Hello fathummus,
Please notice that our theme has not been designed to be used in RTL mode, sorry! Most likely, this type of issue appears because our theme does not support RTL mode. Please try to revert the theme to the default state, clear all your caches and test it again and check if this type of problem reappears. Also, if you have a lot of customizations, please notice that we cannot provide support for this type of settings. Also, the RTL customizations are not covered by support, sorry! If you want to display more levels in our theme and you are not aware of the steps in this regard, please consider hiring a freelancer/developer to help you because we cannot provide customization services at the moment, sorry!
Also, please ensure that this issue does not come from your untested plugins. Please try to disable all the active plugins, leave just Visual Composer to active, clear all your caches and install only the plugins that come bundled with our theme and rule out the conflicting plugins. If your problem is still there after this advice, please provide your website URL so I can inspect it closer.
Thanks for your understanding!
Hello livingtosmile,
Please notice that our recommendation, in this case, is to make your update only via FTP because this is the surest method for updating. For more information about theme updating, please check our documentation here -> https://forum.tagdiv.com/how-to-update-the-theme-2/
Thanks.
Hello
I have checked your website and I did not saw any problems with your header, like so –> http://screencast.com/t/tMnl9EbBPHp2 Please provide more details about your problem, provide some useful screenshots so I can understand it well about what kind of issue you are talking.

Hello durhamcollegechronicle,
Unfortunately, please notice that our theme does not have such an option that give you a way to control the posts in the big grid, sorry! Please notice that the posts in this feature will be displayed only after sorting type chosen from Big Grid panel, like this -> http://screencast.com/t/vLVBxEvs3 If you want to add some options in our theme and you are not aware of the steps in this regard, please consider hiring a freelancer/developer to help you because we cannot provide customization services at the moment, sorry!
For your second request, I suppose that you are referring to the Big Grid from the mobile theme. As you can see, the default behaviour for Big Grid in the mobile theme is to display the posts from Featured Category. So, if you want to change this type of sorting, you will have to alter the code from the front_page.php core file, like this -> http://screencast.com/t/Plojjmhh0WM
Hope this helps!
Thanks for your understanding!
Hello moses,
It seems to be most likely a caching issue. Please ensure that you are using our tested caching plugin with our theme (WP super Cache), try to clear all your caches, purge CDN file if you are using the CDN and test it again. If your problem is still there, please provide your website URL so I can inspect it closer. Also, please ensure that this type of issue do not come from your untested plugins.
Thanks for your understanding!
Hello justmevalthemar,
I suppose that you are using the Newspaper 4.5 version, right? Please notice that the latest version of our theme is Newspaper 7 that come bundled with the all required plugins (Visual Composer ->4.11.2, Social Counter 4.0). I suppose that you are using the latest version of WordPress (4.5.2) and please notice that the version 4.5 of the theme are not tested with this. I recommend you to update your theme to the latest version. Please follow the steps below in order to achieve best results in this regard.
In order to update from newspaper 6, you need to delete the old theme altogether and copy over the new theme via FTP. Then simply run the update script from the welcome screen: http://screencast.com/t/NXxqfbe4T
Before the update make sure you do a full backup of your current installation – https://codex.wordpress.org/WordPress_Backups and then do a clean update, meaning that we recommend that you delete the old version of the theme before uploading the new one – https://forum.tagdiv.com/how-to-update-the-theme-2/ update also the plugins that come with the theme files from the /plugins folder. In the “how to update” guide is specified that you will have to run the script that will import from database your settings.
The shortcodes have been changed so old ones will not work anymore. Please note that old files customization or custom css will not work with the new version and you will have to adjust or re-add them.
You will have to re-apply a few settings though as some elements change their order and number such as blocks or post templates so a post template from newspaper 4 for example post style 3, will not be post style 3 anymore but a different number.
You will only have to allow a half hour to restore your site to it’s previous setup.
Thank you for your understanding!
Hello jauburn,

Hello songhy,

Hello Rhonda,

Hello jauburn,

Hello jdmeier,
Please notice that if you have an older version of Newspaper, for example, 6.3.2 version, the update processing is the higher one than if you update your theme always on time. Yes, in the future, if you will have the Newspaper 7, it will be more easily to update to the next version if you respect and it is updated at the right time and your customization will not be lost.
Thanks for your understanding!

Hello ben.hinc,
Please notice that this is the default behaviour for our new mobile theme. So, if you want to change the sorting for your Big Grid from the top of the page, you will have to alter the code and change this sorting. Please notice that you will have to edit the front_page.php core file, like this -> http://screencast.com/t/9NmGhBcNXf and there you will have to add what type of sorting you like (latest, oldest_posts, popular, etc -> http://screencast.com/t/mnNV8esNFZcM) Please notice that the mobile theme has been designed to be very basic as structure, clear and very fast and because of this we will do not introduce more customization options in this regard. So, if you are unhappy with this, you will have to simply deactivate the mobile theme plugin and the theme will be automatically switched to the normal mobile responsive.
Thanks for your understanding!
Hello lbinternet1,
Please notice that in your example it uses two different post template. For the one is used the single_template_4 and the second one is used the single_template_2. If you want to change the size for the featured image you will have to change your post template because we do not recommend to increase/decrease the size for this in post template because the layout of the theme will be damaged. So, you can try to use single_template_2 and check the results. For more information about our post templates, please check our documentation here -> https://forum.tagdiv.com/post-templates-2/
Hope this helps and let us know how it goes!
Thanks for your understanding!

Hello schwalm,
It seems to be a conflict between your untested plugins and mobile theme. I have checked your website and I saw that you are using a lot of untested plugins which could interfere with the theme and generate a lot of unknown issues -> http://screencast.com/t/gYuH2Hy2P3 Please try to disable all the active plugins, leave just Visual Composer to active, clear all your caches, purge CDN file is you are using CDN system and install only the plugins that come bundled with our theme and rule out the conflicting plugins. Also, please notice that the mobile theme is tested and do not create this type of behavior for my side.
Hope this helps and let us know how it goes!
Thanks.
Hello Rhonda,
It seems to be a strange behaviour. I suspect this problem come from your caching. Maybe, after your updating to the latest version of the theme, your caches were cleared and the post appears.
Thanks for your message!
Hello Fochesato,
Please notice that the in-line ad does not apply for the smart list because this type of feature is slightly different and only the smart list 6,7,8 uses the ads which you have to add them from the panel, like this -> http://screencast.com/t/dDXUBSKiOdJ0 For more information about smart list ads, please check our documentation here -> https://forum.tagdiv.com/smart-lists/
Hope this helps!
Thanks.
Hello adnan,
I have checked your website again and I did not saw this type of effect (flash) when your page is in the loading process. So, if this effect reappears, you will have to add your custom CSS code directly in style.css core file. As an example, if you want to change any settings from your backend, you will have to change in style.css because if you will add that code in Custom CSS area or from Theme Settings, that CSS will be loaded after the code which has added in style.css and this flash effect can occur. So, please notice that you will have to change the exact class for which you want to change the CSS placed in style.css and then you will have to change it with your desired value. -> http://screencast.com/t/srRd5rywt
Hope this helps!
Thanks for your understanding!
Hello adnan,
I have checked your website and I saw the effect. I suppose that you are referring to the appearance of a flash when you enter on your website…firstly is loaded a style and then will appear another style, right? This behaviour appears when you have additional customization through custom CSS code and when you are using the speed booster. Please notice that the CSS are working in cascade and the first time will take the code from style.css that is set it by default and then the theme will take the custom code that you have changed from Theme panel and practically this flash is generated by this cause. As a workaround, you have to check your style.css and try to add directly in this file your desired custom code.
Hope this helps!
Thanks.
