Hello Resple,
Please provide your website URL so I can take a closer look at your block images. If these will does not appear it should be a problem with your opacity. Maybe your images are stuck in opacity 0. This usually happens on a js error caused by plugins or customization or other external optimization tools.
Please disable all plugins except visual composer, clear cache and reset CDN files if you use it. Please also check any custom code you might have added to the theme panel or the theme files. If you use a child theme, please switch to the main theme to make sure it does not affect the proper functioning of the theme.
Thank you!
Hello Rohit,
You have to be an active one-page builder. Also, notice that we recommend using the TD Composer because is more powerful and you have a lot of features. If you will remove the Visual Composer, all the elements added with this plugin will be visible on Front End but it’s not recommended to be changed with another page builder, like TD Composer. Should have to be re-created using the same page builder to avoid getting some errors.
Thanks for your understanding!
Try as I suggested, create a page and use a theme block or element, use Visual composer as you are using now but place a theme block. Check to see how that loads in comparison with the current homepage. There should be a difference in favor of a theme block or grid for example.
Hi,
1. If you are using Visual composer, please deactivate the tagDiv composer. This page builder will be activated automatically when the theme is installed or updated. Deactivate it if that is the case.
2. I don’t quite know what that plugin does, we have not made any tests with it. Maybe you need to update it or change something in it’s configuration.
3. There were some changes made by Instagram to their code, we provided solutions here
– https://forum.tagdiv.com/topic/social-counter-and-instagram-problem/
Facebook is also making changes to their code, this seems to cause issue for some users. Depending on what they will do, we will try to provide solutions as well, for users who have issues.
Hello,
1. It depends on how you used the demo. A demo installs content on your site if you choose to. When uninstalling the demo, the demo contet also gets uninstalled. So if you used that dummy data as your own (people usually use the homepage) then it will get removed. Luckily, you can simply create a copy of the homepage and you will still have the copy.
2. We only recommend using 1 page builder. When transitioning from one to the other, please use this guide: https://forum.tagdiv.com/visual-composer-tagdiv-composer-transition/
Thank you!
Hi,
That is the SEO Yoast section, not related to Visual composer, they are different plugins. More about the Yoast title settings here
– https://kb.yoast.com/kb/yoast-wordpress-seo-titles-metas-template-variables/
– https://yoast.com/wordpress/plugins/seo/titles-and-meta-descriptions/
You could try to use the solution mentioned in this topic
– https://www.searchenginejournal.com/add-emojis-title-tags-meta-descriptions-wordpress/131762/
Or search for more possibilities online.
Can you please, please make ELEMENTOR builder compatible with your theme like visual composer. It is faster and cleaner then visual composer and has more adds on so we can use it also in the posts.
it also has beautiful adds on and widgets
Hello. I know that we use an old NP Version. But it would be nice to get a hint where we have to search the error. We want to know how the process between visualcomposer / theme works.
In VisualComposer the background-color for all blocks (https://www.prad.de/buisness/lg-business-area/) is #a50034 but all blocks show the standard color #2984cd
The first block (AKTION) has also an ajax load button. If you klick the button, the color ist right.
Hi,
Visual composer is not enabled for posts in our theme because it is not recommended to use it on posts, only on pages
– https://forum.tagdiv.com/how-to-use-visual-composer/
It could be enabled to be used on posts if this is absolutely required for you, in the plugin settings
– https://www.screencast.com/t/MjQXwAwxllU
The bundled version of Visual composer provided in the theme package does not require activation, please ignore the activation messages
– https://forum.tagdiv.com/how-to-update-visual-composer-plugin/
That is an unusual issue you are having, so in the backend the post content is not visible despite the post having content. You could try as a first step to deactivate all plugins except theme plugins, check if this has any effect. Also take a look at the theme system status
– https://forum.tagdiv.com/system-status-parameters-guide/
Ask your hosting provider to increase the allocated resources if needed. Let us know the results.
Thanks
Hey all,
After downloading Apppresser plugins etc I’ve found that TagDiv will not work with the Apppresser them.
From their support –
Yes, it sounds like it is the TagDiv Composer that is causing the issue. The likelihood is that it is only set up to work with the theme it came with (the Newspaper theme?). This means that if you were to use the TagDiv Composer with any other theme, including standard WordPress themes like TwentySeventeen, then the code would not work and you would receive the same type of error messages.
What this basically means is that you will need to do one of the following:
1. Rebuild your website’s pages without that plugin for the whole site. This is not really feasible at all.
2. Create app only pages that essentially display the same content but use standard HTML, rather than that plugin, and load those pages in the app only. Technically, if you were to purchase a stand alone license of another page builder, like the Visual Composer for example, it may also work, but HTML is best.
3. Locate the feature that is causing the page to fail and remove. Basically, you would need to look through a page and remove various elements until the page works in the app. Then you know the exact feature that was breaking the page. This is not a great option though because what might find is that the overall structure of the page is the problem, not individual features.
4. Chat with the dev team of the TagDiv composer to see if it is possible to allow it work with other themes, specifically, our AP3 IonTheme as that is what is loaded in the app.
Hopefully this information helps anyway.
Does anybody know a way around this?
Kind regards,
James
I mentioned visual composer because you mentioned above that vc works for posts and I provided the guide for you to see that even though VC works for posts by default, it is not recommended to be used in our theme except for pages. Exactly as the tagdiv composer. For the moment there is no post editor tested and compatible with our theme not even VC.
Thank you!
Hello,
I’m writing to see if anyone has experienced this and can provide some tips we could use to troubleshoot.
At some point, the mobile menu and mobile search button stopped working, when our site is viewed on a phone. (Viewing the page in responsive/mobile view on a desktop Chrome/Firefox works fine.)
The odd thing is, the menu/search button works on most single article pages, but not on pages which include blocks listing video stories. (We found this by deleting blocks one by one, until we found that blocks with video seem to ‘break’ the link to the mobile menu.)
Example can be found on https://www.caymancompass.com, where the search or menu buttons do not respond to touch. This means that when the home page is viewed on a phone (android or iPhone), the buttons for menu and search do nothing.
We are using the regular theme, not the mobile theme plugin.
We have other sites using this theme, without these problems. We cannot find any obvious differences though.
Our live site is still at Newspaper 7.3, due to some custom code required by the boss, which needs to be rebuilt to work with themes newer than 7.5. Any hints (that don’t involve full upgrade to 8.7+) would be appreciated.
We tried: turning off Autoptimize and WP SuperCache, clearing cache in Cloudflare, upgrading to the latest visual composer, downgrading visual composer, turning off some plugins we added, removing and replacing blocks on home page, commenting out CSS, taking out Javascript and/or CSS from Autoptimize.
It could be something simple we missed. Any hints would be appreciated.
Hi,
Yes, VC can be used on posts but it was never supported in our theme. Please read this guide: https://forum.tagdiv.com/how-to-use-visual-composer/
Thank you!
Hello,
If you use the blog and post template, then you cannot control which categories will show on the homage. It will simply show a list of all your latest posts no matter the category.
If you want to show particular categories, you will have to use a static page and create your layout in visual composer.
We recommend using the tagdiv composer (since newspaper 8) and updating to the latest version. You use a very old version of the theme.
Thank you!
Hello,
Sorry but unfortunately on such an old theme version we cannot say for sure why this happens. If you updated your WordPress and visual composer plugin and not the theme. then the error can come from there.
If you want to have green text just over the image background, you should make them different rows in visual composer. Do not use the same row for all elements as yopu will not be able to target them individually.
As for the sidebar issue, you most likely have an open html tag that breaks the layout. Please try to recreate the page using rows and elements from vc and no custom html tags.
Thanks
Hi,
Indeed some settings are only available with the tagDiv composer. The background title is not available in Visual composer unfortunately. You could use the general headers background color setting (ant text if needed), it will apply to block titles as well
– https://www.screencast.com/t/ye6h8COhg
Thanks
@TutoDS If you use Visual composer deactivate the tagDiv composer, then your post should display the same as before. The tagDiv composer will be automatically activated when the theme is updated or installed
– https://www.screencast.com/t/BBRqsaRkx
I have checked the System Parameters. Everything is good there.
What I can’t tell is if Visual Composer is active or not? I do not see this plugin active in my plugin panel. This is where the confusion for me lies in the documentation because I saw where it said to make sure to disable Visual Composer but I can’t see where to do that at.
Is possible use td composer and visual composer?
No. Developers strongly recommend not to use two plugins at the same time.
I Update my theme and my posts (whe i use visual composer) go to sidebar
Hi.
Is possible use td composer and visual composer?
I user visual composer in my posts, and i want use td composer in some pages.
Please help-me
Hi!, excellent theme! love it!
I wanted to ask, I found that big grids only work on a single row, if I cwant to put them in a 3 columns row (3/4 + 1/4 visual composer) it says that is not valid.
Is there a way to use it in a 3 columns row? showing only 3 posts and not 4? (Talking about Big Grid 9).
Thanks very much!
Hi,
First of all it should be mentioned that if you decided to use Visual composer as the page builder for your website, please deactivate the tagDiv composer plugin. When both are active there could be issues.
The next step would be to check the theme system status section
– https://forum.tagdiv.com/system-status-parameters-guide/
If there are insufficient resources allocated by the hosting provider the theme and theme plugins may not work properly. Ask them to increase the mentioned parameters if needed. Then check if the issue is solved. Let us know if there still is a problem.
Thanks
Hi,
If you plan to use Visual composer, please deactivate the tagDiv composer plugin. When both are active, Visual composer elements may be affected by the tagDiv composer.
Thank you!
Hi,
I still use Visual Composer on my website. I have no time (and no clue how to) switch to the Tagdiv Pagebuilder. My version of Visual Composer is getting outdated.
I have 2 questions about this issue.
1. Is there a way to updae to a more recent version op Visual Composer?
2. What will happen to my site if I deactivate Visual Composer?
