Please notice that our theme will display on the blocks only the category tag which is setup by Primary Category and not all of these if that post has more than one category.
Also, if you want to move the tags section from post template, notice that you should edit the theme core file and move the specific div in your desired place. For example, if you are using the post template style 1, you should edit the loop-single-1.php and move the following div where you want to display this element, like this -> https://www.screencast.com/t/gvLd469joL If you are not aware of the steps which are needed to take in this regard, please consider hiring a freelancer/developer to help you because we cannot provide custom services at the moment, sorry!

Also, for Featured sorting, notice that you should have some posts which are in the Featured category. Otherwise, you will bring no results.

Try using the AdRotate plugin and add your ad in this plugin and check which are the results.

I have inspected your website and I saw that you are using a lot of untested plugins which can interact with the theme core files and causes a lot of unknown issues. First of all, please try to disable all of these and leave just only the plugins that come bundled with the theme core files and check the results. Notice that the first steps in debugging of WordPress are to disable the untested plugins.

I have tested this demo on my side and it seems to work as expected with 4 version of Newsmag. It seems to be a problem only by your side. I suggest you make a full backup to your database and then make a new clean install from scratch via FTP way to another sub-domain, clear all the caches and check the results.

Please notice that your posts are not showing at full mode because you have a background image setup to your website and the theme will automatically come to boxed mode. If you will remove the background image, the posts will be displayed in normal mode. This is not a problem caused by your update, sorry! Clear all the caches and check the results.

I suggest you make a new clean install from scratch via FTP way, remove all of the untested plugins and leave just to active only the plugins which come bundled with the theme core files and check the results. Also, you should check this problem with your hosting provider because it would be some problem caused by your dedicated server. Ask help from them because they would help you in this case.
