Hi Catalin,
Thanks for the reply. I do understand how variable speed of website works.
But as I concern js_composer is come bundled with the installation files and for us to make “major” changes/modification to the script itself is just a tedious “another work” for us the theme purchaser.
Just my opinion you guys should handled the page render blocking problem and automated in the speed booster plugin itself rather than us manually tackled the issue by our-self.
Thanks Andrei for your consideration about my message.
Yes, I understand the situation. Not an easy deal.
But more and more, peoples use mobile devices as the unique way to navigate on internet.
Especially the young ones.
According to the place you are, the internet connection with a mobile device can be more or less fast.
So the load speed and the traffic is affected, of course.
But what a frustration to have a so gorgeous and pro looking website (because of Newsmag theme !) to see on desktop, and so poor thumbnails to see on mobile devices.
I hope your great team will find the solution in a near future !
🙂
Thanks
Hi there,
Please advise the following:
1. Speed Booster – v4.2 – Disabled – incompatible plugin detected: coming-soon-maintenance-mode-from-acurax/acx_csma.php
2. If serial 1 is incompatible with the Speed Booster please advise what is the best alternative to this plugin that will be compatible with this? Coming Soon Maintenance Mode by Acurax is a plugin that shows / tells my site in on a Maintenance / Coming Soon page.
Needed your attention here as I am about to start building up my website.
Regards.
Hi
While checking the page speed, it showed due to fonts being called from a third party website(gstatic) and the site speed went down. What we did is inserted the google code in add fonts section. Are we able to add the fonts file directly into theme without inserting google font into theme panel? If so, where should we keep that file in order to increase the loading speed?
Thanks
@Mayapur Voice you can check this post: Speed Up WordPress Website
Well, yes I certainly understand that! Thanks for the explanation.
However, it would be awesome if you could speed up the process to prevent quick security breaches on websites.
Compatibility is definitely important and that’s why you need time to test it. But, security is important as well. I hope this thing improves in the future 🙂
Cheers!
I’m having the same problem. Running on wordpress 4.4.2. The homepage seem works fine but the category pages repeating posts on pagination. I don’t want to update the full theme as i have a lot of customization.
Is there a way to replace few files from the latest version of theme that would fix the problem. I didn’t install the visual composer as i don’t use any elements from that plugin, it’s very flat website.
Plugins: Disqus, tagDiv Speed Booster, W3 Total Cache and Yoast SEO only

The following problems is regarding your theme NEWSMAG and my website https://www.rukielnino.com
1). Your theme does not support “TECNO”phone browsers- TECNO mobile phones is used by 80% of Africans (600 million people) so am quite surprised your theme does not support the Techno phone browsers! When I type in my website URL or your theme Demo URL, your theme design looks like garbage/trash on TECNO phones!
2). I noticed that the photos on my website big thumbnails does not fit in properly to its thumbnail container- thereby giving blank space on the big slider images! Can’t you specify on your next update for photos to automatically fit in to thumbnail container?
3). On my homepage, when I try to show more than one category of post on a particular block, it won’t allow me select multiple categories on a block, I must have to choose only one category on each block and your theme documentation states I can select multiply categories on a particular block but why I try to do so, it won’t allow me- so why is this an issue????
Please solve!
4) There is one particular feature/plugin your theme Newsmag is lacking and that’s a membership plugin that will be customized by your developers and bundled along with your next version, a membership plugin that will support payment gateway like stripe/PayPal – if a membership feature is added to your theme- people will purchase your theme even if you raise your price of theme to $5,000.
You have woo-commerce/speed booster plugin with your Newsmag but why not a membership plugin to make a difference from other themes on themeforest????
5). Am using Wp super cache plugin and SSL CERTICATE and MAXCDN is that the reason why post views are not being displayed on my website and it always say 0 even when I get over 6,000 views on a particular post?????? I guess not, will you fix this on your next update?
Here is my website URL: https//www.rukielnino.com
Hello DonLuigi,
I have checked your website URL and I saw the color switching in your header and also, I saw that you have speed booster to the active mode that moves the js and stylesheet file in the footer, process that could cause this flash. Please notice that the CSS working in cascade and the first time take the code from style.css that is black and then take the color that you have changed from Theme panel that is green and practically this flash is generated by this cause. As a workaround, you have to check your style.css and try to add directly in this file your desired value of color, like this -> http://screencast.com/t/Sx4ULlT0mzB
Hope this helps!
Thank you for the message!
Hello tagdiv-team and community,
I´m currently developing a website with the Newspaper-theme. I configured the plugin as recommended in the theme guidelines. The plugin shows that all posts/sites are cached but when I test it with googles page-speed-tool or gtmetrix it says that gzip is disabled.
PHPinfo says gzip is enabled, so it´s not the host´s fault.
When I click on the debug log it says that there is a misconfiguration / CGI-access is disabled. Anybody has an idea what to do about it?
Best regards,
Klemens

Hello newtag,
I have tested on my side, without Visual Composer and with the infinite loading for the category page and it are working as properly. Please try without untested plugins if you are using because its could cause som errors in the theme and could cause this type of issue. The only recommended plugin used to move the js to the footer is our tagDiv speed booster. For more references about this kind of plugin you will find in our documentation here -> https://forum.tagdiv.com/how-to-make-the-site-faster/ and please notice that this tutorial is only addressed for advanced users.
If you need more assistance in this regard and if your pagination for category pages are not working, please provide your WEBSITE URL so I can further inspect the issue.
Thank you for your understanding!
Hello Chris, thank you for sharing valuable information. Here is something that could help with page speed:
I use a plugin called “Plugin Organizer” https://wordpress.org/plugins/plugin-organizer/ to enable and disable plugins per post/page. For instance I enable Visual Composer on homepage and on few other pages where it is needed and disable it on the rest of the website. Most plugins that I use work only on admin panel anyway so they can be safely disabled on posts and pages. This should help speeding up the website as well. I hope you will find this information useful.
Kind regards
Hello Castle Yen,
Please notice that if you want to improve your page speed it is not a simple task and you will need to have at least basic knowledge PHP/HTML, not necessarily ‘tech savvy’ and also, you should be aware of all modifications which you do into your site .
We have an optional plugin for speed optimization, like speed booster and you will have to set it according to our documentation.
You will need to follow this tutorial on page speed:
https://forum.tagdiv.com/how-to-make-the-site-faster/ Gzip compression needs to be active and also read about how you can compress the images. I suggest to getting someone to help you if you cannot manage.
Also please make sure that Speed Booster is active, check System Status for this – http://screencast.com/t/LDPniI0Qpv The plugin is tested only with these plugins – http://screencast.com/t/hcjLnOqh4i2 and if you have others active it will be automatically disabled.
In order to use the TagDiv speed booster with all plugins, you will need to remove this code – http://screencast.com/t/RZLIOPUNdqh
Also, please try to run your website without many untested plugins because these will affect the behavior of the theme and could create some errors in the theme.
We can’t offer speed customization services at the moment so if you still need guidance on this or you’re not aware of the steps you need to take in this regard please consider hiring a developer or a freelancer to do this for you. Also, as you can see in our tutorial, these kinds of information are addressed only for ADVANCED USERS.
Thank you for your understanding!
Hello Catalin
Thanks for your reply.I closed the EWWW image optimizer plugin, which caused the problem.
But I still need tools to help me compress my images on website to improve page speed.
Do you have any recommended plugin for image optimization and page speed improvement which compatible to your theme?
I really need help because my website speed is quite slow now, thanks a lot!
My website URL is http://www.blackcoffeeseries.com

Hi Andrei L.,
I tried your change, but it does not work well.
But you can not optimize your website in mobile version, at least 85/90% according to Google Page Speed.
As mobile today is the 60/70% of website traffic.
I await your news about
Why my website is too slow can you help me http://ravejungle.com/
Hi,
I use (tagDiv) Block 1, and it was working fine displaying my post radome But then I changed to using a CDN to speed up my website now the Radome post has stopped working and just stay on the same post even when I clean catch.
Is there a way of showing different post when using a CDN on my website I see on your(tagDiv) Block 1 widget it says”How to sort the posts. Notice that Popular (last 7 days) option is affected by caching plugins and CDNs. For popular posts, we recommend the jetpack (24-48hrs) method” But I’M not sure how to do it what’s the best way to go.
Paul..
Hi @nicoblog
First make sure that the server meet the requirements for our theme: https://forum.tagdiv.com/newsmag-requirements-for-newsmag/
In terms of speed we have made a page speed guide and covered the most important aspects that google notifies you of (image optimization, js/css render blocking and more..) and based on which it classifies and grades your site’ regarding speed. You can find it here: https://forum.tagdiv.com/how-to-make-the-site-faster/ Also you may find some useful information here: https://forum.tagdiv.com/topic/website-memory-problem/
Hope this help.
Thanks!
Hi
Please make sure that you’re using the latest version of the theme available on themeforest, V2.3.5 and also the version of Visual Composer included in its path: V 4.9
Thanks!
Hi
The theme has been developed to be fast but it may still need configurations on this matters so test your site using google’s page speed insights testing tool(or gtmetrix) and make sure you follow the guide instructions and methods then test your site again.
First of all deactivate all plugins except Visual Composer, clear all caches then test your site page-speed again. In terms of speed we have made a page speed guide and covered the most important aspects that google notifies you of (image optimization, js/css render blocking and more..) and based on which it classifies and grades your site’ regarding speed. You can find it here: https://forum.tagdiv.com/how-to-make-the-site-faster/
If you decide to use the speed booster keep in mind that is an optional plugin and it was designed to work only with tested plugins – http://screencast.com/t/FXXDNtqfz in case you use other plugins it will be automatically disabled, so please check System Status – http://screencast.com/t/XAYYQgfRvEC To make it work with other plugins you will have to alter the code and remove/comment this – http://screencast.com/t/RZLIOPUNdqh Also you may find some useful information here: https://forum.tagdiv.com/topic/website-memory-problem/
Regarding your the mobile theme module from Jetpack plugin that was not teed to work with the theme and if it’s enabled it loads a different theme on mobile devices. For more details about this check this topic: https://forum.tagdiv.com/topic/newsmag-broken-on-mobile/
Thanks!
Hello failmuch,
If you want to have a good speed for your website, you need to optimize your site for optimized images, caching. Also, please use the Tag Div speed booster plugin. The theme cannot fix your content or your website or hosting.
Please check our documentation in this case and also read through this to get a better understanding on how you can improve your site performance. You have to optimize the settings on your side, check the page speed guide on how to do this – https://forum.tagdiv.com/how-to-make-the-site-faster/ – and this one – https://forum.tagdiv.com/topic/tutorial-pagespeed-2015/
Please notice that these customizations it addresses only the advanced users and if you are not aware to the steps in this regard, please consider hiring a freelancer/developer to do this for you because we cannot provide customization services at the moment, sorry!
Thank you for your understanding!
Hi,
I installed the theme yesterday and have spent the past 48 hours optimizing it but I’m having a problem with the website loading. The loading speed is quite slow and the site shows up in a raw and basic way before it loads fully. (You may be able to tell that I’m not a pro at this!)
I downloaded the plugin ‘Above the fold’ which according to them:
“This plugin enables to pass the “Eliminate render-blocking JavaScript and CSS in above-the-fold content”-rule from Google PageSpeed Insights.” This plugin does speed up the website but leaves this preload problem….
Overall the theme is nearly perfect with great customization but I’m having difficulty finding plugins to run with this theme as almost all the plugins I was previously using don’t work, so are there specific plugins that come recommended for this theme, especially in terms of speeding up the site? E.G. I can’t find a plugin to help with compression.
Thanks a million for any help anyone might have!
Sorry… Site is failmuch.com
Yes, you need to optimize your website for WordPress.
See the theme docs on “how to speed up your site” — and also, the “tutorials/DIY” and “best of forums” for addtional how to.
You should also check one of your post pages with GTMetrix.com as this will outline the stuff you need to optimize such as caching, time to live/expiration headers, gzip/deflate, image compression, etc.
