Hi,
Starting this year, we have the same problem to edit individual pages using TagDiv Composer. The panel on the left loads, but the page to edit doesn’t anymore. There’s a loading screen and then an error appears, as in the attached screenshot. I have tried all the advice from the forum, unfortunately to no avail. If I keep refreshing the edit page, on average 2-3x a day the edit page loads and works. But usually (99% of times) it doesn’t and it’s like the attached screenshot.
All settings and requirements of Newspapper are met, there are no errors, nothing is missing, limits are increased, plugins are up to date. I tried desactivating all plugins and leaving only tagDiv ones, I also reinstalled tagDiv Cloud and Composer, I cleared cache many times. It does not help.
Please advise, because currently it is impossible to run the site without the ability to edit the pages and our business is at risk because of that.
Here’s the htaccess:
# BEGIN WordPress
# The directives (lines) between “BEGIN WordPress” and “END WordPress” are
# dynamically generated, and should only be modified via WordPress filters.
# Any changes to the directives between these markers will be overwritten.

RewriteRule ^index\.php$ – [L]
RewriteCond %{REQUEST_FILENAME} !-f
RewriteCond %{REQUEST_FILENAME} !-d
RewriteRule . /index.php [L]
</IfModule>
# END WordPress
<IfModule mod_substitute.c>

</IfModule>
<IfModule mod_headers.c>

Please advise.

Hello @contatovaldemiraraujo!
If you use a cloud template, then you can edit it with the TagDiv Composer.
Clear the cache and check the results!
Test by deactivating ALL plugins except tagDiv; additionally, if you are using a cache plugin, deactivate it, clear all cache, and try again.
Check out the guide: https://forum.tagdiv.com/unique-articles/.
Thank you!
Hello @tassos!
This issue is due to the caching tools you’re using! Make a test and deactivate ALL plugins except tagDiv ones, also if you are using a cache plugin, deactivate it, clear all cache and try again.
Thank you!
Hello @opes!
This is a cache issue.
Delete the cache plugin that you use and check the results.
Thank you!
Hello @mexa!

Hi,
Have you tried to see that this issue is not caused by a plugin conflict?

Hello @mikthegreek!
That sidebar was created with the TagDiv Composer. You can build a sidebar with the TagDiv Composer. Steps:
1. Insert one new row (or delete an existing one).
2. Divide into two columns (2/3 + 1/3).
3. You can add whatever element you want into the second column and consider it a sidebar.
As you described the issue, it might be a caching issue.
I’ve installed the demo, and for me it is working well.
Make a test and deactivate ALL plugins except tagDiv ones, also if you are using a cache plugin, deactivate it, clear all cache and try again.
Let me know the results!
Thank you!
I appreciate the reply and notes. We rolled TLS back to 1.2 and it seems to have solved the problem.
One other issue we discovered. All our posts pre-2020 are showing “Critical Error”. Not sure what caused this, maybe a past update conflict. I can go to one of the post’s in question, edit, save, and clear cache then the post will appear. I know I can edit them all one-by-one, but do you know of a bulk or quick way to solve the issue?
Thanks.
Hi Anamaria:
I have saved additional text successfully in the header block, no errors of any kind. I have read the topic link you sent and we do not use cloud flare at all. I have also clear browser and site cache. Still nothing. Please advise next steps.
Alejandro
I’m having the same issue, except I haven’t uploaded custom fonts, I’m relying on the system fonts only.
– Google fonts turned off in the theme panel.
– Everything set to Roboto (in theme panel + composer)
– All cache cleared (browser, caching plugin, and Cloudflare)
– The fonts load fine in Firefox and Chrome but not in the Brave browser.
– I have tried incognito mode and turning off the caching plugin (Litespeed).
– Everything works fine when I turn google fonts back on in the theme panel.
I would love some input, thanks.
Hi,
The Autoptimize has a cache, as you can see here -> https://www.greengeeks.com/tutorials/clear-autoptimize-cache-wordpress/ and that is why that problem appears.
Thank you!
The hosting company I use, said that this WP Super Cache plugin is too heavy for the server – which sounds so strange.
They use Autoptimizze with a Nginx helper. What are your thoughts on these, please?
Hello @coinedition!
It could be a plugin conflict. Deactivate ALL plugins except tagDiv ones, also if you are using a cache plugin, deactivate it, clear all cache and try again.
Thank you!
Hi,
Please open the console and try to save something.
I think you will have a 403 or 404 error, so please check this topic -> https://forum.tagdiv.com/topic/wp-editor-for-text-with-title-and-column-text-not-updating-content/ and try the suggestions. Also, please check the cache, clear/purge all cache.
Thank you!
No change, i dont use any cache plugin yet
Hello @central!

Hello @amrendrabagri!
I’ve tested your website on all browsers, and I couldn’t find the error.
Are you sure that you’ve deleted your cache from your browsers, too?
Thank you!

Hello,
If you have the option to delete the cache, then you have a plugin for cache installed, maybe is from serve host.
The solution would be to use the recommended WP Super Cache plugin instead and activate these settings (especially the mobile device support): https://forum.tagdiv.com/cache-plugin-install-and-configure/
Also, , please check if your cache plugin has an option for mobile version https://i.imgur.com/YkuXcG8.png – https://i.imgur.com/7WTiZN7.png
Thank you!
Hello,
The issue is that you have an object cache on the backend; please check this guide and delete the object-cache file from wp-content -> https://forum.tagdiv.com/general-options-may-interfere-newspaper-theme/
Thank you!
Hi, unfortunately it did not work. I purged the cache 10 times, it did not work. However, I noticed something. On PC it shows 2020, on mobile browser it shows 2022. Not sure where is the problem
Guys, it did work, but I need to keep manually clicking CACHE so that the page keep its mobile version. And it disconfigures every 2-3 minutes.
Please advise on what Cache plugin actually works with Newspaper, as this has been an issue with mobile for the past 12 months using Newspaper.
