Hello,
For the image loading issue, please follow this guide to improve page loading speeds: https://forum.tagdiv.com/how-to-make-the-site-faster/
As for your second request, more blocks can be populated by adding a bigger number here: http://screencast.com/t/gfGRBM79RpI
Thank you!
I have used block 21 on two different sidebars. Where the sidebar is set to show on the left side of the page, author names are hidden but when it’s set to show on the right side of the page author names show up. I changed the block (from Block 21 to another one) but the author names still appear.
Pl let me know how to hide author names on any given block. Thanks.
Hi Team
I was followed this post https://forum.tagdiv.com/topic/blogpost-sidebar-question/
but my sidebar not “really” removed. It is just “invisible”. So if i put new block, there is a empty space
How to fix it ?
Thank you
OG tags have nothing to do with images appearing in your posts/layouts.
a) try disabling lazy load image effects
b) be sure to ‘regenerate’ thumbs for your layout (make backups first!)
c) be sure to check the settings in theme panel to actually ‘enable’ the image sizes for modules/blocks you intend to use
d) be sure to clear all caching in site if used and in web browser
e) make sure you actually have ‘featured’ images assigned to each post
f) make sure you have ‘use featured image’ enabled in the post settings
And one more thing I just saw, The post page is looking great with those blocks, but in the bottom of the page, there is an empty space, look http://screencast.com/t/P0dP7OOUZ5Bc …
Yes, I know that I can customize the sidebar, but in this case I want what I have in that side bar because it’s looks good and I need it for the movil version…
So I think that maybe a solution could be to add more blocks… If you see the page it actually showing this http://screencast.com/t/O5CN8d2V
Hello Tagdiv!
I’m trying to get my articles published on Apple News using the Publish to Apple News plugin. I have signed up to the program but keep getting the following error on submission.
Articles contain exposed unicode, HTML, or XML.
I have attempted to solve this one myself but I’ve had no luck and since you know your theme better than me I figured it is worth asking you guys. Website in question: news.snowwatch.org.uk
Thanks in advance.
p.s. If anything else wants to chip in, please feel free.
Where can i check if i have a Syntax error?

HI
There is no configuration panel for Speed Booster plugin. You will need to edit plugin’s file and add there the code to move the render blocking resources to footer as we indicated in our documentation.
Note that you will need some coding skills to complete this task. For more details about Speed Booster and how to use it please check these links: https://forum.tagdiv.com/topic/speed-%E2%80%8B%E2%80%8Bbooster-akismet-php-problem/ – https://forum.tagdiv.com/topic/page-speed-95100-but/
Thanks!
Andrei L tagDiv!
so I’ve added this:
$adcounter++;
if (is_category() && ($adcounter == 3)) {
echo do_shortcode('[td_block_ad_box spot_id="content_top"}');
}
but i don’t see a change.
Try this code:
.block-title span{
padding: 7px 12px 4px 0px!important;
}
Thanks.
I have one more question regarding the same topic:
– here http://newsletter.freesmi.by/ the title of the block in the sidebar is perfectly sticked to the left
– here https://kratko.io/ that title is in the left, but with some spare space that is not needed. Is it possible to remove that space (I marked it with blue) http://i.imgur.com/0GtK5cK.png and move the title to the left?
Hello Selva,
You can provide your website so I can inspect it closer but please notice that if you are installed the Mobile Theme plugin, the blocks will not be displayed on mobile mode.
Thanks for the message!
Ok.
I think I get it now. Here is the code you need:
.block-title span{
background-color:white!important;
}
result: http://screencast.com/t/xr5ogpH2gJ
Thanks.
Hi,
Ok, I finally understand now. I can tell you I did not even use the post page ever, so that’s my bad on this part 🙂 The post page is affected by the same setting in our theme panel as the blog page…meaning here: http://screencast.com/t/wL8v40jB
There are blocks in our theme that do not show excerpts so they will not show your ad code.
Our theme provides ad spots for your future posts that do not require you to place the ad directly in the post content so the excerpt will not pick up the ad code like it does on your site now. Here is a link to our content ads: https://forum.tagdiv.com/article-ads/
I hope this helps and sorry for not understanding you better and quicker.
Well did you read the topic I posted above?
The user found a solution:
The solution is simple, you must edit td_block.php and remove the itemprop attributes and add open graph to your article page. You can do that manually by addning the meta to your header or just install a plugin that does that for you.
Our theme seems to be missing some of the metadada or schema information required by the rich pins, but we did not create our theme with rich pins in mind. We did not specify anywhere that rich pins work with our theme. We did not test these. You will have to add some manual implementation or plugin meta data as @vexx mentions here: https://forum.tagdiv.com/topic/pinterest-sharing-issue/
I do not know of any solution for this. you will have to read the docs for the rich pins and see what they actually require and either add the meta yourself or use a plugin that does that for you.
Thank you for your understanding
Hi
You can use one of theme’s blocks and add an extra class on it then use hide it on desktop using css: http://screencast.com/t/BD6Bptsy
@media(min-width: 768px){
.mobile-block{
display: none;
}
}
Thanks!
Hello,
Please use this guide to fix the images: https://forum.tagdiv.com/thumbnails-fix-strange-looking-images-on-blocks/
Thank you!
Hello,
That is actually your block title color. The background is set to black and the text color is set to black. You can set the text color to white f you want or the bakcgorund color to white and text black .Simply change these 2 colors: http://screencast.com/t/lEQsek19VZ
Or as an alternative, use css:
.block-title span{
color:white!important;
}
http://screencast.com/t/SmwV3mJcp
Thank you!
Hi,
I’m not sure what you mean. A block will show the posts you filter in block settings. Please use this guide to change the posts a block shows: https://forum.tagdiv.com/block-settings-guide/
If this is not what you mean, please provide more details so I can better understand how to help.
Thank you!
Hello,
The comment count can be removed separately for posts and for modules and blocks.
For posts you remove it from here: http://screencast.com/t/5TVtZnZeWr0
For modules and blocks you remove it from here: http://screencast.com/t/D5dGa8oqd
Thank you!
Hi team,
I have a couple of queries on the Newspaper 7 video theme. I couldn’t find a solution after tries. So i’m posting here…
1) Why my website in mobile theme is showing only the featured post and Latest post and not showing the footer items like Editors pick, popular post, categories, etc (I see them showing in the Newspaper 7 mobile demo theme)

Is there anyway to do that?
2) I have created a Link in the MENU as “POPULAR” pointing to a page http://www.mysite.com/popular where i have added a block showing ‘All time popular’ posts. But nothing appears in the mobile version. Please help to configure this for mobile theme.
3) I’ve used Block14 with “Row Stretch” selected. But it seems like it’s not working. Any other settings need to be changed?

Thank you in advance.
You can look at the docs here for Newspaper to see the new modules/blocks; you might have to redo some stuff, so good to do screen cap of old page first. I kind of went through that when going from Newspaper to Newsmag; but then going from VC to the beta TagDiv Composer. Suddenly the plain text box had to be the raw HTML box, and so forth. But luckily not too painful 🙂
I want to change the website to 1360px. I have changed .td-container to 1360 px, but the submenu, blocks, grid blocks and internal items in grid block and other looks broken. Which CSS/classes i need to change/override to correct all the problems?
Thanks
Yes, if you buy Newspaper you get a current version of VC. There are obviously differences between the two as far as supported blocks and whatnot.
(( I don’t work here. ))
