Hi,

@jasman2020 So the tagDiv composer is not working properly for you. There a few solutions you can try, these worked in some cases
https://forum.tagdiv.com/topic/gray-page-tagdiv/
https://forum.tagdiv.com/topic/javascript-error-td-composer-wont-load/
Be sure to take a look at the theme system status as well. Those parameters are important in the functionality of the theme and plugins. Let us know the results.

Thanks

Hi,

You could try re-installing the theme (by FTP if possible), additionally deactivate all non-theme plugins as test. Check if this has any effect.

If there is still a problem, we could take a look. Send us an email at contact@tagdiv.com and provide admin login, FTP and cPanel access if possible. Maybe we can identify what could be the cause of the problem. Please also include a link to this topic in the email.

Hi,

For me your website loads quite quickly, homepage in about 2 seconds and posts in just under 3 seconds.
From what I can see there are some timeouts on some resources that are trying to load
https://www.screencast.com/t/JYmeNiIOzI
Those seem to be related to a plugin
https://www.screencast.com/t/HerqPcvvHbS
Also there a a few mixed content warnings related to some images. All of these could potentially slow down the website. Try to fix them and check again.

Also consider using caching if you do not already, we recommend the WP super cache if possible. There are also many speed optimization guides here in the forum

Hi,

The icons in the top bar will appear if you enter social accounts links for them in the theme panel
https://www.screencast.com/t/v6fzHvIN2a
The post sharing socials will appear if you first enable theme and select the ones you want (there is a button for top sharing and one for bottom sharing)
https://www.screencast.com/t/xANUdn4p

If you configured both properly and to no result, please provide a link to your website so we can take a look.

Thanks

Hi,

I could take a look at that issue, please provide a link to such a post so I can inspect it.

Hi,

If you want to display posts from the category you created in the homepage, you simply have to configure the block you want from the page content. Edit the page with the composer and select the block you want
https://forum.tagdiv.com/block-settings-guide/
Next select the category, in the filter tab
https://www.screencast.com/t/8qibYybU
You can also sort the posts, the options for that are in the same Filter tab. The multiple categories filter is for when you want to display posts from more than one categories, it works by adding IDs

Maybe I am not understanding this properly. The block header style can be set globally in the theme panel
https://www.screencast.com/t/EphiL5GX9uF
This general setting is overridden by the individual setting
https://www.screencast.com/t/rzysGhP8Hh9y
The ajax filter may look different from style to style, see them all here
https://demo.tagdiv.com/newspaper/block-header-1/
Carefully check your filtering and sorting of the block, in order for the posts to appear.

Now it seems a post is displayed in that block

Hi,

1. With CSS it could be removed more specifically, maybe like this by menu item ID
https://www.screencast.com/t/o0zh1MAq68c
It could be removed in the code, but for all the mega-menus
https://forum.tagdiv.com/topic/delete-all-category-in-mega-menu/

1a. Either rename the term “All” in the code or in the theme translations
https://www.screencast.com/t/SxvmskgzHl

2. Each block will first call this pagination
https://www.screencast.com/t/6LoHtYqUt
It will appear in the intended place, there is design that is created specially for this
https://www.screencast.com/t/TWIzHkwMW4
Maybe that could be done with recreating CSS design for it in addition to code modifications, it could mean a lot of work. Design in blocks is carefully created, even the slightest modification could damage it sometimes.

Hi,

I have tested the post on mobile, the video is displayed for me at the moment

@trailblazer What you would have to do is to remove the inline text element from the first screenshot you mention. Remove the whole row, drag it in the right corner. Then place a new row in the same position
https://www.screencast.com/t/23TUzos0bJ4
In that row insert a column text for example
https://www.screencast.com/t/4l0tlLJkvle
Then in order to display the row below the header set a negative margin top for the row

Hi,

Seems the layout is broken, the sidebar widgets are mixed with the main content for some reason. You could try as a first test to deactivate all plugins except theme plugins and buddypress. Then try again.
If the layout is still broken, inspect the page with the browser inspector and open the browser console and see if there are any errors present.

Thanks

Hi,

The problems with the layout you were experiencing could be related to having both the composers active at the same time. When the tagDiv composer and also WPBakery page builder are active, there could be layout problems.
The tagDiv composer will be activated automatically as soon as the theme is installed or updated.
So if you used Visual composer elements to create pages, deactivate the tagDiv composer. There will not be problems with default theme elements such as blocks and grids but specific WPBakery items can be affected by the tagDiv composer.

1. That code should still apply. Once entered in the theme panel custom code section, the code will not be affected by updating the theme so it should apply at all times. I could take a look at this, if you will decide to update the theme again.

2. The socials were redesigned in version 8.6 I believe, they will not be the same as before. more about this here
https://tagdiv.com/social-network-buttons/
In almost all cases when the socials were not displayed after updating the theme, it was either cache or CDN issues, or even the browser cache. We can take a look at this as well.

3. The latest theme version contains the fixes for the Instagram widget and also the social counter. So there would be no issue. From the user feedback we have Instagram works properly after updating to the latest version.

If you should decide to update again, first deactivate the tagDiv composer. Then clear all caching, purge CDN if used and also browser cache. Let us know, so we can take a look at the problems that remain if there are any.

Hi,

So you want to remove that design for the homepage post top part, like this
https://www.screencast.com/t/HdWhHVRT
Try this code and it should work

.homepage-post .td-image-gradient-style8:after {
display: none;
}
.homepage-post .td-post-header {
background-color: transparent;
}

The homepage post in the sub-domain seems to display the featured image at the moment

Indeed, I did not see that. This should fix that, give it a try and see if it works properly
https://www.screencast.com/t/1PQPfwUIuSE

body[class*=paged][class*=single] .td-post-content > p:first-child {
display: none;
}

You can change the header style to the one you like, that would not be an issue. Each header style is different than the other, choose the one you like.

Hi,

@centralcoins
If you test that post with the debugger there are some errors in fetching the post meta, Facebook does not find anything or cannot access the page for some reason
https://developers.facebook.com/tools/debug/og/object/
If you click on “See exactly what our scraper sees for your URL” it provides a blank page at the moment. I found some related topics with those errors
https://www.facebook.com/help/community/question/?id=10153041718989669
https://stackoverflow.com/questions/25747758/facebook-error-parsing-input-url-no-data-was-cached-or-no-data-was-scraped
You could check for more online as well, and keep testing. If possible provide the solution here after you find it.

Thanks

Hi,

That could happen if you use an older version of the theme. I believe this issue happened after WordPress 4.9 update in the last year. There were also other issues that were identified. The theme was fixed in version 8.2
https://www.screencast.com/t/dhwnCJ7SY4
So if you use an older version than 8.2 that could happen. It is always recommended to keep both WordPress, the theme and plugins up to date if possible. Older themes and plugins may not function correctly with latest WordPress.

Thanks

Simion C.

So you want to use block header style 1 fro that block 4, I see it currently uses block style 17
https://demo.tagdiv.com/newspaper/block-header-17/
Still the block should display posts and the ajax filter just like it can be seen in the demo block. Does this happen if you enable the ajax filter on a different block? or on a new page? Maybe it is a conflict of some kind if the ajax filter does not work in other cases as well. Could be caused by a plugin or code additions.

Try deactivating all the plugins except theme plugins and check if the block functions properly. Temporarily remove code entered in theme files directly or theme panel. Let us know the results.

Regardless of page builder used to create the page, the blocks and ajax filter should work without any issues. The tagDiv composer is created specially for the theme, also WPBakery (Visual composer) is tested with the theme after each update and included in the theme package.

Hi,

Some sharing socials will show only on mobile, this is the case for WhatsApp. Please check on a mobile device, it should be displayed then.

If it does not despite being enabled in the theme panel, please provide a link to your website so we can take a look.

Hi,

That would be the tabs element of WPBakery page builder, the tagDiv composer does not have an equivalent element at the moment. In the past some theme demos used to contain tabs like the website you mention.
The theme version used by that website seems to be 7.2 so it most likely uses Visual composer for page building. Using the tabs element you could create as many as you like and enter different elements in each one, in this case it is same grid type with different filtering.

Thanks

Seems the issue is quite common for what I found online
https://wordpress.org/support/topic/http-error-when-attempting-to-upload-media/
There are some suggestions in the topic that you could also try. The first would be to ask the host to check the logs, there might be some errors there. In some cases even an apostrophe in the image name can cause uploading issues. Also take a look at the permission set on the uploads folder
http://www.wpbeginner.com/wp-tutorials/how-to-fix-image-upload-issue-in-wordpress/

Hi,

I believe that multiple fonts are used for the creation of that logo. Some of the letters would use the Nasalization font and others something like the Gilroy font. I cannot say for sure but I could inquire for the fonts used if these suggestions are not satisfactory.

Thanks

Hi,

This could be caused by insufficient resources, in most cases it is caused by low WP memory. The theme has a system status that you can check
https://forum.tagdiv.com/requirements-for-newspaper/
Ask your hosting provider to increase the parameters mentioned in the guide, if necessary.

That would be one suggestion you can try. I found this topic in the matter as well
https://docs.presscustomizr.com/article/229-fixing-errors-when-uploading-images-in-wordpress

Thanks

For all posts it would be like this

body[class*="paged"][class*=single] .td-post-content p:first-child {
display: none;
}

The code will apply to posts that have the paged class, meaning when a smart list is used starting from the second page.

It will also apply if you use post pagination such as this
https://forum.tagdiv.com/posts-with-pagination/
There is no way that I can think of to differentiate between posts containing a smart list and the ones that are simply paginated, also in relation to that paragraph.

Simion C.
tagDiv Staff

You could give that a try, maybe you can do it. The theme does not have a lot of options and settings targeted for custom post types and taxonomies, these would be all of them at the moment
