Specifically, when webp is enabled on the website, there are empty spaces and no images.
This is why we need you, the developers, to figure out how to configure it correctly and which module will be responsible for what in the settings and for what the website theme itself will be responsible for.
We have purchased 12 keys for websites, and it is important to understand how best to configure all websites to work with WebP and improve website speed metrics.
Currently, without WebP, the website takes a long time to load https://novusnews.co.uk/, and when WebP is enabled, there are often empty spaces.
Good afternoon
We have the following installed on our website
– Advanced Media Offloader for uploading images to R2
– EWWW Image Optimizer for image optimization and WebP creation
– WP Rocket
The question arises
how to properly configure WebP
and which module should integrate WebP into the template and which of them should properly load images?
1/ Who should properly load images
EWWW Image Optimizer or
WP Rocket or the template itself?
2/ Integrating images into the template
include them in the site theme and include them in
EWWW Image Optimizer?
3/ How to properly configure all 3 modules for correct operation, especially if all images are in R2 to speed up site loading
Hello tagDiv Team,
I hope you are doing well.
I am writing regarding a long-standing issue I have been experiencing with the Newspaper theme. This problem has been happening for approximately 7 years. I always hoped that future updates would eventually fix it, but unfortunately, it still persists.
The issue occurs when I use Cloudflare with the “Cache Everything” rule enabled (caching full HTML). This configuration has significantly improved my website performance and loading speed, which is extremely important for my project.
However, the problem is specifically with the mobile menu.
Randomly, when visiting the site on mobile and tapping the menu icon (hamburger icon) to open the side menu, the menu becomes completely unresponsive and does not open. The icon appears, but tapping it does nothing.
This issue:
Only happens on mobile devices.
Happens randomly — sometimes the menu works perfectly, other times it becomes blocked.
When it fails, it stays blocked until cache is cleared or refreshed.
Seems related to Cloudflare caching full HTML content.
Because it is random, you may sometimes see it working and sometimes not.
Please test this URL on a mobile device:
https://www.bibliatodo.com/TestimoniosCristianos/de-indigente-a-predicador-testimonio-impactante/
I have also recorded a video demonstrating the issue and will provide the video URL below.
After many years trying to investigate and solve this on my own without success, I was even considering changing the theme. However, I realized I never formally contacted you about this issue.
So I am reaching out with the hope that you can guide me toward a proper solution or best practice configuration when using Cloudflare Cache Everything together with Newspaper theme.
Could you please advise:
Is there any known compatibility issue between Newspaper and full HTML caching?
Is there a recommended Cloudflare configuration for this theme?
Are there specific scripts, cookies, or paths that should be excluded from caching?
Is there a known fix for the mobile menu becoming unresponsive under aggressive caching?
I truly appreciate your support and guidance.
Thank you very much in advance.
Best regards.
Good evening.
I’m analyzing our website on PageSpeed Insights and two references with high transfer rates appeared – links below. Could you clarify what they are? One of the links refers to – Magnific Popup – v0.9.9 – 2013-12-27. Are these theme structures – can they be deleted or optimized? Thank you very much.

I am currently using your theme on my website and I am facing website speed performance issues. My site is loading slower than expected, which is affecting user experience and overall performance scores. I have already tried basic optimization steps like image compression and plugin reduction, but the speed is still not satisfactory.
I request you to please review my website setup and guide me with the best theme settings, optimization options, and recommended configurations to improve loading speed. If there are any specific features, scripts, or modules that should be disabled or adjusted for better performance, please let me know.
Thank you for your support. I am looking forward to your guidance.
Hello TagDiv Support,
I am using the Newspaper Theme (latest version) with TD Composer.
I am experiencing a template-level issue in the Single Post Template – Free News.
Issue Description:
A block titled “আরও দেখুন” (More Stories / Category tag list) is automatically appearing at the top of all single post pages.
This block:
• Appears in two different layouts across different posts
• Is not selectable inside TD Composer
• Clicking on it opens a sliding overlay panel instead of selecting a Row/Element
• Does not appear properly inside the Manager structure
• Cannot be removed from the template
What I Already Tried:
Disabled Articles Auto Loading
Checked Single Template Settings
Checked Category Template
Disabled Related Articles
Disabled More Articles Box
Cleared Cache (LiteSpeed)
Edited the template from Cloud Templates
Tried deleting the Row via Backend & Frontend editor
Still, the block persists.
Observation:
It seems like the block is injected dynamically (possibly via auto-loading, category module, or internal tdb_single_content hook).
When clicking the block, only the gear (⚙️) icon works, and the rest of the area is not selectable — which suggests a layer or JS overlay conflict.
Request:
Please clarify:
From which template hook or module is this block generated?
Is it part of tdb_single_content?
Is it controlled by a hidden “Tags” module?
How can I permanently remove it from the Single Post template?
This is affecting layout consistency and UX.

Thank you.

Hello Team,
I am using your theme on my news website and facing a persistent issue with the homepage slider / Flex Block setup.
Problem description:
I am using Flex Block / Big Grid on the homepage.
I want the slider to be visible on desktop only, and hidden on mobile.
However, I am unable to find any clear or consistent option to:
Disable slider on mobile
Control Flex Block visibility per device
Even after turning Flex Block 1 OFF, there is no visible change, which makes it confusing to understand which container (Row / Column / Block) is actually controlling the output.
What I have already tried:
Turning Flex Block ON/OFF
Checking Row, Column, Layout, Style, Filter, and CSS tabs
Searching for “Hide on mobile”, “Responsive”, or “Device visibility” options
Clearing cache and hard refreshing
But the behavior remains the same.
My questions:
Which element actually controls the slider output — Row, Column, or Flex Block?
What is the recommended way to:
Show slider on desktop
Hide it completely on mobile
Is there a built-in responsive option, or should this be done via custom CSS?
If CSS is required, can you please share the correct class or selector used by the Flex Block / Big Grid slider?
I would really appreciate a step-by-step explanation, as this is a homepage critical section and affects both UX and PageSpeed performance.
Thank you in advance for your support.
Best regards,
Sankar Chakraborty

Hi,
What else can be done is to use a plugin that checks what is consuming the most resources on the website and tries to optimize that section. block cache it or even remove it or replace it with something that is consuming fewer resources.

Subject: Post published in Dashboard but not appearing on the live website – ashkelonnow.co.il
Message:
Hello tagDiv Support Team,
I am using the Newspaper PRO theme for my news website and I am facing an issue where new posts are not appearing on the live site after being published.
Site Details:
Domain: https://ashkelonnow.co.il
Contact Email: 247elad@gmail.com
Hosting: Hostinger (hPanel)
The Issue: I have successfully published a post via the WordPress dashboard, but it does not show up on the homepage or the category pages when viewing the site as a visitor.
Steps I have already taken:
Cache Clearing: I have cleared the cache via Hostinger hPanel (“Purge Cache”) and used the LiteSpeed Cache “Purge All” tool.
LiteSpeed Settings: My LiteSpeed settings are configured to “Auto Purge” all pages, including the Front Page, upon publishing/updating a post.
Theme Settings: I am using the TagDiv Composer for my layout. I have checked the “Flex Block” filters to ensure no specific categories are blocking the new post.
Could you please assist me in identifying why the live site is not updating? Is there a specific setting within the TagDiv Cloud Library templates or Theme Panel that I might have missed?
Thank you for your help, Elad
Hi,
We’ve seen many clients using the LiteSpeed plugin. However, it can be quite complicated to configure because it has many options. Each change needs to be carefully checked to make sure the website continues to function properly.
Unfortunately, we don’t currently have a guide for this plugin.
Hosting Server: LiteSpeed
Cache Plugin: LiteSpeed Cache
Theme: Newspaper by tagdiv
CDN: Cloudflare
WordPress: 6.9
PHP: 8.3
I have imported the “Newspaper Publication Pro” demo on my website. After clearing the cache, everything works well. However, after 24 to 36 hours, Ajax paginations such as “Load More” and “Next-Prev” cease working properly. The loader icon is spinning round and round. Here’s the video link.
I’ve included some screenshots of cache plugin settings in the links below. Please look into this.

Hi Team,
I am a user of the Newspaper Theme and I am using the Category/Taxonomy List widget to display my categories (which I use as “Book Names”).
Currently, I have over 300+ categories. Since the widget loads all categories at once, it is significantly slowing down my page load speed. There is currently no option to enable Pagination or a “Load More” button within this widget’s settings.
I have attached a screenshot of my current setup for your reference: https://ibb.co.com/7tQJHFLM
My Request: In your upcoming update, could you please add a Pagination or Ajax Load More feature to the Category/Taxonomy List widget? This would be extremely helpful for websites with a large number of categories to maintain better performance and user experience.
Looking forward to hearing from you.
Best regards,
Alhaj Hossain

Hi,
Please check in Opt-in Builder whether the Login/Register pages exist. If they do not, click on Create Wizard Pages to generate them. https://prnt.sc/PoWAGGCuQIhb
You are currently using the LiteSpeed Cache plugin. Please clear the cache and temporarily disable the plugin to see if the problem persists.
If the issue remains, it may be related to another plugin. In that case, please perform a test using only the tagDiv plugins and check whether the problem is still present.
If the problem persists even when only the theme-related plugins are active, the only remaining option for us to investigate further would be to receive temporary access to the website.
Hi,
I wanted to speed up my website so I used LiteSpeed plugin. But now i lost Montserrat font on Polish letters like “ę, ć, ź etc”.
I have found the instruction how to add latin-extended fonts here: https://forum.tagdiv.com/newsmag-using-custom-fonts/ but on my Theme Settings there is no option like this.
Where to find it?
Hi,
This depends on what you need the plugins for. If you are installing a pre-built website, there is no need to install anything manually—the theme will automatically install the required plugins for the selected pre-built site.
If you want to optimize images, you can use EWWW Image Optimizer or a similar plugin.
For caching, WP Rocket is one of the best options, but there are also other caching plugins you can use, such as WP Super Cache (with Autoptimize), LiteSpeed Cache, or WP-Optimize.
Thank you!
Hi,
I’ve just tested this on my own installation, and it is working correctly for me on all three options. Normally, when both the tagDiv Mobile theme and AMP are enabled, all three options should be available. These options allow you to set the mobile theme to be used only for mobile users, for both mobile and AMP users, or only for AMP users.
Additionally, when using the Mobile Theme plugin, it’s important to ensure that your caching plugin is configured to cache the mobile version separately from the desktop version. Otherwise, the site may not display correctly, and you may occasionally see the responsive desktop version on mobile devices or the mobile version on desktop.
While the AMP project itself is not officially deprecated, it is widely regarded as outdated and is no longer a priority for most modern websites. Today, similar or better performance benefits can be achieved using modern web standards and effective performance optimization techniques. For this reason, it is often recommended to remove AMP and focus instead on optimizing the speed and performance of your main website.
Thank you.
I’m speeding up my website using the ‘Footer Delayed Load’ feature. In the footer I have 3 headings, all of which are ‘Block Header 8’ and coloured #ffffff.
However, when I delay loading the footer, the headings change as shown in the screen grab at https://imgur.com/a/6y9PpTB
(The website is https://news.cyprus-property-buyers.com/ – but you will see a cached version. The screenshots show the uncached version.)

Nigel
I created a custom mobile homepage with tagdiv composer and i set it up to be the homepage of the mobile version. Sometimes when I check my website I can see that the the custom homepage is not loading and instead website loads the responsive version of my desktop homepage. I have the mobile theme plugin disabled. I also use litespeed (cache on) and cloudflare.
my website is http://www.rezon.ba

Wordpress v6.9
Newspaper v12.7.3
Some AI debugging info:
TagDiv themes (Newspaper/Newsmag) implement their own “Primary Category” logic using td_primary_cat meta.
When WP versions change (especially 6.7+ → 6.8+ / 6.9), the taxonomy metabox structure changed, breaking older JS that TagDiv uses to capture the radio button selection.
Common causes:
1. JavaScript conflict or deprecation
The TagDiv metabox JS that listens for the “Make Term Primary” click fails to run.
WP changed DOM structure inside the metabox.
2. Theme or plugin outdated
Version 12.7.3 of Newspaper is known to have primary category issues with newer WP versions.
3. Autosave overwriting meta
If Gutenberg autosave is active, it can remove td_primary_cat before final save.
4. REST API conflicts
Security plugins or caching layers (Cloudflare, LiteSpeed, WP Rocket) may block the POST request saving meta.
Can I get some help with it?
It started last week. Let me know if you need more info or details.
thx for your fast reply since this is an urgent matter for our website.
Hi tagDiv team,
I’m experiencing severe scroll stuttering/lag on Safari (macOS 15.5) on my website built with Newspaper theme 12.7.3. The issue occurs on all pages immediately when scrolling begins.
Environment:
Newspaper Theme: 12.7.3
WordPress: 6.8.3
PHP: 8.3.27
Server: LiteSpeed/Apache
Browser affected: Safari (macOS 15.5)
Browser NOT affected: Chrome, Firefox
What I’ve tested:
✅ Disabled all plugins except tagDiv Composer and Cloud Library – issue persists
✅ Disabled tagDiv Composer – issue persists
✅ Switched to Twenty Twenty-Four theme – scroll is smooth (confirms issue is theme-related)
✅ Disabled Raptive Ads – no improvement
✅ Tested CSS fixes:
animation: none !important – no improvement
transition: none !important – no improvement
-webkit-overflow-scrolling: auto – no improvement
✅ Object Cache Pro with Relay is configured and working
URL: https://simscommunity.info
The scroll is perfectly smooth in Chrome and Firefox, but Safari has consistent frame drops and stuttering. This is affecting user experience for a significant portion of our visitors.
Is this a known issue with Safari? Are there any recommended fixes or theme settings I should adjust?
Thank you!
Yes, same problem can be seen on other friends websites. Many have moved away from Newspaper theme. Not enough updates are coming out from NewsPaper makers TagDiv, 2-3 years ago they used to quickly solve issues and bug fixes and push out new updates for the themes, which were modern and new features were brought. They are not keeping up with the times and a lot of features like infinite loading with ads are not working. “Read more” feature on the article page was also to be brought, but never came.
Now the LCP, FCP and CLS of the theme are also going high, resulting in revenue and viewer loss.
Even after using top-end cache paid cache plugins, the newspaper theme is very, very outdated and heavy. Hope they fix things and make the theme lighter in regulations with Google Pagespeeds insights.

Hi,
While the AMP project itself is not officially deprecated, it is widely considered outdated and not a priority for modern websites. For WordPress, this means that while plugins like Si AMP for WP still receive updates to fix issues, AMP technology is less relevant because the performance benefits are now achievable through modern web standards and performance optimization techniques. It is often recommended to remove it and focus on improving the speed of your main site.
Thank you!
