Hello Liz Painter,
For the beginning, you should remove all of your untested plugins, leave just to active only the required plugins which come bundled with the theme core files and check the results. Regarding on CDN, you can read here -> https://wpexplorer-themes.com/total/docs/clear-site-cache/ about this case.
Thanks for your understanding!
I didn’t have an issue until I updated to the latest Newspaper. I have to have these plugins as well.
It’s a little over my head but how on WordPress do I fix those errors and purge CDN files. Will that affect anything?
Hi,
Actually I have not seen these warnings before, why would they assume this is a known issue of the theme is beyond me. Those warnings could be caused if you used letters or other characters in the theme excerpt fields
– https://www.screencast.com/t/3RUeGG68LQ
Please check all the modules and see if that is the case. If you used the tagDiv composer which also provides the excerpt fields for modules, check them as well in your pages
– https://www.screencast.com/t/BlZLoLB9D9r
In terms of loading speed, there are many topics and guides that you read and optimize your website. Some of them here
– https://forum.tagdiv.com/cache-plugin-install-and-configure/
– https://forum.tagdiv.com/how-to-make-the-site-faster/
– https://forum.tagdiv.com/topic/score-100100-pagespeed-with-newspaper-wordpress-theme/
– https://forum.tagdiv.com/topic/newspaper-theme-speedify-your-website/
– https://forum.tagdiv.com/topic/tutorial-chriss-custom-optimizations-for-functions-php-etc/
We also recommend this Cloudflare configuration
– https://forum.tagdiv.com/cloudflare-cdn/
Of course the speed is also affected by plugins, server, and other aspects. You will have to analyze them and optimize the website for a better result.
Thanks
Hi,
Some of those suggestions almost always solve the problem. Deactivating all plugins (except theme plugins) remove theme modifications and code entered in the theme panel temporarily, deactivate the child theme. Clearing caching and CDN if used.
If you tried those suggestion to no effect, we could take a look. Send us an email at contact@tagdiv.com and provide admin login access. Include a link to this topic in the email.
Note that currently the website is not working properly, it fails to load for a few minutes, then there are a lot of errors
– https://www.screencast.com/t/F6Ipt3j3
Contact your hosting provider or server administrator to check what is happening.
Thanks
Hello Liz Painter,
I have inspected your console and I saw that you are some errors through it -> https://www.screencast.com/t/USpe4cruZfZ and also, I saw that you are using some untested plugins which can cause this -> https://www.screencast.com/t/cfQl3vslz Please try to disable all of this, clear all the caches, purge CDN files and check the results.
Hope this helps and let us know how it goes!
Thanks for your understanding!
Hi,
The search icon is not supposed to be below the menu. If you recently updated from an older version, please clear all caching you have, as well as CDN if used (purge cache).
Also try to click on save settings in the theme panel and check if this solves the problem. Let us know.
Thanks
i have already done this !
I have disable the total plugins and also the Cloud flare or similar services are Inactive… because we are still in development mode any CDN service are not activated
Also we have not made any changes to the CSS or any custom code
This problem is a little bit crazy and that’s why i have post this topic !

Hello Chris,
Maybe your images are stuck in opacity 0. This usually happens on a js error caused by plugins or customization or other external optimization tools. Please disable all plugins except visual composer or TD Composer, clear cache and reset CDN files if you use it. Please also check any custom code you might have added to the theme panel or the theme files. If you use a child theme, please switch to the main theme to make sure it does not affect the proper functioning of the theme.
Hope this helps and let us know how it goes!
Thanks for the message!
Hi,
Seems secure now from what I can see – https://www.screencast.com/t/elcDnJ94Ljp
Similar issues were caused by images called in various theme panel sections, like the background section

Thanks
Hi,
1. In some cases 500 errors were produced by insufficient resources, mainly WP memory. Increasing the limit fixed the errors.
2. Your ID works for me, with the same plugin used
– https://www.screencast.com/t/1x2qe9o5
Try clearing the cache plugin you have installed and also purge CDN cache if used.
3. That is the latest articles page template
– https://www.screencast.com/t/wXoH35F5uI5
The section of posts it displays at the bottom of the page has only numbered pagination. You could select a different page template for the page, then add at the bottom a block of your choosing. Blocks have infinite loading pagination
– https://forum.tagdiv.com/block-settings-guide/
4. The mobile theme may not work as intended or at all with the caching plugin you use. Caching plugins are the number one cause for mobile theme problems. We recommend the super cache which works properly with the mobile plugin. The mobile plugin is optional however.
6. The footer template you use has it’s own predefined widgets
– https://forum.tagdiv.com/footer-templates/
So your widgets will be displayed below them. Use empty footer templates to display only your desired widgets.
Thanks
Hello goldfish45,
It seems to be a problem with your caches. Try to clear all of them, purge CDN files if you are using a CDN system, clear all server and browser caches and check the results. If the problem still persists, please try reading the following topic from here -> https://forum.tagdiv.com/topic/strange-symbol/ and try to fix it.
Thanks.
Hi,
For such an old version you most likely used Visual composer. Please deactivate the tagDiv composer after you update, this will be activated automatically when the theme is updated or installed (since it’s introduction in 8.0).
When both are active there could be layout problems.
Also it is important to check the available resources in the system status panel
– https://forum.tagdiv.com/requirements-for-newspaper/
Update by FTP, this is the most reliable method
– https://forum.tagdiv.com/how-to-update-the-theme-2/
If you have code in the theme panel, or you use a child theme, deactivate them because the code could be outdated. After the update do not make any modifications to the theme files. Clear caching, clear CDN if used, clear your browser cache as well.
You can use the manual activation if asked again

Thanks
Hello Steve To,
It seems to be a problem with cache. Try to clear all of these, purge CDN files if you are using the CDN system and check the results. Try to press CTRL+SHIFT+R.
Thanks for your understanding!
Hello CzteryKilo,
Try to use another facebook ID, like Envato and check the results. If the problem is still there, try to make a new clean install to another sub-domain for testing, remove all of the untested plugins, clear all the caches, server caches, purge CDN files and check the results.
Thanks for the message!
Hello,
This could be a plugin conflict so please disable all plugins except the page builder, clear cache and reset cdn files if you use it. Please also check any custom code you might have added to the theme panel or the theme files. If you use a child theme, please switch to the main theme to make sure it does not affect the proper functionality of the theme.
Thank you!

Hi,
That problem is usually caused by the Cloudflare rocket loader feature, we recommend that the rocket loader should not be used
– https://forum.tagdiv.com/cloudflare-cdn/
Try disabling it and check if the problem is solved.
Thanks

Hello,
After a theme update it is always good practice to clear all caching from the cache plugin, cdn server, hosting side cache and browser cache for each browser you use.
Thank you!

Hello,
Maybe you have a cdn server that is not properly set or your host provides a hosting side cache you are not aware of. You should contact your host and ask about it.
Also please mind the offsets you use on your blocks as if you have an offset you will not be able to see new posts in each block: https://forum.tagdiv.com/block-settings-guide/
Thanks.
Hi,
So the problem was with thumbnails not displaying properly on Safari. The thumbnails created by the theme are of specific fixed sizes for each module
– https://forum.tagdiv.com/theme-thumbs/
It would be somewhat impossible that the images would display in different sizes across browsers. Unless maybe you use a CDN for the images, plugins for image optimization or plugins that could affect images, optimization coding etc. If the thumbnails would have a problem it would be displayed on all browsers.
Most thumbnail issues (like not being of the same size) are fixed by regenerating them
– https://forum.tagdiv.com/thumbnails-fix-strange-looking-images-on-blocks/
Let us know if there still is a problem, provide a link to it and we will take a look.
Thanks
Hello,
@fran84 you did not purge your cdn files after the update. I can tell you have a cdn server as it is not configured properly and the mobile background slides across the screen when first loading your site. That is the rocket loader option which should definitely not be used. Your site works fine now apart from (rocket loader)
Please use this guide to properly set the cdn: https://forum.tagdiv.com/cloudflare-cdn/
Other issues are solved by updating the theme plugins.
Thank you!
