Hi,

The theme will set the website logo as h1 as explained in these topics
https://forum.tagdiv.com/topic/h1-on-logo-inside-pages/
https://forum.tagdiv.com/topic/h1-in-logo/
https://forum.tagdiv.com/topic/multiple-h1-in-a-my-custom-page/

Header style 3 and multipurpose header style 3 are different header styles. The non multipurpose styles can be modified in a child theme, the others cannot (they are added by the former multipurpose plugin now included in the tagDiv composer).

Thanks

Hi,

Please try and re-save the permalinks in WordPress settings
https://www.screencast.com/t/wEDgWwEkz
Then check if the AMP posts are accessible, add /amp at the end of the post page URL. There should be no problem.

Thanks

There were some issues with text elements in version 9, but they were fixed in 9.0.1. If some text elements have this problem, try to remove and re-add them. Or return to a previous page revision in the back-end page edit screen.

So if you made modifications to text elements or added text elements in pages while using version 9, remove and re-add them or return to a previous page revision. In the latest 9.0.1 the problem is fixed so it should not happen again.

We are very sorry for causing such an inconvenience, sometimes no matter how much tests are made there still are issues.

The tagDiv composer has options of it’s own for this. Simply select the viewport and hide the element
https://www.screencast.com/t/fkuD2GDafe
https://www.screencast.com/t/F1uHjs926oO
I am not sure if those classes worked before without WPBakery active, never tried that. If you say that they worked, maybe recent changes in updates affected them.

Hi,

So this option is missing for you? – https://www.screencast.com/t/tmnDWsGjT0B
From what I remember in almost all similar cases the problem was caused by a plugin.

That would be easy to verify, deactivate all plugins except theme plugins and check if the issue is solved.

Hi,

I did not see that message before. That message is not coming from our theme or WordPress even. Do you maybe have a security plugin or server security module active?
Seems to mention to contact support, maybe you should do that if you have an idea what displays it. Also contact the hosting provider, they might have an idea.

Thanks

Hi,

The original image will not be used, that would increase the page size very much. That is why the theme creates thumbnails and displays those instead of the original images
https://forum.tagdiv.com/theme-thumbs/

Don’t disable all of the thumbnails, disable the ones that are not used anywhere. Analyze which elements you use and disable the others.
Here you can see what module each block or grid uses
https://forum.tagdiv.com/theme-blocks-modules/

Displaying thumbnails instead of the full original images is a feature, it greatly reduces the total page size, and improving the loading speed significantly.

Hi,

That would be impossible. It would mean the theme has not been updated properly. The old theme files will be replaced entirely with the new ones, so still serving the old stylesheet is quite not possible.

This is the update guide you can follow, most recommended and reliable method is by FTP
https://forum.tagdiv.com/how-to-update-the-theme-2/

The current package available for download is 9.0.1
https://www.screencast.com/t/RO0VkNeH5
Try and reinstall it again, follow the steps in the guide and there should be no problem.

Hi,

1. Do you use the tagDiv composer or WPBakery? Both have options to hide elements by viewport. But most important, if you have both active the hide element may not work. So if you use WPBakery for example, deactivate the tagDiv composer and check again.

2. Same here, if you use WPBakery to set an animation, deactivate the tagDiv composer.

3. Same here, now it is quite clear you use WPBakery. If so, deactivate the tagDiv composer.

When both are active there will be problems with some elements, which will not work properly.

Thanks

Hi,

That issue still keeps happening for some users, we have taken steps to try and identify the circumstances in which it happens. In some cases it was caused by plugins, try to deactivate them all except theme plugins, then check again.

Also maybe go over the them requirements guide again
https://forum.tagdiv.com/requirements-for-newspaper/

We could take a look as well, maybe we can identify what is happening. Send us an email at contact@tagdiv.com and provide admin login and also cPanel if possible. Include a link to this topic in the email.

Thanks

Hi,

Change them where exactly? Headings can be in many places. For example for the headings in the post content there is a setting in the theme panel

Thanks

Hi,

You could use the page template page with title, that displays breadcrumbs

Hi,

You can increase the line height of the menu, in the theme panel
https://www.screencast.com/t/ck4WCEBsSO
The line height will directly affect the height of the header. Experiment with different values until you find the best result.

Hi,

The background color of the top bar can be set here
https://www.screencast.com/t/haeXIfNQoS
Most header colors can be changed in the theme colors header section. The footer background color can also be changed in the theme colors panel.

This underline here – http://www.screencast.com/t/XhWXLrnk3Ik that is affected by the theme accent color also set in the theme colors section. The theme accent color will apply to various elements for a more general feel
https://www.screencast.com/t/aUEnJKSV8

For the colors used here – http://www.screencast.com/t/ItMdvyZ6
Edit the page with the tagDiv composer, click on the block then change the colors of the title and big title
https://www.screencast.com/t/ZEpFmOczvc4K

For the font settings, there are settings for most elements, in the theme fonts section. In case of elements of the tagDiv composer, like modules used in blocks and grids the theme panel font settings are general. That means thjat for example if you change the font for module 1 title
https://www.screencast.com/t/nteCZpkZXaS
All the modules 1 will load that font.

We introduced more specific settings for the font and font properties in the composer, so each elements can have it’s own font settings without affecting same type elements
https://www.screencast.com/t/7BOhy2H3rm

You can ask any question you might have, or if I missed something or there are still things that are unclear.

Thanks

Hi,

Pages can display comments if enabled in the Theme panel->Template settings->Page template
https://www.screencast.com/t/58HiEUOboy
That is the general setting, then you can set it by page
https://www.screencast.com/t/iKFJcaS8H
As a side note, if the page uses the latest articles template the comments will not be displayed.
If I misunderstand something please correct me.

Thanks

@simchris Oops, thank you for mentioning it. We will fix that.

@mike_ashworth
Nothing to worry, an issue with the favicon of this forum.

Simion C.

Hi,

That is not possible. Big grids and blocks display posts, clicking on a module will lead to the respective post page, not to the category page in which the post is included.

What you are trying to do is not the intended functionality of the modules, they cannot be made to function like that.

Hi,

Maybe that author doesn’t have an image in the user profile settings
https://www.screencast.com/t/n7vbH2HP
https://www.screencast.com/t/LLM4jfvHd
Also make sure the author ID you enter is valid. You can find the ID in many ways. For example like this
http://guides.slidervilla.com/2014/04/find-user-id-author-wordpress/

Hi,

It should run the shortcode, does it work if you enter the shortcode in a text element?
https://www.screencast.com/t/XdbRxbBzgjt
Enter it there then save the page and view it.

Hi,

Do the images show if you disable the Jetpack lazy-load? try it like that. From what I can see there is only an image set as background in those modules
https://www.screencast.com/t/feaRM1oj
The link is good, but the image is not loaded properly.

Thanks

That guide has to be updated, now the columns can be made sticky with this option
https://www.screencast.com/t/rw9X9wNkZIe
The theme panel setting has to be active for this to work
https://www.screencast.com/t/fWy9gXHLe
Each column has the sticky setting, check it and the columns should be sticky.

Hi,

I still don’t quite know what circle would that be. Do you mean the author box?
https://demo.tagdiv.com/newspaper/author-box/
I could give you a code to make the image not link to the author page, if that is what you want.

Simion C.

Hi,

We separated those in two elements, there were quite many requests to do so previously. So for the moment using the cloud templates they are different things, no relation to each other. Only the predefined templates display them in the same block.

Maybe this will change in the future, I cannot say for sure.

Thanks
