You can set specific images to be modal or not when you add them to the post but unfortunately the setting from the theme panel activates modal image on all images disregarding their individual setting. http://screencast.com/t/zGwZuz4I6tJ
In order to have one image modal and the other not, you will have to disable this feature and set modal image manually on all your images.

We cannot say where the little box comes from based on a screen capture.We will need a link to your website so we can use the browser inspector and see exactly what the little box is. We cannot recreate it at our end. The problem with the grey strip however is from your images. Please upload bigger images than the thumbnail for that grid: http://screencast.com/t/qdY8IHH5Kq Your image should cover all the container, not leave grey arras underneath the image. If you cannot upload bigger images, you can try a plugin called thumbnail upscale to stretch your images to fit the containers.

The theme was built to work with Youtube and Vimeo: http://screencast.com/t/LRpYv7Om. These are the only videos that are supported to run with the video post templates. You can add other videos to your posts inside the content but not in the featured video placeholder. If you want to change the default behavior of the theme you will need custom work which unfortunately at the moment we cannot provide. We have this request on our list of improvements and in a future update we hope we can implement more video options.

Another thing you can try is to check your sidebar titles. If you have any “special letters” there it will cause these errors. The widget area only accepts the basic characters. No symbols or language specific letters. Try to change your titles to just plain text and check if the issue is still there.

The best way to do it is as IngGeek suggests. Delete the old theme then download the new version from Envato and install it via FTP – https://forum.tagdiv.com/install-via-ftp/. You will have to redo all your settings and customization so you will have to spare a bit of time to it as newspaper 6 was built from scratch and updating to it will be just like switching to a different theme.Make sure you do a back-up beforehand.

SpeedBooster has a function for plugin compatibility. If it detects any other plugin than the list specified it will shut down. Adrotate is apparently not on the plugin list. The method IngGeek showed will disable the plugin compatibility option so Speedbooster will work with all your plugins (Thanks IngGeek)

I see now what you mean and i do not think visual composer was meant to work from a mobile device. We tried adding elements with VC from a galaxy S4, S3, S2, or from other mobile phones we have but we could not add a single element to the page. Furthermore using visual composer on posts is not tested with our theme and is known to cause issues.

You can try to find a few methods online to change this link without altering the file or maybe you can find a plugin that has such a feature.

As Chris suggested, it will be no easy task. There is no option to adjust site width. It was built with a fixed width and all elements depend on this width. If you change it, you will have to edit every element in order to make it fit to the new width.

Unfortunately the plugin is not tested with our theme and we cannot provide an answer to your problem. We have no idea of the plugin functionality. Some plugins work with our theme and some don’t. You will have to try a few of them out using a bit of trial and error to see which ones work best.
