Hi,
1. Indeed, the latest post sorting will display posts as soon as they are published, from the categories you choose. That is for all block and grid types available.
2. Those can be arranged as you like. Enter the category IDs in the order you want, in the ajax filter field
– https://www.screencast.com/t/nSL9TrsFH
Category IDs can be seen here for example
– https://www.screencast.com/t/6EI6zvxKznfr
With the ajax filter you can have only specific categories displayed.
3. The “More” dropdown will appear when there is not enough space available to display all the categories.
Please let us know if you have further questions, or you need help with something.
Thanks
Hi,
The theme uses modules to display posts on pages, these modules form blocks and grids. A block or grid can contain multiple module types
– https://forum.tagdiv.com/theme-blocks-modules/
Each of the modules has a predefined thumbnail size
– https://forum.tagdiv.com/theme-thumbs/
The necessary thumbnails will be created from the featured images or videos you set for posts
– https://forum.tagdiv.com/featured-image-or-video/
A center-top cropping is used when creating the thumbnails
– https://forum.tagdiv.com/featured-image/
The resulting thumbnails are also affected by the image aspect ratio
– https://forum.tagdiv.com/thumbnails-vs-featured-image-size/
So different modules can have different results with the same image. You can choose what block types you use, also the modules used where they are present.
I see you are using block 13 on your homepage, by editing the page with the tagDiv composer you can add/remove blocks and configure them
– https://forum.tagdiv.com/block-settings-guide/
So to summarize the thumbnails cannot be resized with a theme option, you can change module/block type but not the thumbnail size.
Please correct me if I misunderstand something.
Thanks
@munichnow The wider layout is achieved by stretching the rows. There are also many Full grids available that can be used
– https://demo.tagdiv.com/newspaper/full-big-grid-1/
If you built your website with Visual composer you can keep using that, or consider switching to the tagDiv composer
– https://forum.tagdiv.com/tagdiv-composer-tutorial/
The tagDiv composer will receive many more features and options. Also the multi-purpose plugin can be used with it
– https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=C0ARTSimnUY&index=4&list=PL6CsDkMaejhr2ExZCO73U11SSVKB9r_NE
These new elements cannot be used with Visual composer. In case you should consider using the tagDiv composer, you will have to recreate all the pages with it.
Thanks
Hi,
You cannot do that, blocks are predefined. Block 15 you mention will always display 3 modules in a 2 column layout, 5 when in a full row
– https://demo.tagdiv.com/newspaper/block-15/
In the coming update there will be a new type of block introduced. With it this could be achieved.
Thanks
Hi,
Assuming you have user rights to preview the post (users that can edit posts can also preview them) then there should be no problem.
You could try deactivating all plugins, leave only theme plugins active. Then check if this has any effect on the issue.
Thanks
Hi,
The video playlist is not a recent element, it has been around for a while. It can be found in either Visual composer or tagDiv composer
– https://www.screencast.com/t/2pkni3pdQo
It can also be placed in posts like this
– https://forum.tagdiv.com/video-playlist-2/
The playlist uses video IDs, these must be entered in the required field
– https://www.screencast.com/t/xHawJWERR
An alternative would be to simple embed ready made playlists, like these examples
– https://forum.tagdiv.com/topic/youtube-playlist-instead-of-each-video-individually/
Thanks
Hi,
Those would be quotes, these are available in the formats drop-down when creating a post
– https://forum.tagdiv.com/post-formats-for-tinymce/
– https://demo.tagdiv.com/newspaper/blockquotes-pullquotes/
You can color the font of the text and set a background color like this
– https://www.screencast.com/t/nnEB65XyyOv
Of course you can customize the quotes further with custom CSS if needed
– https://forum.tagdiv.com/create-custom-code-using-the-browsers-inspector/
Thanks
Hi,
1. From what I can see the website is missing the header section, I cannot even see the menu
– https://www.screencast.com/t/b0SO4uvrA9E
The current header structure is not coming from the theme
– https://www.screencast.com/t/t3I96vXsWvQs
Maybe there have been modifications made to the theme header style files directly or through a child theme. You could check if that is the case.
2. The block titles seem to have a white background color, that is what makes them invisible
– https://www.screencast.com/t/B9SVlQZH2
Edit the page with the composer and change the title background color, also check the general header background color set in the theme panel
– https://www.screencast.com/t/0fNQODVe9F0
3. Same here, check the widget settings or the general color set in the theme panel.
Ultimately you could try a theme reinstall, maybe there were problems when installing or migrating the website
– https://forum.tagdiv.com/install-via-ftp/
Thanks
Hi,
There will be some delay for the data to synchronize. There is a built-in cache, I believe it is 3 hours, so the data should refresh according to this cache.
Thanks
PHP 7.2 support will be available in the pending theme update, last minute preparations are made at this moment. The update will be released as soon as everything is completed.
Those would be the excerpts displayed on modules, the font and font properties can be changed in the theme panel, for all at once
– https://www.screencast.com/t/nvZlNrz3
Hi,
There are plans to provide options to allow customization of the font properties, for the text logo. At the moment there are no settings. It could only be changed with custom CSS or directly in the theme stylesheet. This would be with custom CSS
– https://forum.tagdiv.com/topic/font-for-text-logo/
– https://forum.tagdiv.com/topic/menubar-contained/
If you are having trouble with this, please provide a link to your website and mention how you want the text logo and tagline to be. We will give you a solution.
Thanks
Hi,
It seems there is an ad code that is not displaying, below the footer
– https://www.screencast.com/t/9ys37aAx
There is an option to display a footer ad, this will display the ad inside the footer container
– https://www.screencast.com/t/uFqtKq4NASh
– https://www.screencast.com/t/6VjESe4xBowj
But this will display the ad inside the footer container, not below it. So it is unusual that the ad in your case is placed outside the footer. That would happen if you entered the ad code in the custom HTML section of the theme panel, or maybe you are inserting the ads through a plugin or custom implementation.
I would suggest to review the ad codes you entered in theme panel, if you use a plugin maybe this has options to control where the ads are displayed.
Thanks
That would be the Sign in/Join in the top bar. It’s elements can be translated in the theme panel translation settings
– https://www.screencast.com/t/jqDfKAjSo
If you want to make modifications to the login modal, this would be the file
– https://www.screencast.com/t/DP7nBcreDhrf
– https://www.screencast.com/t/QmHabPcrLnc
Hi,
No problem, please do not hesitate to ask any question, we will try our best to help you.
The latest articles section can have a custom name (or it can be disabled if needed)
Also it has an option to set a widget sidebar
– https://www.screencast.com/t/HxNp0PzFkHkE
All the widget sidebars can be edited in Appearance->Widgets
– https://www.screencast.com/t/QkgB4gEO9
That is where the footer sections can be customized as well
– https://forum.tagdiv.com/footer-templates/
You can have as many sidebars as you need, they can be created from multiple places
– https://forum.tagdiv.com/sidebars-tutorial/
Thanks
Hi,
The featured category is not mandatory, you could even remove it if needed. It is a simple category with some special attributes
– https://forum.tagdiv.com/featured-posts-2/
Content can still be displayed in blocks without it just as well. Of course it is also helpful (no category tag, featured sorting).
In terms of SEO I really could not say if something like that will affect the website in a negative or positive way. You could maybe make some more online research in the matter, there are many helpful SEO tutorials available. You can make a decision based on those, hopefully the right one.
The forum search will display results from documentation first, then topic results

Please let us know if you have further questions, or you need help with something.
Thanks
Indeed the author image and author name will always link to the author page, that is what it is supposed to do. Those links cannot be changed unless modifications are made in the code, or maybe with redirects.
This is where the author image and name links are defined in the theme, if you would like to make changes to them
– https://www.screencast.com/t/Y4gaA8SjY
Thanks
@Asamblea Please provide some more details about what exactly is happening, what is preventing you from using the composer. There should not be any problem, simply create a new page and edit it with the tagDiv composer.
Add the elements you want and set it as homepage, like this
– https://forum.tagdiv.com/homepage-how-to-build-and-set-it/
You could try the solutions from these topics if the icons are replaced with strange characters
– https://forum.tagdiv.com/topic/strange-chinese-symbols-replaced-icons-and-arrows/
– https://forum.tagdiv.com/topic/font-blocked-from-loading-by-cross-origin-resource-sharing-policy-no-access-co/
These worked for most users, it is an issue with the server configuration and the required font used for the icons cannot be loaded properly.
Then enable it and leave it enabled (if you did not already), there will be no problem. Clear the cache after enabling it. The views will be updated through ajax
– https://codex.wordpress.org/AJAX
This is a topic where some suggestions are mentioned, to use custom code in order to apply a padding on the post content elements for all posts at once
– https://forum.tagdiv.com/topic/post-width-for-full-width/
Hi,
I have tried adding the same code you are using to create the custom post types, added in the child theme functions file
– https://www.screencast.com/t/rha8hfTc
These show up properly as custom post types and I have no issue using them
– https://www.screencast.com/t/4iFMzMQU4ubk
Also there is no problem with the composer after doing this, it works the same as before. I even saved the permalinks as you mention, there were no issues after doing this. I don;t exactly understand what require lines you are modifying, maybe that is what is causing the issue.
Thanks
The iframe has a fixed width, try entering this code in Theme panel->Custom CSS and it will be scroll-able
– https://www.screencast.com/t/RmTRvfErHius
– https://www.screencast.com/t/mEz1cJyjY
.vc_raw_html iframe {
width: 100%;
}
Or make the modification in the frame code itself. Fixed values will probably not display properly and they will not be responsive when there is no sufficient space available.
Hi,
All the modules display the date and category tags. If these are not showing for you, please make sure they are enabled in the theme panel. The date can be enabled here for modules/blocks
– https://www.screencast.com/t/VY4W2jJXjRfP
The category tag can be enabled/disabled for each module
– https://www.screencast.com/t/gcvU2XXSASS
The date format can be changed if needed in the WordPress settings
– https://www.screencast.com/t/nwBC7vGxEifE
– https://codex.wordpress.org/Formatting_Date_and_Time
If this is not what you wanted, please try to provide some more details for a better understanding.
Thanks
Replied in your other topic.
