all plugins except Visual Composer, clear all caches, purge the cdn if you’re using then test the site again.

Thank you for the reply Catalln. I tried to find the controls you used in the picture that you referenced but they are not in the copy of Visual Composer that I have. Or at least I couldn’t find them after going through the plugin. And when I try to update/activate Visual Composer I get a message that I need to purchase a license of Visual Composer. So what should I do now?
You can make a little search on the forum about VC licence:
Please notice that you do not need any licenses for Visual Composer because this plugin is a built-in plugin and the licence of it will come bundled with our theme. If you want to have the latest version of it you will have to download the latest version of the theme which is available on Theme Forest. With the latest version will come bundled all the required plugins in the latest version of them.

Ignore the message from your backend. All themes sell on Themeforest works this way.
¡With the last theme version you’ll have the latest or almost last version of Visual Composer!
If the plugin was updated recently, in the next theme update you’ll have it.

I’ve checked your site and found a js error in browser’s console. This error may affect theme’s functionality and could be caused by a conflict between a plugin and Newspaper theme. Try to deactivate all plugins except Visual Composer, clear all caches, purge the cdn if you’re using then test the site again. The theme does not control how Facebook display content picked by its sharer. Indeed it usually works without the scrape but this is not theme’s related, if you check our demo this issue is not there. Sometimes facebook won’t index automatically a new post because of huge amount of data which must be fetched. So you can “force” facebook to index your post by running a fresh scrape as I’ve indicated above.
Also there can be a slow response from the server. When facebook read the page which is shared, it won’t wait to much for requested data. If the response is to slow or for some reasons is blocked the content won’t be displayed properly. You can try to deactivate all plugins except Visual Composer, clear the caches and check if the problem is still there.

Theme’s layout relay on a fixed width by 1068px and there are no options to change this value. Also all theme’s blocks and modules have fixed sizes for featured image. The slide uses different thumbs depending by layout used for it bu non of theme are squares. The size of any element can be changed only adjusting theme’s code.

Basically first three requests involve custom work in order to achieve the desired result and unfortunately we can’t offer such services at the moment. If you really need this and you’re not aware of the steps that must be taken in this regard my advice is to look for someone who can help you with implementation or hire a developer to do it for you.

For some reason the category url of my webpage is added before the target URL of the banner. If I am on the homepage only the homepage URL is added.
