Hi,
The wordpress top bar should not appear there and I think that it is caused by a plugin that you use. Please check this without any plugins active, leave only Visual Composer active, clear cache and see if you still have this issue.
Thanks!
Hi,
Please make sure that you check this without any plugins active except of Visual Composer, clear cache and see if you still have this issue. Also make sure that you use the latest version of Visual Composer provided with the theme files, delete the old version of the plugin and install/activate it from here – http://screencast.com/t/zhdYA8VHFP and check the version – http://screencast.com/t/yErx8GCe8g Let me know how it goes!
Thanks!
Hi,
Please check this without any plugins active except of Visual Composer, clear cache and see if you still have this gap. I f you don’t have this gap anymore, activate your plugins one by one and see which one caused this space.
I have inspected this on your site and you have a link there right after the body – http://screencast.com/t/Nec310sshJAN this creates that space – http://screencast.com/t/Q3oFMRZ9z you will have to find out which plugin add it or if you have any custom modifications please remove it.
Thanks!
Hi Andrei
I don’t think it was a css problem
I found in your documentation that Visual Composer only works in pages, not in articles!
(https://forum.tagdiv.com/how-to-use-visual-composer/)
So I created a new article with CLASSIC mode (not Backend editor) and then I set up its sidebar in Widget Area.
Now the whole article has the right width, included its bottom sections as author box, related content and comments.
Maybe you can add this information in your documentation so that people know how to create and manage sidebar for articles.
Hi,
Sorry for the delay, we take each message from the old ones to the newest. If you bump the message it will go among the latest and the reply time will be increased.
Did you solved this issue? Please check this without any plugins active, leave only Visual Composer active, clear cache and purge your files if you use CDN. If you have the js/css compressed please disable it.
If you still have this issue please provide a link so we can take a look, also you can try to disable lazy load effect from Theme Panel > Template Settings – http://screencast.com/t/mMkDL3Sk5LmV
Thanks!
And I do not want to use the visual composer for my posts. Just the default template with the sidebar enabled.
Usually due to not first turning off all plugins prior to upgrade; or turning off caching first.
Remember to delete old theme when doing updates, not simply over-write.
If using a child theme, remember to check changelog to see if child files also changed and need to be updated. Same with plugin versions included with theme.
Often if you need to “recover” — via ftp or via the hosting panel, rename your plugins folder to xplugins, then login. Then rename plugin folder back, and only turn on visual composer, then other plugs to determine if one is a conflict. Don’t use speedbooster unless everything else working.
Hope that helped 🙂
Hello, I know you are not the developers of Visual Composer but just integrated it, but I hope it is also in your own interest to help solving this bug. I cannot contact the developer because I have it only bought in package with Newspaper.
VC is taking out paragraphs in text blocks at each page update, when the mentioned TinyMCEAdvanced option is enabled. I created a short screencast to illustrate the issue:
https://app.box.com/s/nzdgx7p1hb2wfbbnbsgr7z6720doxz9a
Thanks for the great theme, now I just hope that I can use VC properly soon.

Homepages are made with visual composer so yes. You can use the theme’s ad widget or use own code.
To clarify, two things at work with increasing memory limit on a hosting account
a) memory limit allocated to PHP on the server, set at server level such as php.ini — any hosting company that allows WordPress should allow up to 64MB for php — with a VPN or dedicated server you may need to make that setting yourself by changing the defaults to higher than (in some cases default as low as 16MB!)
b) WordPress limit — WP defaults to 40MB max, even if you change the default on server. So, the setting in wp-config.php will raise the default max RAM for WordPress. 40MB is too low to use Visual Composer and all the modern plugins. 64MB is better, 96MB advisable; higher depends on your hosting account/setup “allowance.” (e.g., if you have VPN or dedicated server, 256MB is advisable; very high traffic sites, perhaps more).
Not sure anybody “needed” to know that, but easy to get confused on these. 🙂
ok yes I originally when through all the steps described above.
Digging around it looks like there aren’t any sliders in the theme anymore.
this is the slider on home page now
[td_slide_big limit=”8″]
[td_block2 limit=”6″ custom_title=”DON’T MISS” ajax_pagination=”next_prev”][td_block1 limit=”5″ header_color=”#f65261″ custom_title=”TECH AND GADGETS” ajax_pagination=”next_prev”][td_ad_box spot_id=”custom_ad_1″][td_block2 limit=”6″ custom_title=”TRAVEL GUIDES” ajax_pagination=”next_prev” header_color=”#82b440″]
[td_block2 limit=”6″ custom_title=”FASHION AND TRENDS” ajax_pagination=”next_prev” header_color=”#ff3e9f”]
[td_block4 limit=”1″ custom_title=”EDITOR PICKS” ajax_pagination=”next_prev” header_color=”#2b2b2b”][td_ad_box spot_id=”sidebar”]
[td_ad_box spot_id=”custom_ad_1″]
If I could post an image you could see that these three blocks are in a table with two columns.
Also, it looks like when upgrading Visual Composer the template that I created for all the pages I was created is lost. So this pops up in a section that I created in Visual Composer in one of the columns ( [td_ad_box spot_id=”custom_ad_1″] ).
This was done because there wasn’t a way to create a custom column on the pages I need a custom sidebar.
This is on my personal computer so there is no way to give you a link.
Digging around on what is lost looks to me like I am hosed and will have to start over. Which totally SUCKS
Hi
The color title for blocks can be changed from Visual Composer like here: http://screencast.com/t/eFObLjpBhldY
That delay appear because first time loads the main css from the theme, then the css. To avoid it you can insert your custom css in style.css file: http://screencast.com/t/kPT8IAoa
Thanks!
Hi
To built a homepage you need to use Visual Composer Plugin, which comes with the theme, so make sure you have it installed. With that plugin you can insert blocks, grids, widgets etc: https://forum.tagdiv.com/how-to-use-visual-composer/
http://screencast.com/t/vsKOhx1Ng9O
http://screencast.com/t/XzgQN3n05
http://screencast.com/t/1Sjkg6QOV
After you finished customizing your page go to Settings > Readings and set your front page: http://screencast.com/t/komoGTYco
We have demos included with the theme, you can install one and you can edit the hompages already created: https://forum.tagdiv.com/installing-demos/
Hope this help.
Let me know if you still need assistance on this.
Thanks!
Hi,
We will try to improve the documentation.
Can you take a look on this video: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=rgWqozuqmJk&index=2&list=PL6CsDkMaejhrfEuAth6JVYLPmFwFzNFwY
or here in this tutorial about how to use the Visual Composer: https://forum.tagdiv.com/how-to-use-visual-composer/
Thanks for the message!
Hi,
You have a lot of elements in the sidebar and i suspect that this issue is caused by one of them – http://screencast.com/t/LZ0laCCaDdU
Try to create a new sidebar, add the same widgets one by one until you find the one who causes this.
Also try to disable all plugins except for Visual Composer and check again.
Thank you!
Hi,
Do you use a cache plugin? if you do clear it and check if the issue is still there. Also try to disable all plugins except for Visual Composer and check again.
If this doesn’t help please send an email at contact@tagdiv.com , paste a link to this conversation and provide wp-admin access so we can take a look.
Thank you!
Hi,
I just updated the theme to the latest version and it looks like template is missing.
I am getting the below across my site. I disabled all plugins except the visual composer.
wp booster error:
td_api_base::mark_used_on_page : a component with the ID: td_category_template_2 is not set.
/home/wodloung/staging/1/wp-content/themes/Newsmag/includes/wp_booster/td_api.php
wp booster error:
Missing parameter: ‘file’
/home/wodloung/staging/1/wp-content/themes/Newsmag/includes/wp_booster/td_autoload_classes.php
wp booster error:
The category template td_category_template_2 doesn’t exist. Did you disable a tagDiv plugin?

Hi
The theme should display fine google ads as it tested, but notice that we didn’t do any test with plugins that insert ads on sites, so it’s possible to appear some issues. On your site google ads are not inserted by the theme so you can try use our ads system and see how it goes, you can also check our documentation here: https://forum.tagdiv.com/ads-system-full-guide/ If the problem persist try to deactivate all plugins except Visual Composer, clear the cache ant test again.
To improve the page speed you can check our guide: https://forum.tagdiv.com/page-speed-guide/ but now we recommend WP Super Cache as cache plugin because it’s more easy to use by the user, use it with default settings.
Hope this help.
Thanks!
Hi
That seems to be a css problem and can be caused by some plugin that overwrite the theme css, so you can try deactivating all plugins except Visual composer, clear the cache and test again.
Let me know how it goes and if the problem persist please provide a link so i can inspect it closer.
Thanks!
Hi,
If your’re not suing adsense you can use as many ads as you like or rotate them with adrotate plugin.
This
header/a banner below header/banner below content slider/multiple sidebar boxes
can be created with newspaper also.
You can chose a header style with ad next to the logo or under the menu: https://forum.tagdiv.com/header-styles/ then use the ad box VC element to place the ads using page builder: https://forum.tagdiv.com/how-to-use-visual-composer/ anywhere into the page or in the sidebar using the same widget: http://screencast.com/t/X8Ai78y0H
Hope this helps!
Thanks
Hi,
Is not possible in page at middle to give a transparent background, because the container have a white background color, there need to make some grid css changes and customize only for what you have only on that page.
Do you mean to use a background image on you page like this: http://screencast.com/t/MdZmhIiEkoX
If you don’t use a background image on your site and want only a background image on a specified section this can be achieve with the visual composer without no modification of code, like here:
http://screencast.com/t/rBY9rAtXR
http://screencast.com/t/o1nzdY7oOnwc
Thanks for the message!
Hi,
It happens due to this css: http://screencast.com/t/YriEVUjA
I see you use Visual Composer plugin version 4.4.2 so please make sure that you remove it and install the latest version that came within theme’s files in the /plugins folder: http://screencast.com/t/fWFSbhCsyJ3V
Make sure that you use version 4.5.3 then test again.
Thanks
Hi
The author box block from Visual Composer can be used on post like a widget in sidebar or footer area. Also you can use the shortcode to insert it in post content like here: http://screencast.com/t/yJZKlrt1f5
To get the shortcode create a blank page, add the author box and set it as you want, then switch in backend editor, copy this code: http://screencast.com/t/OPqNgAyGm and insert it in post.
Hope this will help!
Hi
You can hide sidebar in every page from Visual Composer, but not post like this url for example: http://www.phonelane.com/phone-tips/lenovo-k3-note-dead-wont-start-showing-black-screen-and-unable-to-boot/
So if you want to hide the sidebar and footer from post you can use this css in theme panel > custom css:
@media (max-width: 767px){
.single-post .span4.td-post-sidebar{
display:none!important;
}
}
@media (max-width: 767px){
.single-post .td-footer-wrap{
display:none!important;
}
}
Thanks!
