Hi,

You can add content in the mobile homepage, in the mobile editor
https://www.screencast.com/t/wawtSj1chn3
This content will be displayed below the top grid and above the latest articles, basically between those elements
https://www.screencast.com/t/wawtSj1chn3
https://www.screencast.com/t/ijYPob2iufLx
The top grid and latest section can’t be modified with settings, if you want to do something specific with them I could try to help you do it.

Thanks

Hi,

Unfortunately there isn’t, you would have to manually set a font for all the theme panel sections.

I believe this is already on our list and could make it’s way in a future theme update. Sorry for any inconvenience.

Thanks

Hi,

You would have to manually enter the excerpt for the posts you want, and add line breaks tags directly. For example
https://www.screencast.com/t/iA2qbBged
https://www.screencast.com/t/H9bA09gxXk
This would be the easiest way to achieve that result.

Hi,

1/2/4 Regarding the ads issues, shouldn’t be any problems with Adsense ads. As long as your Adsense accounting is fully approved the ads should be served by Google and be visible at all times
https://support.google.com/adsense/answer/76228?hl=en
https://support.google.com/adsense/answer/7584263?hl=en&ref_topic=1391540
https://support.google.com/adsense/answer/9724?hl=en
https://support.google.com/adsense/troubleshooter/7049023?hl=en

3/5 If no ads are displayed in the website then it could be that Google is not serving them to your website for some reason.

The mobile theme is a highly simplified version of the website, the performance on mobile will be significantly increased when active. When inactive the same content from desktop will be loaded on mobile.
So browsing with a slow internet connection would benefit if the mobile theme plugin is active.
However regardless of using the plugin or not, you should be able to use the mobile menu. Check in browser inspector console and see if there are any errors that could indicate why the menu can’t be used. Maybe it is a conflict with a plugin, code entered in the theme panel or theme files, child theme, or theme modifications.

6. The height of the top menu or the main menu is affected by the line-height setting
https://www.screencast.com/t/1sszfdZ75T
Change the value of the line height and the overall height will be affected.

7. The theme doesn’t have any zooming settings, should be as the live theme demo for example
https://demo.tagdiv.com/newspaper/
How does it look for you exactly? I could take a look at this and the mobile menu issue if you could post a link to the website.

Thanks

Hi,

You would have to use a different AMP plugin, our plugin does not have a menu for AMP at the moment. We based the design largely on the Yoast SEO website, for example
https://yoast.com/social-media-optimization-with-yoast-seo/amp/

So if you want to display a menu in AMP, that will be possible if you use a different AMP plugin. Sorry for any inconvenience.

Hi,

A modification as suggested in this topic should affect the post titles from the theme modules
https://forum.tagdiv.com/topic/open-blog-posts-in-a-new-window/
Could be exceptions however, you could give it a try.
A setting for this does not exit in the theme at the moment. Sorry for any inconvenience.

Hi,

1. Seems to be a mistake. That setting Catalin mentioned is for the slide element. For the big grid slide category tag these 2 settings have to be enabled
https://www.screencast.com/t/fc2D0Rd8O6e
The big grid slide is based on big grid 2, they share these category tag settings. Sorry for the misunderstanding.

2. That issue seems to be caused by a demo customization, in the Gadgets demo you have installed. I will add this issue on our list and it will be fixed in the next update. The gadgets demo uses a different grid in the homepage, with some custom design. That design seems to apply to the big grid slide you use. It will be made more specific if possible, so it does not affect other elements.

As a quick fix please enter this code in Theme panel->Custom CSS section
https://pastebin.com/JHTbvyMk
Result – https://www.screencast.com/t/gJCoOVcYu

5. We are aware of this issue, the thumbnails are indeed distorted. A solution will be found for this as soon as possible. Sorry for the inconvenience.

Maybe a temporary solution would be to make the 2 bottom modules of the grid display like this
https://www.screencast.com/t/IAJAUQoMUl
If you should consider it, enter this code in Theme panel->Advances CSS in the phones field
https://pastebin.com/2V3JrCbC

6. The background will be loaded on all devices when set, it is basically the same website but responsive. I have tested your website for a while on a mobile, kept refreshing pages or browsing. I don’t see the background at all on mobile.

7. With a background the width of the theme will be 1164px
https://www.screencast.com/t/3MQBNqdaxIZ
The dimensions you are using should cover the screen since they have the same width and the background is set to 100% (when using the theme panel setting)
https://www.screencast.com/t/taYOopLc
You seem to have set the background a different way from what I can see.

Let us know if you have more questions.

Hi,

Please try the following. Make a backup before attempting. Access the cloud library files in the plugins folder, replace this file with the one provided below

https://www.screencast.com/t/Vq7763fl

https://www.filedropper.com/jsfilesvuethemepanelmin

Then set cloud templates if needed, check if they still reset after making this modification. Please let us know the results.

Hi,

Currently when entering a shortcode in a page, in a text element, once the page is saved and edited again, the shortcode will not appear as a shortcode (as you entered it) instead it will be rendered.

If that is what is happening for you, there is a temporary fix provided in this topic
https://forum.tagdiv.com/topic/shortcode-in-text-element-convertered-to-html/
Based on user feedback this fix works, it will be included in the next theme update. let us know.

Hi,

Maybe the recommended values in the requirements guide are still not enough, that could be the problem. In some previous similar cases this was resolved by increasing the WP-memory and max_input_vars to a higher value.

If you already tried to increase those values and it is still happening, we could take a look, maybe we can identify why this is happening. Send us an email at contact@tagdiv.com and provide admin login. Include a link to this topic in the email.

Thanks

Hi,

At the moment there isn’t an option that could do this. Unless manually excluding the posts/pages by IDs in the respective block’s setting, there is no other solution.

I believe this is on our list and may be implemented in a future update. Sorry for any inconvenience.

I don’t see this white border in the footer, looks like this for me

Hi,

All the code entered in the theme panel is saved in the database of the website. So even when the theme is removed/updated the code will not be lost.

If you entered a CSS code this will be loaded after the theme CSS is loaded. For example using this code
https://www.screencast.com/t/DYd9cROyK8bR
It can be seen in the page source that it’s loaded like this
https://www.screencast.com/t/353qdYQYS

Hi,

I am not aware of such plans unfortunately, that may or may not happen. So this modification would have to be made again after an update. Sorry for any inconvenience.

Hi,

From what I can see at the moment the website uses the default WordPress blog page as homepage. That will only display a list of your posts, ordered by latest.

You can create a static page with the composer and set that as homepage
https://forum.tagdiv.com/homepage-how-to-build-and-set-it/
In that page you can place any elements you want from the tagDiv composer, grids, blocks etc.
Also you can use block designs made by us (based on flex blocks), from the cloud library
https://forum.tagdiv.com/tagdiv-cloud-library-plugin/
Here you can see how they look, preview them and even edit them
https://affiliate.tagdiv.com/#/load/Blocks
Import the ones you like in the pages you create
https://www.screencast.com/t/fz0yfnvC

Flex blocks have an option to set dividers between modules, so that won’t be a problem
https://www.screencast.com/t/fz0yfnvC

Please let us know if you have more questions.
Thanks

Hi,

So the categories from which the blocks are set to display posts have been deleted, now the blocks are empty. Also the composer does not work if you try to edit the page with it.

From what I can see the theme version used by the website is 8.2, the latest being 9.1. There were quite a lot of changes and new additions since that version. There is a changelog at the bottom of this page
https://themeforest.net/item/newspaper/5489609
From there you can download the theme as well, you have to be logged into your themeforest account. You can download the full package or just the theme zip
https://forum.tagdiv.com/whats-included/

Once downloaded you can update to the latest version, here is a guide
https://forum.tagdiv.com/how-to-update-the-theme-2/
The most reliable and most used method to update is by FTP. Remember to make a backup of the website before updating, just to be safe.

Be sure to check the updated theme requirements guide, insufficient resources can cause problems using the theme or theme plugins
https://forum.tagdiv.com/requirements-for-newspaper/
If needed increase them, or contact the hosting provider and they should be able to do it for you.

In case there are problems after you update, let us know and we will try to help you.
Thanks

Hi,

You can send us login access by email, at contact@tagdiv.com and mention details about what should we check exactly to see the problem. Provide links to relevant posts with the problem if possible.

Please also include a link to this topic in the email.

Hi,

Indeed it’s not working on your website for some reason, there are no errors that would indicate a possible conflict. If that modification works, you could do it for the moment and have a working scroll to top button.
Then keep investigating why it happens. Investigate plugins one at a time, code entered in the theme files or theme panel, child theme.

The value in the code you mention should be as it is, there were no changes made in this matter that would cause such problems. I made some tests and it works same as before, no modifications needed.

Thanks

Hi,

I see it like this on desktop and mobile – https://www.screencast.com/t/80PcTrRe

That is the placeholder thumbnail that is loaded when there is no featured image or video set for posts
https://forum.tagdiv.com/featured-image-or-video/
In this case please check if the posts actually have featured videos set.

Thanks

Hi,

I tried a few codes and solutions I found online, but none seem to work with the theme login. I did not try plugins (time doesn’t permit), maybe there are some plugins that would do the job.
If you find one that works, or a different solution, please post it here as well if possible.

Thanks

Hi,

Please download the theme package again and install it, there were some issues with thumbnails not loading in the initial package.

If there are still problems please send us an email at contact@tagdiv.com and provide admin login so we can investigate why this happens.

Hi,

I can’t see the screenshots you provided – https://www.screencast.com/t/fijUArY9yY
Analyze the test results to see what can be improved and what are the problems. Investigate plugins as well, maybe one of them is causing problems.

In the last update there were some new options added in the tagDiv composer, but they shouldn’t create general loading problems for the website.

Thanks

Hi,

1. If those are shortcodes provided by Visual composer then they wouldn’t be rendered by the tagDiv composer. They won’t be recognized. Blocks, grids and other theme specific elements will work with both composers because they are available in both.

On the other hand, if those shortcodes are provided by a plugin, in the tagDiv composer they can be entered in a column text for example
https://www.screencast.com/t/EeFM8r6L

2. The top menu is not displayed on mobile. If necessary it can be made visible with some CSS, for example
https://www.screencast.com/t/WYd9WoqoR
I removed the socials because they are also displayed in the mobile menu window, if you want them in the top menu as well as in the mobile menu I will modify the code. Let me know.

Enter it in Theme panel->Custom CSS section, then the top menu will appear on mobile.

@media (max-width: 767px){
.td-header-top-menu,
.td-header-top-menu-full,
.td-header-sp-top-menu {
display: block!important;
text-align: center;
}
.td-social-icon-wrap{
display:none;
}}

Thanks

Hi,

The mobile theme latest will not be affected by the setting you mention. Something like this could only be done with a modification to a mobile theme file, like in this topic
https://forum.tagdiv.com/topic/latest-article-mobil-theme/

Thanks

Hi,

Maybe there aren’t enough resources available, the theme has these requirements for the server
https://forum.tagdiv.com/requirements-for-newspaper/
If these are met the theme should work properly. If there are problems with the server you could check the error log. Most servers keep error logs.
Also check with the browser inspector console, potential errors will be displayed there. Maybe there are 404 errors, or resources that load slowly. Investigate plugins as well, could be a problem with a plugin you have installed.

Thanks
