Hi,
@Mariola We could take a look, send us an email as mentioned above. Mention a page with the problem, or how we can recreate the problem in this case. The steps you are taking before the error appears will be very helpful.
Please include a link to this topic in the email.
Thanks
Hi,
So this has started happening after the latest update or was it the case before? Do you also use the speedbooster plugin?
I can add this on our list and it will be investigated.
Hi,
It should look like this on mobile – https://www.screencast.com/t/ExDvyAFL1b
Is it different for you? could you provide a link to the page?
I tried to replicate the design, set background for the row

Hi,
I believe you use the Jetpack popular sorting, that means the the plugin will filter and display the resulting posts, everything is done through the Jetpack plugin. But it should work properly.
What happens if you increase the number of posts in the block settings? Do other posts appear?
Hi,
So there are problems activating the theme in WordPress themes settings? Does the theme activate despite those messages or it fails completely?
Try deactivating all non-theme plugins as a test, if you made any modifications to WordPress please remove them temporarily. Then try and activate the theme again.
Also be sure to check the theme requirements guide carefully
– https://forum.tagdiv.com/requirements-for-newspaper/
Let us know what you find, or what solved the problem.
Thanks
Hi,
@mmedia Tried it again, seems to work – https://www.screencast.com/t/EvRkhZBpQn
Does it not work after you enter it in the theme panel? Could be caching, clear the website cache, also force refresh the category page (Ctrl+Shift+R).
Hi,
So you mean the thumbnails disappeared from blocks/grids modules? Maybe after changing the filter settings the new posts which appear don’t have featured images set
– https://forum.tagdiv.com/featured-image-or-video/
If that is the case there will be no thumbnails created
– https://forum.tagdiv.com/theme-thumbs/
But you say the images disappeared in the whole website and also the tagDiv composer plugin has been removed? Now that is unusual. Could be related to insufficient resources, specially WP memory
– https://forum.tagdiv.com/requirements-for-newspaper/
I would suggest that you contact the hosting provider and ask them to increase the values of the parameters mentioned in the guide if necessary.
Also maybe they can check if something happened with the server or database recently.
Hi,
Once an ad code is entered in a theme panel ad spot, the theme will display it at all times. I would have no idea how you are setting ad duration or why this is happening unfortunately. No clue how that works.
Maybe create the ad codes as needed in a different install where the theme is not active, then use them in the desired ad spots. That would be a solution if the active theme doesn’t allow you to create ad codes properly and interferes with the process or template you mention.
Sorry for the inconvenience, I have no solution in this case. We did not make any tests with such an ad system so it may or may not work fully with the theme.
Thanks
Hi,
So the backgrounds of the rows load fast while the content loads slower? A setting to set a delay for the background loading does not exist unfortunately. Provide an example of a page where this is happening so I can check on mobile.
Thanks
Hi,
Do you maybe use RTL? The theme design will most likely not look properly if RTL is used. The theme does not support RTL unfortunately. It would require many modifications to make it compatible and display better in these circumstances. Sorry for the inconvenience.
Thanks
Hi,
You mean the posts are duplicated within the category pages? I could take a look, provide a link to a category page where this happens.
There could be duplicated posts meaning posts displayed in the category grid and also in the post loop below. Try to use an offset in the post loop if that is the case, the value should be the number of posts displayed in the grid above. Like this example
– https://www.screencast.com/t/r6YSG3d0
If I misunderstand please correct me.
Thanks
Hi,
Seems that none of the post pages display breadcrumbs. That post seems to be part of this category
– https://climbingtechtips.com/category/gym-top-rope-climbing/
But I can’t find the post there however.
This page will show breadcrumbs – https://climbingtechtips.com/instructional-climbing-videos-2/gym-top-rope-climbing/
The template page with title is used and also there are parent/child connections between the pages.
That page will be in no relation to the post you mention, between posts and pages there is no relation. The connection will be between the category page and the post belonging to it.
It is unusual that the post pages don’t display breadcrumbs. Did you maybe make any modifications to the post template files mainly the single php files?
Could be the result of a plugin conflict as well, try leaving only theme plugins active and check again. Breadcrumbs should display at all times for posts once enabled.
Hi,
I checked the website on mobile, tested the menu for a while. I see no problem with it, works alright from what I can see
– https://www.screencast.com/t/bBagfWviMAL
Maybe you solved the problem with the menu.
Hi,
Some elements will still not work properly when both composers are active, some issues were fixed. For example theme provided blocks and grids should work and display the same with both active.
Visual composer specific elements or addons will not work if Visual composer is deactivated. Also they may not display or work properly if both page builders are active. So this may not be easy.
One way to check what will happen in your case is to create a local copy of the website, install and activate the tagDiv composer, then identify whatever problems should present themselves. Better this way than doing it on the live website.
Thanks
Hi,
Did you maybe made any modifications to WordPress files, mainly the functions.php file. Seems the error points to it “public_html/wp-includes/functions.php”. Remove the modifications if you made any, or if you entered custom code in it remove it as well.
Also check if the theme requirements are met fully, check if the required PHP extensions are active
– https://forum.tagdiv.com/requirements-for-newspaper/
Contact your hosting provider for assistance in activating the extensions if needed, also mention the error to them, maybe they have an idea about the problem.
Hi,
So it happens on an iPad? I could give you a code to add some margin top to the header ad both. I tested with the emulator, the ad looks like this
– https://www.screencast.com/t/Fini7DHO0Z
With an added margin both top and bottom it would look like this
– https://www.screencast.com/t/ms1fZpD9jLa
.td-header-rec-wrap {
margin-top: 14px;
margin-bottom: 14px;
}
Enter that here – https://www.screencast.com/t/mt7A3PpdSKv
Do you maybe use a value here for tablets? – https://www.screencast.com/t/AUl3xVNYslL3
Thanks
Hi,
Maybe you can check what files exactly occupy that space somehow. Note that the theme will create multiple thumbnails from the images you set as featured, that could be it
– https://forum.tagdiv.com/theme-thumbs/
Disable unused sizes to save up space if that is the case. A list of the modules used by blocks and grids here
– https://forum.tagdiv.com/theme-blocks-modules/
Hi,
Seems the image box as a widget does not have the same target blank setting as in the composer for example. I will add this on our list and it will be investigated. Sorry for the inconvenience.
Maybe you can use the composer to set the sidebar for the place you want. The tagDiv composer and cloud library plugin can be used to create post templates, category templates etc.
You could use this method and set image box with the composer, there will be a target blank setting.
Thanks
Hi,
The same happened for me, if the booster is active the value set in the flex block image height does not apply anymore. I will add this on our list and it will be investigated.
Sorry for the inconvenience, best you leave the booster deactivated so you can use the flex block setting properly.
Hi,
You are referring to that white line below the image? What exactly is that and why exactly can’t you remove it? If you could provide a link to the website I will take a look.
The Donate button is set in the multipurpose settings here
– https://www.screencast.com/t/ywDC5gIHDkJc
Remove it or edit it from there.
Thanks
Hi,
There are a few topics you can check to see how you can find the theme strings
– https://forum.tagdiv.com/topic/theme-translation-with-wpml-in-spanish/
– https://forum.tagdiv.com/topic/wpml-and-header-text-logo/
– https://forum.tagdiv.com/topic/wpml-theme-translate-logo/
If the chosen strings are not visible in the translation after adding them, it could be the problem from here (this solved many similar issues)
Thanks
Hi,
The post template can be set globally for all posts at once, or for each post. These would be the only options for setting the template. So when creating or editing a post you can set any post template you want for it. If you want template 5 set that for the posts you want.
The only way to have a post automatically have a template style is to set one globally and leave the per post setting on “From panel”
But that is a general setting, it may not be what you want.
There is also an option to disable the featured image, this is as well a general setting
– https://www.screencast.com/t/cOWncAJNjN
Thanks
Hi,
This is unusual, so you delete a block in the sidebar and set a new one, then sometimes the old block is still displayed? Once removed and saved/updated it would be somewhat impossible that the old one is still displayed.
Are you checking and seeing the problem in the same conditions? If you could provide a link to where this happens, we will take a look. Provide a link, mention what you are doing and what happens exactly.
Thanks
Hi,
The background header image is defined in the header template file, each header style has this option I believe
– https://www.screencast.com/t/ZXSBuyyA
You could create conditions for each category, if is category set a background image. I did not try something like that, can’t say if it’s possible or not.
There would be another way of doing it, with some CSS. For example using the category ID
– https://www.screencast.com/t/snAWT51EL0vc
You could set a background image with CSS for each category like that.
From what I know there are plans to provide an increased functionality for the header in the future, so maybe something like this will be possible.
Thanks
Hi,
Using cloud single templates you will have to define a sidebar in the actual template, either by dragging the elements you want in the allocated sidebar space (by splitting the rows when creating the template) or by using a widget sidebar element and choosing from your widget sidebars
