I do not know what theme version you are using, but since newspaper 6 we added this menu: http://screencast.com/t/kaW2Tl0r92M where you can select the thumbs you want to use and avoid creating too many image sizes. Just keep in mind that already created images will not be removed by the theme. For this you will need the force regenerate plugin.

We are sorry you have problems with the Yoast plugin. Please understand that our hand was kind of forced into seo yoast as we have nothing to gain from it but so many people requested it. We had to test a seo plugin to work with our theme so we chose it as a recommended one due to it’s popularity as so many users requested yoast. On the other hand this is only a recommendation. We are not forcing anyone to use yoast, but because it is the only tested seo plugin with our theme, we recommend it to our users when they require a seo plugin. Unfortunately other seo plugins are not tested with our theme but this does not mean they will not work. We see people here on the forum use ‘all in one seo pack’ successfully. You can try out an alternative plugin. This is the beauty of wordpress. You have the liberty to chose. You can chose your theme and you can chose your plugins. Try out other plugins and get rid of the ones you hate.

you can use ads the same way with a do_shortcode function. For a block 21 you need to edit module 16 and add this code to it:

This will insert an ad after every post in the module: http://screencast.com/t/xkKmZTqi9
It will need a bit of css to position it though if this is what you want.

What your image suggests is pagination with numbers x of y . For that you will need to get some help as we cannot offer a quick solution for it. You can maybe hire a freelancer to help out.

Our theme does not have such an option at the moment. The search used by our theme is the default worpdress search just styled differently.Unfortunately i cannot provide a quick solution for it. You can maybe find a plugin that has this functionality, but we cannot recommend one as they are not tested.

As for your customization, it depends if customization was made to the theme files or the settings. The theme settings, colors, menus posts and pages are made in the database. The update will not affect this type of customization. If you altered the theme files and have made changes to the php code, then it will get replaced with the update. That is why a back-up is recommended.

You can use the theme panel for any css code. You simply copy it in the custom code box and if you want to remove it, you simply delete the code and everything is back to default again.

I’m not sure why this occurs, but you can try these following methods:
– Switch to a different theme and then reactivate newspaper,
– Clear your cache and disable all plugins (check the panel with no plugin active),
You can also try to reinstall the theme. Make a back-up of your database and also back-up your modifications if you have any and perform a clean install via FTP: https://forum.tagdiv.com/install-via-ftp/
In rare cases files can get corrupted upon install.
If the problem is still there, then it could be a server side issue and you have to contact your hosting provider.

You need to update your theme to the latest version as many improvements were made since 6.2 :
If you update to WP 4.4. then you need to update the theme as well as some fixes are necessary for their compatibility.

The theme was not designed to display full width elements.
If you use a stretched row in visual composer you need to adjust the margin left and margin right proprieties in the row settings: http://screencast.com/t/iAXskKjsb
You can alternatively add a custom class toyour row and use css to target it:

Block mx4 is listed in td config as it is used by block 15 but all mx modules have the loop display option set to false because they will not work inside of loops. The mx modules are created in such a way that they only work in blocks. If you want to implement them in loops, then you will need to change the entire module functionality and this will be no easy task. We recommend hiring a freelancer to help out on this one as we cannot provide any quick solution for it.

We try to improve our theme as much as we can. We will further improve this option in future versions of our theme if more users request it and if the developers consider it to be an urgent feature to implement (we have thousands of requests so we have to filter theme by urgency).

Unfortunately the custom taxonomy has limited options in our theme. At the moment the only way to implement more settings for it is with custom modification. @TheRIZ As for the widget issue i’m not sure why it happened. Are you maybe updating from an older version of the theme? Mainly newspaper 4?
