Hello indraadam,

I have inspected your source page and I saw that you are using a lot of untested plugins which can interact with the theme core files and causes a lot of unknown problems. Please remove all of these, clear all the caches, purge CDN files and check the results.

Thanks for your understanding!

Hello fanauto,

Try to make a new install to another sub-domain for testing via FTP way, clear all the caches, purge CDN files and check the results. Also, check your server permissions to be allowed for theme and plugin installing in order to achieve good results.

Thanks for your understanding!

Hi,

Please update to the latest theme version, the fix for the Instagram issues is part of the update. See the changelog in the themeforest page
https://www.screencast.com/t/8zL2rNVd4

This is a theme update guide you can follow
https://forum.tagdiv.com/how-to-update-the-theme-2/

Then all the Instagram related functions should work as before
https://www.screencast.com/t/ufZ7hsAZZ
After the update be sure to clear the cache if you have any, or CDN if you use it. Clear the browser cache as well or test with different browsers.

Thanks

Hello,

The latest posts you exemplify in your screenshot comes from the page template. Please read this guide: https://forum.tagdiv.com/page-templates-2/
As for the colors section, this could be a plugin conflict so please disable all plugins except the tagdiv composer page builder, clear cache and reset cdn files if you use it. Please also check any custom code you might have added to the theme panel or the theme files. If you use a child theme, please switch to the main theme to make sure it does not affect the proper functionality of the theme.

Thank you!

Hi,

For me your website loads quite quickly, homepage in about 2 seconds and posts in just under 3 seconds.
From what I can see there are some timeouts on some resources that are trying to load
https://www.screencast.com/t/JYmeNiIOzI
Those seem to be related to a plugin
https://www.screencast.com/t/HerqPcvvHbS
Also there a a few mixed content warnings related to some images. All of these could potentially slow down the website. Try to fix them and check again.

Also consider using caching if you do not already, we recommend the WP super cache if possible. There are also many speed optimization guides here in the forum

As for disqus, sorry but we have not tested implementing third party plugin options into our amp plugin. Here is where the comments are being grabbed onto the amp template: https://www.screencast.com/t/NqJSblflHCH

Hi,

The problems with the layout you were experiencing could be related to having both the composers active at the same time. When the tagDiv composer and also WPBakery page builder are active, there could be layout problems.
The tagDiv composer will be activated automatically as soon as the theme is installed or updated.
So if you used Visual composer elements to create pages, deactivate the tagDiv composer. There will not be problems with default theme elements such as blocks and grids but specific WPBakery items can be affected by the tagDiv composer.

1. That code should still apply. Once entered in the theme panel custom code section, the code will not be affected by updating the theme so it should apply at all times. I could take a look at this, if you will decide to update the theme again.

2. The socials were redesigned in version 8.6 I believe, they will not be the same as before. more about this here
https://tagdiv.com/social-network-buttons/
In almost all cases when the socials were not displayed after updating the theme, it was either cache or CDN issues, or even the browser cache. We can take a look at this as well.

3. The latest theme version contains the fixes for the Instagram widget and also the social counter. So there would be no issue. From the user feedback we have Instagram works properly after updating to the latest version.

If you should decide to update again, first deactivate the tagDiv composer. Then clear all caching, purge CDN if used and also browser cache. Let us know, so we can take a look at the problems that remain if there are any.

Thanks

As per my understanding, the icons are created using icon-font hence CDN service not treating it as images. My MAXCDN service unable to cache it and as a result icons such as ‘search button’, ‘back to top’ are throwing error text. Any chance to get an image copy? or any other solution?

If you disabled the mobile theme, the page should be visible unless you still have it cached in the cdn or a hosting side cache.
Please check if you have any other cache and if you still cannot see the page afterwards, please contact us via email at contact@tagdiv.com and provide wp-admin so we can have a look.

Thanks

Hi,

Yes that would be correct, enter it like this and it will work
https://www.screencast.com/t/xT5ve9zgXi12
Maybe clear your cache after updating the them, also CDN if used. Clear the browser cache as well or test with a different one.

Thanks

Hello,

You simply need to press the save button in order to save your page: https://www.screencast.com/t/3YFkWXpI2yS
Please check the page after you save to make sure your modifications get saved. You can check the browser console when saving to see if you get any errors.
Plugin conflicts can prevent proper saving so please test without plugins. Please disable all plugins except the page builder, clear cache and reset cdn files if you use it. Please also check any custom code you might have added to the theme panel or the theme files. If you use a child theme, please switch to the main theme to make sure it does not affect the proper functionality of the theme.

Thank you!

Hi,

1. We would need a link to your website so we can take a look at these issues. The mobile menu will be accessible as soon as the page is loaded. In some cases because of slow loading speed or maybe files that cause 404 errors (not found), the mobile menu will be delayed in it’s functionality.

Or there could be conflicts with other plugins which break the mobile functionality. We will try to identify what is the cause in this case.

2. The menu should be sticky at all times if enabled
https://www.screencast.com/t/BHd0JQZEfz

3. Maybe you have strong caching, however when changes in the website are made by you, the changes should be applied, that would be the ideal functionality. Check the cache settings if possible or CDN settings if used. The theme does not have a caching function so other factors are the cause here.

4. The contact page is a normal page, if you installed a demo it should be like there (different images however). We will take a look if you can link this page here.

5. The weather widget can be configured like this
https://forum.tagdiv.com/weather-widget/
It will work as soon as you configure it with an API key as mentioned, and valid location.

6. You will have to configure the social counter with your own data
https://forum.tagdiv.com/tagdiv-social-counter-tutorial-2/
Edit the social counter either by editing the page with the tagDiv composer, or in the Appearance->Widgets section. Each instance of the counter has to be configured.

Thanks

Hello moose85,

Make sure that you are using the latest version of the theme installed via FTP way, 8.7.3 because in this version the problem with Instagram was resolved, clear all of the untested plugins, purge CDN files and check the results. If the problem is still there, please send us an email at contact@tagdiv.com with your log-in information (wp-admin) and CPanel access so we can make some investigation.

Hi,

Maybe the thumbnails have not been generated properly, please try to regenerate them. This is a guide
https://forum.tagdiv.com/thumbnails-fix-strange-looking-images-on-blocks/
Then clear all caching and CDN if used. If there is still a problem, provide a link to your website so we can take a look.

Thanks

Hi,

If you reinstalled the theme to no positive effect, then something else is causing this problem. Deactivate all plugins except theme plugins, deactivate the child theme if you have one, clear all caching and CDN if used.
Check the theme system status and ask your hosting provider to increase these resources if needed
https://forum.tagdiv.com/requirements-for-newspaper/
Also maybe they can check the error logs produced by the server if possible and fix eventual errors.

If nothing works we could take a look as well, send us an email at contact@tagdiv.com and provide admin login, FTP, cPanel access and error log if possible. Include a link to this topic in the email.

Thanks

Hi,

There is no need for a new fix, the Instagram widget and social counter works properly now. The same solutions that were provided on the forum after the issue began were implemented in the theme. These fixed the issues for all users until now.
So it could only be a form of caching from a plugin, server provided or CDN.

Please provide a link to your website so we can take a look. Maybe we can identify the problem.

Thanks

Hello kalum,

First of all, please disable all of the untested plugins, clear of the caches, purge CDN files and check if this problem is still there. If you bring the same results after this, I suggest you make a new fresh install to another sub-domain for testing, clear all the caches and check the results.

Thanks for your understanding!

Hi,

That is unusual, I have tried your Instagram ID without a “/”
https://www.screencast.com/t/EDgY0gPkw7h
So it should work the same for you, a “/” is not required when configuring Instagram. Configure it as mentioned and there should be no problem with it’s functionality. Maybe clear the caching after if you have any, or CDN if you use it. Let us know.

Thanks

Sure, code is valid of course… I have configured code in “Custom CSS” template function, but, when I moved where you told, it does not work…
I don’t have caching plugins or CDN

Simion C.
tagDiv Staff

If the code is valid, then what it is supposed to do should be visible after entering it. Maybe you have caching or a CDN. Try clearing the cache and purge CDN files if that is the case. Once entered in either the child theme stylesheet
https://www.screencast.com/t/tReNfeKeY
Or main theme stylesheet – https://www.screencast.com/t/mF667VbZ1adJ
Then the code will be loaded accordingly.
