Im using groups restrict access for a subscription website. i have allowed excerpts, images to display on pages until clicked on using the following code:

However this does not include the sidebar widgets that I have on posts. Is it possible to include widgets in the above code, for example I tried is_active_widget ('widget-id') and the_widget ('widget-id') but neither worked. Is there a theme widget tag that can be used?
Any help would be appreciated… its a real humdinger! 🙁

I have deleted WP Super Cache and nothing has changed.
I also went back to themeforest, downloaded the theme files, and uploaded the author.php file directly from themeforest…still having issues.
Has anyone else had this issue?

I’m trying to add some custom fields.
What I have done so far is
– created form with Gravity Forms
it create post for me with some custom fields
– installed Custom Field Suite
– managed to edit the code to show that custom fields in the post
The thing is that now every post would show that data

In the side nav /widget Facebook counter stopped updating. I looked in the documentation and couldn’t find anything specific. Is there a way to refresh? Google+ & Twitter updating fine.

I find the plugin very stable now, I would say it’s 5 times better than what I had available originally 8/9 months ago, when I started this as a hobbie at first. Again, I recommend a decent server, the cheapest one will require work to stay fast and deliver a pleasant user experience (like CDN, cache, optimized images, etc)
Dates are now easily set, used to be an headache. Depends what one consider “small things” I guess 🙂 everything that is standard or mainstream works very well.
Comments are not affected by the plugin (except for the labels of the input fields ofc), a comment made in a post, regardless of its content or its language, will appear in all versions (languages) of the post/page. I remember I stumbled upon an extension/plugin which allowed to show comments separated per language, I see it can be useful in some cases but it is not for mine, a least for now, so I never used/tested it. Out of the box, no option is given to the user commentating in regard of classifying a post as being in any particular language.
Menus are great, I just need to customize the theme or the plugin to show a flag in mobile, between the icons of search and slide the menu. Right now is ok but (just one click away) but I kindda like gimmicks
You can have a look at http://www.infoporto.pt but I still have some bugs and it might not be the best example because it has some customizations and custom post types and custom post fields… I just started January and I have other things not related to the site it self to deal with… The hobbie became serious but I had to focus first on one language first because, in my case, there’s a will to have some depth in the differences of the contents of each language (2 so far, soon professionals will be hired to translate a more solid number). I also had delays in releasing “final” and complete version of my site cause of constant developments, newspaper seems to support child themes and custom post types now so I need to check out that first before continuing to fine tune the custom functions I already made.

Just a quick one. I normally use Google Analytics for my Views/Data Collection etc.
What I did notice and something that was odd is that the page views on Google Analytics and the actual Page Views you see in the theme dosent add up.
For example we posted a post the other day and was monitoring the hits via Google Analtyics Real time views was about 152 but when i looked the Post views there was only 7.
Any one else having the same problem?

So if you want to hide the sidebar and footer from post you can use this css in theme panel > custom css:

You have to look for a plugin, an example would be – https://wordpress.org/plugins/restrict-author-posting/ – but note that i didn’t do any tests with this one, if it doesn’t work look for an alternative.

We use a lot of audio files in our news stories. We have had several calls from people on iPads, I also can’t get the audio to play from an iPhone.
We are embedding mp3 files through the ‘Add Media’ button

As I said, the theme is very good, so I would add a couple of suggestions to see if it could be implemented and so this was better.
1) Allow the video block that can add a list of Youtube, so no need to put videos manually and can be automatically updated.
2) Allow in blocks plus choose catagorías for example, to select pages published. So you can put manually a list of 5 such pages that are always displayed.

Good afternoon, the theme is great, but I found a couple of mistakes I’d like to fix.
1) I tried to justify text automatically but I could not. I put this code in custom css and does nothing:

2) I used Smart List but if I put vertical images, although justifying centered, stay on the left. The only option is going to fix it and delete the following text in the Text Editor: “ size-large wp-image-174009 aligncenter”
Any solution?
3) How I can invert the colors of the nav arrows so that instead of being white, are red for example? White is hard to see that there nav arrows, so I would like to invert the colors to make them look better.

The theme doesn’t have an option to remove the date from search engines however this could be done by removing all date stamps from post pages.

Ahhh ok, it be nice if auto was fluid though. All you do is set a height or something.
Text ads inline 600w x 280h look pretty spot on, hense why I want to do this. I can do it on my category pages, but I don’t use custom ad locations for that placement, therefore I am able to have the google code work correctly without the custom ad code auto wrap sizes.
Having the ad this size creates more competition from different ad sizes that can fit insize the square.
The content inline auto ad is a 468 banner, and those stopped being good ads once everyone moved onto larger resolutions years ago.
I guess there is no way to set percentage within the val => eh? For example ‘val’ => ‘100% x 280’)

To make those thumbnails and the rest of the elements (title, etc) look like the ones in your example you have to make modifications on the code and css. Unfortunately those modifications are not easy to make so my suggestion is to hire a professional developer to help you with this.
