Hallo Catalin,
Okay, so I deleted Child Theme, deleted cache, updated theme via FTP and reset the settings. But unfortunately it did not help, so it’s still CSS, I can live with it but it’s not nice, can it be related to PHP 7.2?
Hello Alexa89,
I saw that you are using the child theme with such customizations which can break the theme. Try to revert the theme to the main version, clear all the caches and check the results. Also, ensure that you are using the latest version of the child theme which comes bundled with the theme core files.
Thanks for your understanding!
If the code is valid, then what it is supposed to do should be visible after entering it. Maybe you have caching or a CDN. Try clearing the cache and purge CDN files if that is the case. Once entered in either the child theme stylesheet
– https://www.screencast.com/t/tReNfeKeY
Or main theme stylesheet – https://www.screencast.com/t/mF667VbZ1adJ
Then the code will be loaded accordingly.
I tried to apply changes in style.css inside child theme folder but it seems is not working… I tried to apply changes also in style.css of main theme folder, but nothing happens. thank’s a lot for patience.

Hi,
The custom CSS from the theme panel will be loaded after the theme stylesheet. You can also add custom CSS in a child theme stylesheet if you have one, or directly in the main theme stylesheet file.
If you add it in the main theme you will probably have to re-add it after a theme update, but this will ensure that the code is loaded faster, along with the theme style.
Thanks
It turns out it was the child theme that I had created that was causing the problem. I updated the theme and generated a new child theme and the logo is back.
Hello,
This could be a plugin conflict so please disable all plugins except the page builder, clear cache and reset cdn files if you use it. Please also check any custom code you might have added to the theme panel or the theme files. If you use a child theme, please switch to the main theme to make sure it does not affect the proper functionality of the theme.
Thank you!

Hi,
Indeed, making any modification directly in the theme files will not be a long term solution. If possible a child theme should be used for that. There is a child theme provided in the theme package, this is a guide
– https://forum.tagdiv.com/the-child-theme-support-tutorial/
Not all theme files can be customized with it, the files that can be are mentioned in the guide. If it is required to modify a theme file that cannot be modified with a child theme, make the modification and back-up the respective file. After making an update replace the new file with the one you backed-up.
Be sure to check the theme changelog after an update
– https://forum.tagdiv.com/how-to-update-the-theme-2/
There will be a list of modified files. So for example if you modify a file (child theme or not) this modification might have to be made again, taking into consideration the modifications made to the original file after the update.
Custom CSS code (and other code) can also be entered in the theme panel custom code sections. Code entered in these sections will not be lost after a theme update, it is saved in the database of the website.
There is also a Live CSS feature that you can use for various CSS customization
– https://www.screencast.com/t/jX35QFGtPuO
– https://forum.tagdiv.com/create-custom-code-using-the-browsers-inspector/
In terms of backup you could use a server provide option if available, using plugins etc
– https://codex.wordpress.org/WordPress_Backups
There are also many online guides and tutorials

I have a BIG problem.
I would like you read the whole text carefully, it is important.
I started my journey on wordpress a few months ago.
I installed the theme, some plugins, and I began to customize the css of the website without knowing that I would first have to create a child theme.
A few days ago a man told me that, with the first update of the theme, I will lost all my changes without a child theme.
So I looked for a guide to update the theme (it was recently released a new version) without losing the changes.
I installed a plugin to make the backup.
I made the backup, and following the same guide on the internet, I tried to install the new theme, without success.
Wanting to go back then I took my backup of the theme and installed it: what happened? The site crashed due to the td composer plugin, integrated into my theme (probably something went wrong in creating the backup).
After restoring the site thanks to the assistance of siteground, the majority of the categories and widgets disappeared; moreover, as if this were not enough, the td composer plugin (the pillar of my website), after being reinstalled, now is flickering when i try tu use it.
Now I’ve recreated the missing categories and widgets, but the fact remains that I absolutely have to learn how to update the theme without crashing the site or losing the changes.
So what would I like to do with your support? I would like to create a correct backup of the site and proceed to update the theme without losing even a personalization (and of course resolve the crashing and the flickering of td composer).
Hello cucumberandco,
I have inspected your website but the Header Logo seems to be there as you can see here -> https://www.screencast.com/t/waG3onFAB Regarding on your images, I saw that you have a problem with opacity for your images. It could be a temporary problem with your opacity. Maybe your images are stuck in opacity 0. This usually happens on a js error caused by plugins or customization or other external optimization tools. Please disable all plugins except visual composer, clear cache and reset CDN files if you use it. Please also check any custom code you might have added to the theme panel or the theme files. If you use a child theme, please switch to the main theme to make sure it does not affect the proper functioning of the theme.
We recommend using our TD COmposer because all of the major improvements in the future will be made on this plugin.
Hope this helps and let us know how it goes!
Thanks for the message!
Hello,
Sorry but I’m not sure why this happens. Do you alter the theme code? do you use a child theme? Did you test without plugins? There a re many things to check in debugging such an issue.
First please disable all plugins except the page builder, clear cache and reset cdn files if you use it. Please also check any custom code you might have added to the theme panel or the theme files. If you use a child theme, please switch to the main theme to make sure it does not affect the proper functionality of the theme.

Hello Timo,
I have checked your website and I saw through your console that you have a lot of js errors as you can see here -> https://www.screencast.com/t/rlvLknHgNko

Hey Catalin,
I have done everything based on the documentation and I am using only your tools. I can’t find the solution because I don’t use to do that. I have cleaned everything with your proposed cache plugin And I don’t use theme child. I installed the theme yesterday first time because the website is new one. But I don’t know how to find js errors…
Could you help me?
Thanks in advance
It works perfectly on Android. I first thought it would be a plugin issue as well but it’s not I uninstalled every single plugin and then I activated the main theme and then I activated the child theme neither of them would function correctly. I did every possible troubleshooting that I could think of and still it does not work. Which leads me to believe there’s something going on within the theme. If at all possible would you please be able to login to the website itself and take a look at things thank you…

Hello portalservicios,
Please notice that the js of the theme cannot be overwritten with the child theme and therefore, this change cannot be made using the Child Theme, sorry!
Thanks for your understanding!
Hello,
Please check your cache and the hosting side cache as well as your cdn sever. THere is something preventing the changes to apply correctly.
It could also be a plugin causing this so Please disable all plugins except the page builder, clear cache and reset cdn files if you use it. Please also check any custom code you might have added to the theme panel or the theme files. If you use a child theme, please switch to the main theme to make sure it does not affect the proper functionality of the theme.

Thanks for the reply. I tried to follow the steps described in the thread by adding the files to the same path in my child-theme but still taking the path of the parent theme. I hope I explained correctly.
What solution does this have?
