Is there any way to create a post that refreshes itself in the background every minute—for example, using Ajax technology—or you can click and it will refresh—as done here:
https://soledaddemo.pencidesign.net/soledad-sport-news-2/2025/01/31/the-rise-of-college-football-powerhouses-whos-dominating-the-landscape/
You are correct, all is well. It just took some time for it to take place. For example after the first 30 min it wasn’t in place. But I checked the following day and overnight the changes seemed to go into effect.
Hi,
Yes, I am using Big Grid Flex 2.
If you can provide the CSS solution to make the mobile layout display like the Newsmag example, that would be great.
Thank you!
My question is about allowing the subscriber user to edit their listing on the frontend.
I have custom post types called “listing” which subscribers can create for their listing.
In this example, Ada Windows created a listing and a blog. The blog is okay in the frontend as the subscriber can edit the blog as in this image: image 1
Originally, the admin created the listing, but then associated the subscriber to the listing. However, the listing is not visible to the subscriber as in this image: image 2
I am using Members – Membership & User Role Editor Plugin but I cannot figure out if I have to set certain capabilities like here: image 3 or if I have to make changes to the frontend panel like here?: image 4
Hi,
While I’m not quite sure what’s happening exactly, I do see a mobile menu and a search inside the content of the homepage, not in the header -> https://prnt.sc/SNrqVyfjCB0K
In the post pages after I refresh the page I also see a mobile menu and search, but still inside the content, not the header, the header is this one -> https://prnt.sc/zhqYSFNarOYn
I believe you added the mobile menu and search inside the content not the header. This can be seen while clicking on the elements in the composer, for example if you click on something you can see the zone it’s in, like this -> https://prnt.sc/BbpWRHinTxxu or like this -> https://prnt.sc/0yslOal_Ohva
And I think you are also using mobile templates perhaps, which complicates things a bit.
I can help fix these things, the fastest way would be send an email at contact@tagdiv.com and provide admin access (user and pass) for the website, so I can check how the header is built and make adjustments where needed.
Thank you!
Hi,
Thank you for your previous guidance.
I’m following up because I already completed the recommended update process, but the issue still persists.
What has already been done:
WordPress was updated.
The Newspaper theme was updated from the old version 7 to the current version 12.
WPBakery / Visual Composer was updated.
The bundled Newspaper/tagDiv plugins were reviewed and updated.
The site files and database were backed up before making changes.
PHP/server compatibility was also reviewed.
After completing those updates, the main issue remains:
The frontend still displays the WPBakery / Visual Composer shortcodes as plain text instead of rendering the page content properly.
For example, the page still shows code like:
[vc_row][vc_column]…[/vc_column][/vc_row]
Also, when activating tagDiv Composer, the website shows an error, so the builder functionality is still not working correctly.
At this point, since the recommended update process has already been completed, could you please help us investigate the remaining issue directly?
It seems that one of these problems may still be happening:
WPBakery shortcodes are not being parsed correctly.
tagDiv Composer is failing during activation.
A required Newspaper/tagDiv component is missing or corrupted.
The old page content from Newspaper 7 / WPBakery is not being processed correctly after the migration.
The page content may need to be repaired, but we need confirmation before rebuilding anything.
For security reasons, I will not post credentials publicly here. I can send fresh temporary WordPress admin and cPanel access privately through email or the proper support channel.
Could you please confirm where I should send the access details so you can review the activation error and shortcode rendering issue?
Thank you.
Best regards,
Adalberto Larios
Hi Team,
I hope you’re doing well.
I had a few questions regarding the implementation of some features on **product-wiki.com**, and I’d appreciate your guidance.
1. In the top bar of the website, I have **”My Account”** and **”Subscribe”** options. I also have a **”Write & Publish”** button in the main header. I tried configuring these, but they aren’t functioning as expected. Could you please guide me on the correct way to set them up?
2. I have also added a **Subscribe** section above the footer for the newsletter. Is there a recommended plugin or service that we should integrate (such as Mailchimp, FluentCRM, or another option) to make the newsletter subscription functional?
3. For the **Write & Publish** feature, I’d like users to be able to submit and publish blog posts on the website. Would you recommend using **BuddyPress**, or is there a better plugin or workflow for enabling front-end content submission and user publishing?
Please let me know your recommendations so I can proceed with the implementation accordingly.
Thank you!
Best,
Kunal
I’m using the latest version of Newspaper with Cloud Templates.
I created a custom Cloud Header called **”Header Template – Habersham News.”**
I can edit the desktop version of the header without any issues.
However, when I switch to the **mobile version** inside the Header Template and make changes (for example adding a hamburger menu), the editor says the changes were saved, but when I close the template and reopen it, all of the mobile changes are gone. The desktop changes persist normally.
Because of this, I ended up editing the mobile header directly inside my **Single Post Cloud Template**, where the changes do save correctly. That solved the problem for single posts, but Pages (such as my Obituaries page) still use the global Header Template, so they don’t receive the custom mobile header.
My questions are:
1. Is this expected behavior?
2. Should the mobile version of a Cloud Header Template save independently of the desktop version?
3. Is there a known issue where mobile edits to a Cloud Header Template are not persisted?
4. What is the recommended way to have the same custom mobile header (logo, hamburger menu, search, ad, etc.) appear consistently on both Posts and Pages?
Thanks!
“Hello, I am here to report the same issue. Since updating to WordPress 7.0, the Gutenberg editor is severely bugged, very slow, and the layout/styles are completely broken.
I have done some troubleshooting on my end:
I tested other WP 7.0 sites without the Newspaper theme, and the editor works perfectly.
I disabled all third-party plugins, and the issue persists. It is definitively tied to the theme and the tagDiv Composer.
Checking the browser console, there are conflicts with the new WP 7.0 iframe structure. The console throws errors such as: td-guten-blocks-editor-css-css was added to the iframe incorrectly and fails to load load-scripts.php.
Is there an ETA for a full compatibility patch for WordPress 7.0?”

Hello,
Since updating to WordPress 7.0 today, I have detected a visual/functional issue in the builder’s CSS panel, specifically in the Margin / Padding fields of the Single Image module.
I’m leaving you a Loom video where the behavior can be seen clearly:
https://www.loom.com/share/26601c055dd3494d9745ede4635d838b
The problem is the following: before the update, within the visual margin/padding scheme, the fields allowed values of at least two characters or values with a unit to be displayed correctly. For example, if a padding value was 10%, the field allowed me to see 10 or 10%, or at least scroll inside the input in a useful way to check the full value.
Now the behavior has changed. The fields are displayed too narrow and only show one character of the value. For example, visually it may look like the padding is 1 / 1 / 1, but in reality the values are of the type 10% / 10 / 10%. When I move inside the field, instead of being able to see the full value or at least two characters, only one character is shown at a time; in this example, in order to see the %, I have to move within the field and instead of being able to see 0%, as part of 10%, only that is shown: the %.
This makes the CSS panel difficult to use, because I cannot visually check whether the real value is 1, 10, 10%, etc. The problem does not seem to be that the value has been lost, but rather that the panel input is displaying it cut off or with insufficient width. I have been using TagDiv for more than 7 years and I know what I am talking about when it comes to composition and the details of the composer.
I have tested it both in the desktop composer and in the mobile composer. I have also tested it in incognito mode, in case it could be due to browser cache. In addition, the page cache was cleared after the update.
For this reason, I understand that it could be a visual incompatibility of the builder after updating to WordPress 7.0, an internal CSS issue in the panel, a change in the width of the inputs, a rendering issue in the editor, or some incompatibility with the current version of WordPress/browser.
It is not necessarily that the page design has changed, but rather that the editor no longer displays the full values correctly inside the margin/padding fields.
The issue directly affects editing, because it makes it very difficult to review or modify margins and paddings without the risk of changing incorrect values.
Thank you. Please, I would really appreciate your help with this.
Hi,
I’ll need more details.
Right now the Sci-Tech block is inside a big row -> https://prnt.sc/usVhDzLzYRcT That row is split into two columns. It can be spit in three columns, but this will affect all the content from the row.
If you could let me know what exactly you want to do, I can help more. Some screenshots or a mockup with how you want the page to look would be helpful, or some other kinds of examples.
Let me know.
Thank you!
Hi Simion,
thanks for getting back! And: lovely, the .woff font now includes the icon and the CSS selector adds the content as expected. To anyone reading: I guess the forum software fucked up the quoting in the CSS above, so make sure to enclose the \e93b with single quotes.
Works like a charm and as expected now. Will this be incorporated into future official releases?
Cheers & Thanks
Thomas
Yeah so I can’t get this to work quite right – hoping you can help.
I’ve set up a modal for the popup menu:
image: https://imgur.com/a/ecw3si3
The bottom image (with the rounded border radius) is what I want it to look like – and what it does look like when eidting in Tagdiv.
The top image is what it actually looks like on the page.
the middle image is what the modal button looks like (which is perfect).
So, two questions here:
1. how do I fix what the modal currently looks like on the page (currently on my homepage at adkseorev.com in the footer).
2. How do I get the modal button to be sticky at the top after a user scrolls 1000 pixels, for example? I can figure out how to get it to appear at 1000 pixels, but it doesn’t stay sticky/no sticky option.

Hi,
That means the menu items also have submenus, they are visible on desktop as well -> https://prnt.sc/rPsZWwQ7dk9u It’s a common mistake when using megamenus.
The important thing to keep in mind, is that the menu item for which you activate the megamenu should not have submenus.
So for example these menu items can have megamenus -> https://prnt.sc/n4Q5mf4IsNv6
This one should not have a megamenu because it has submenus -> https://prnt.sc/zMN2nBqkcz5P
A megamenu already displays the subcategories of the category you select when you enable it, so it’s not necessary to also add the subcategories as submenus, because if you do they will be displayed twice -> https://prnt.sc/vYe9ruzmjcgs
I suggest removing the submenus from below the menu items that are megamenus -> https://prnt.sc/SBKPYKLg0gFO Then the issue should be solved.
Let me know if you have any questions or if there are other issues.
Thank you!
Hi,
You could just use a popup, instead of a menu that was designed to be used on mobile devices.
For example we use popups on many of our more recent demos, the popups can contain anything and they can open from any side of the page.
Like in this demo -> https://demo.tagdiv.com/newspaper_liberty_case_pro/ That hamburger menu from the header is a popup. The popup is set to open a page from the website, which can be built with the composer and can contain basically anything.
There are many other popup examples if you want me to provide them. My suggestion is to consider using a popup, it’s not difficult to set up -> https://forum.tagdiv.com/modal-popup/ and in my opinion it’s easier than limiting the mobile menu width and making sure it looks good across all devices.
Let me know if I can help with it.
Thank you!
I am posting articles with Facebook or Instagram links, it usually appears by pasting the post link. But I tried several times, preview is not showing up.
Hi,
That’s possible.
The “tdcpt_app_listing” is the name of the post type the demo uses. If you edit it in the ACF plugin -> https://prnt.sc/ryndg5HxDPtr there is an option to set a custom permalink, for example -> https://prnt.sc/3DODXkqxVQS2
Then there are three taxonomies for the post type, “tdtax_app_category”, “tdtax_app_location”, “tdtax_app_tag”.
To change these as well, edit each in the ACF plugin -> https://prnt.sc/R3xYanWHtdKz and set a custom permalink -> https://prnt.sc/YgzZc1d_yp4J Do the same for the other two.
After customizing them all, in case there are 404 errors when you visit a listing or a taxonomy page, press the save permalinks button and check again -> https://prnt.sc/8DjdK9BVBwOI and they should work fine.
Please try it.
The alternative to doing this, is to create your own post type and taxonomies, with the names you want. This is a bit more complicated as it will require a few more adjustments to rest of the demo, but it is an option.
Thank you!
Hello, I am trying to get author credit, time since posting and views lined up in a row but there seems to be padding under the views that makes it impossible to get everything in a tidy line. Can you advise?

Site is https://technewstt.com. Day two of migrating from another theme.
Hi,
By default the same content is displayed on both desktop and mobile, so you don’t have to do anything special.
But if you perhaps activated the mobile theme plugin -> https://forum.tagdiv.com/mobile-theme-introduction/ then you will indeed have to create two versions for each page -> https://prnt.sc/YZ6MN2bjE3Sg
The mobile theme plugin is optional, so you could just deactivate it -> https://prnt.sc/8nkE3gmeWA3T
Or is the problem different perhaps? In case the problem is different, I’ll take a look at it. You can send us an email at contact@tagdiv.com and provide a link to the website and admin login (user and pass) and an example of the issue.
Thank you!
Sorry to hear that.
But after some practice it won’t be difficult anymore.
I explained about the mobile theme plugin in the other topic. It’s an optional plugin that you can deactivate.
The theme is built around the composer builder, so mostly everything that you want to customize is done with the composer. So for example if you want to customize the category template, you can use the composer -> https://prnt.sc/ZHgimchHOI0C Same for the post template, tag template, etc.
I can help, let me know what you want to do and I will provide instructions. It won’t take much time to learn how to use the theme.
Let me know.
Thank you!
Yesterday
I installed Some plugins for Website in wrongly way
Today, I reinstall WordPress
But It showed “An issue has been encountered while trying to validate your license key ”
Can you check it once again?
Thanks & Regards
Hello,
We are currently working on the website:
https://www.sostenible.com.mx/
We are having an issue with the page editor / builder. The pages are no longer editable through the builder, and on the frontend the content is being displayed as raw Visual Composer / WPBakery shortcodes instead of being rendered properly.
For example, the homepage is showing content like:
[vc_row][vc_column][td_block_ad_box spot_id="custom_ad_2"]…
[td_block_2 custom_title="ACTIVIDADES PRIMARIAS"]…
[/vc_column][/vc_row]
The site was originally running an older version of the Newspaper theme, version 7. Everything was working correctly before, but the issue suddenly started. We then migrated/updated the theme to version 12, expecting the problem to be resolved, but the issue still persists.
Based on what we are seeing, it looks like the problem may be related to Visual Composer / WPBakery Page Builder, because the builder is not loading correctly and it appears to be asking for a license or activation. Since the content depends heavily on Visual Composer / WPBakery shortcodes, the site is currently unable to render the pages correctly.
Could you please help us review the following?
Confirm if the bundled Visual Composer / WPBakery plugin included with the Newspaper theme is active and compatible with version 12.
Check if the plugin requires a separate license or if it should be activated through the theme package.
Verify why the shortcodes are being printed as plain text instead of being parsed/rendered.
Confirm if there is a missing plugin, corrupted builder installation, or compatibility issue after the migration from Newspaper v7 to v12.
Let us know the recommended steps to restore the page builder functionality without losing the existing page content.
The main issue is that the website content is still stored using Visual Composer / WPBakery shortcodes, but the builder is no longer processing them correctly.
Thank you.
Best regards,
Adalberto Larios
Hi,
I’m using the Newspaper theme and I’d like to add a “Read also” box inside Single Post Content, for example after the 4th paragraph of every article.
The box should display a link to the most popular article from the last 24 hours (using the Newspaper Popular Posts data), excluding the currently viewed article.
My questions are:
1. Is it possible to insert such a dynamic block inside Single Post Content, e.g. after a specific paragraph?
2. Can this be done using the built-in “Ads after paragraph” positions with custom code?
3. Is there a Newspaper function, shortcode, hook or API that allows retrieving the most popular post from the last 24 hours?
I’d prefer a solution without additional plugins and without modifying core theme files.
Thank you!
Hi,
We should start with the premise that the theme and it’s plugins have to load files, and each file has a purpose.
Those files are related to the Live CSS option in the admin bar -> https://prnt.sc/Hbv7gmqDGdZJ Only an admin can use the Live CSS option, so the files are only loaded while logged in as an admin. They are not loaded publicly, or for any other user roles.
I don’t recall seeing such an issue before, which means it’s either very specific, or it’s happening only on this website. On my test install for example I have no such errors -> https://prnt.sc/C8yG87yzGOS7
Let’s discuss it more.
If I check your website as a visitor, the mobile menu works fine -> https://prnt.sc/zMcWqAoxw9Gg and the search works fine -> https://prnt.sc/Lwq-DKrIYScY Are these only not working for you when you are logged in as an admin?
Or maybe you solved the problem already.
Thank you!
Hello,
I started to use the Ajax filter for my tags. It works well on computer but doesn’t work at all on mobile. It just doesn’t filter on mobile when I press. Anyone had this issue and found a solution please ? I checked all the forum and nothing about it.
Page example here : https://bagratrip.com/tag/cuisine-caucase/
Thanks
