I’m glad you find the file.
I recommend you also build a child theme and add the functions there.
Please note that any change you make in the theme files after the update will be overwritten and you have to make the changes again. Better save the code somewhere and then apply it again after the update if you don’t want a child theme.
From these 2 options, you can choose which one suits you for your needs.
Without a child theme, don’t forget to add the code after every update.

There is a conflict between tagDiv Composer and WP Bakery.

The differences between BG featured image and single post featured image:
– the description (capture) will not appear in BG
– the image size you can set only in BG, so in a single post featured image will take the image in original sizes
– more options for styling in a single post featured image than BG

Did you set custom code on the homepage? Please make sure that you do not have a plugin conflict, please deactivate ALL plugins except tagDiv Composer, also if you are using a child theme or cache plugin, deactivate them, clear all cache and try again.
