#3 – Looks like it changes the pagination buttons all through out the site. For example: On the related articles and the ticker buttons on the homepage. Is there a way to only change the buttons in the paginated article.
What I would like to do is make the buttons bigger and change its color.
Is it possible to edit the order of posts within a block. For example, can you choose which post is featured on the left in Block 1?

The theme was designed in such a way that the top menu is hidden on the mobile version. There is a workaround however, using a custom CSS code, but you need to tell us what you want your mobile top-menu to contain, because the space is limited on mobile phones and adding all of the content (login widget, menu and social icons) will take up a big portion of the screen.

When you create your menu, do not include the sub-categories. That will double your mega-menu. Just add the parent category and it will automatically detect the sub-categories like in this example:

I searched and found a post on this here https://forum.tagdiv.com/topic/post-settings-per-category-or-custom-post-type/ . . . but the solution didn’t work for me.
I uploaded the child theme, created the correct file in the correct directory, and dropped in the . . .
&& !in_category('contests')
. . . code in the appropriate files, but didn’t see any change.
On a whim, I tried making the changes on the theme files itself, which did remove the date in the category in question, but not the author (or the dash between them).
So, to restate: is there a way for me to hide the author and date in category listings and single posts for specific categories?
Please let me know, with many thanks in advance for your time.

The post slider it’s a built-in VC block and it’s needed custom modification to change his functionality, but you can use Revolution Slider plugin which have a more complex functionality to display a post slider.

i just received some updates in my google adsense account i.e Page level ads for highend mobile devices and Matched content for all devices.
Page level ads – Place this ad code in the <head> tag (or at the top of the <body>) of the pages where you want to show the ads. It’s the same ad code for every page and site, and you won’t need to change it even if you adjust your Page-level ads settings.
1) Anchor/overlay ads – Mobile ads that stick to the edge of the user’s screen and are easily dismissable.

First of all, thanks so much for your work on this theme. We bought it a couple of years and are still very much enjoying the new features.
Now because we were stuck on Newspaper 4 and reading the documentation of Newspaper 6, we figured we might as well rebuild our website which required a rebuild anyways.
Now, so far things are working out (except for some featured images which will have to be done by hand I’m afraid).
However, some thing I noticed and which we’ve enjoyed from this theme from the start, are the beautiful quotes which can be placed in the articles. But when exported and imported, these shortcodes don’t seem to work anymore.
Is there a workaround or am I simply missing something?

You’re right about post grids functionality, it loads all article and display the hidden ones when you click on load more button, but google does not penalizing your site because of this implementation.
I’ve checked your site with https://developers.google.com/speed/pagespeed/insights/?url=http%3A%2F%2Fwww.almosthuman.cn%2F&tab=desktop and notice that you don’t have set the leverage browser caching also the images aren’t optimized. Please check our page speed guide here: https://forum.tagdiv.com/how-to-make-the-site-faster/ and try to increase your page speed following that instruction. Also if you decide to use the Speed Booster plugin here are some useful information about his functionality: https://forum.tagdiv.com/topic/speed-booster-v4-1-disabled/

You can sort the articles displayed in big grid using his filter: http://screencast.com/t/CdH5pqM3O but it doesn’t have an option to apply different filter on the article displayed in it, to put for example in module mx5 (the one from the left) one filter and on the other for mx6 modules a different filter, the theme doesn’t provide that option. You will need custom modification to achieve that functionality and unfortunately we cannot offer any custom work at the moment, as we work hard on the development, updates, fixes and support. You can always get a freelancer from sites like: http://studio.envato.com/ if you don’t know how to do it yourself.

I think you are referring to the mega-menu with the sub-categories.
Example: I have these sub-categories set-up: http://screencast.com/t/oQWUprxmQ, but they will not appear in the mega-menu unless they have posts to display. like so: http://screencast.com/t/Quv88WAWiop (I only have posts in “test1”).
Mega-menu sub-category limit is 30 as long as you have posts in that sub-category.

I have to agree with danoah. My magazine is growing fine and it becomes quite complex right now. A sidewide system for unique articles would be more than awesome!
For example:
You are reading the newest article of our magazine. On the sidebar there are widgets like “newest articles” – most favourite within the last 7 days … and so on … Sometimes one article is shown up to three times within the “single.php” (including sidebars and footer widgets) …
And this does not look like a professional magazine, then … 😉
As you know – I just love your theme! But this is really a MUST HAVE feature for a magazine and online-newspaper.
So please, it really would be awesome, if the tagdiv team could find a quick solution for this! 🙂

I have newspaper theme v6.2 installed on my website.

To increase the user retention onto my website i want to open a subscribe popup with either a newsletter subscription or Facebook Like Box popup on First time website load for a user onto my portal.
How can this be achieved. I searched for multiple plugins but they impact the speed of the website drastically.
What’s the most fruitful and convenient way to achieve this without hampering the website speed and which is compatible with theme as well.

You will need custom modifications for this, as like I said above the block ajax categories consider the block title length and the length of the category name and display how many categories is possible. So you for other blocks the title length can differ(also the categories number) and you add a custom css it may break the layout, so you need more custom modifications also in the code and it is not an easy task. I suggest to hire a professional developer to do this for you as we cannot provide custom work at this time, sorry!
