Hello!

I just updated my theme to Newspaper 8, but when I try to create a new page and edit it with TD Composer nothing happens. I click add new element but it’s impossible to drag anything but the “icon” of the thing I’m trying to add to the page (example: slider, post block, etc). Is anyone having the same problem?

Just a note – the very popular AMPforWP plugin has released what it calls an ‘AMP Newspaper theme’ – it is in fact what appears to be TagDiv’s Newspaper theme edited for AMP; all very good, except it’s selling for $49 PER YEAR

Hi guys,

I love the review rating system on Newspaper but need some help. Basically, I want the star rating to be on the right of the title or below it. At the moment I managed to put it in the title by adding the simple <i> code, however, I have to do this manually is there any code that I could add to the PHP or so that would add the review automatically to the title as well the normal bottom of the article.

We all would appreciate if Tagdiv can include AMP Theme with the subscription of Newspaper 8 Theme.

Hi Team,
With every new theme update, I always have to make a few changes in the theme’s core file and now I am fade up with this.

There are two main files that I have to customize in the core theme file. 1. Style.css 2. Functions.php
( I am not talking about custom CSS but the real style.css file under theme)

Is there a way by which I can keep these changes in functions.php and style.css stable/fixed using child theme even after updating theme?

Should I simply copy the code that I change in core style.css file and paste it in style.css of child theme? Will this work? or will it load the style.css two times?

There is some tutorial here – https://codex.wordpress.org/Child_Themes which ensure that the child theme stylesheet loads after original style.css.

Is this code already written under our sample child theme file?

What about functions.php? there are multiple codes that I have added at the end of theme’s core functions.php. Should I delete these codes from core functions.php and write it on the child theme functions.php? If so? where do I need to write these codes?

Please help me create an almost stable style.css and functions.php under child theme so that all theme upgrade doesn’t affect all frequent updates.

I have two questions regarding the author pages.

1. What is the best image size to upload for author photo, so it isn’t blurry (see example below)

2. Also, how do you hide the comment count? We don’t use wordpress comments on our stories, so they are all “0”. We would like that to be hidden on author pages.
