Make sure that you do not have a plugin conflict, please deactivate ALL plugins except tagDiv plugins, also if you are using child theme or cache plugin, deactivate them, clear all cache and try again.

And try after that to activate the theme.

Unfortunately this is possible only pages and cloud template, for these you can use a cloud header and footer that can be edited using tagDiv Composer.

Normal when you click on the author name then you should be redirect to the author page where will be display all posts write by that author.

For the problem with the author links, maybe the author archives are disabled in the Yoast plugin, if they are author links will be redirected to the homepage. Check if that is the case – http://prntscr.com/mbwwuk after that clear all cache, purge CDN(if you are using) and check the results.

I’m not sure, but is possible to can achieve this using a custom css. If you want I can take a look, but I do not guarantee that I will be able to achieve the same as in our screenshot.

These requirements were since Newspaper v9.8, the only major changes in Newspaper X was to separate the standard element from cloud element. If you want you can downgrade the version, but first make sure that you made a full backup to your website and database.

If you are using PRO demos, the settings from theme panel will no affect website, because PRO Demos are build suing cloud template from tagDiv Cloud Library and are build/edit with tagDiv Composer.
