Hi,
No replacement is needed for the default child theme, the issue was with theme multi-purpose plugin. It was fixed in version 8.5.1, provided yesterday. Download and install this version if you did not already
– https://forum.tagdiv.com/install-via-ftp/
Make sure the multi-purpose plugin is active and test with the child theme active as well. There should not be any problems. We have made many tests and everything is working in our tests.
Thanks
Hi,
There were some fixes provided in version 8.5.1. Mainly there was an issue with having a child theme, that caused issues like you mention. Other various fixes were made as well.
The new elements should be displayed if the multi-purpose plugin is active
– https://www.screencast.com/t/ljDL8WXg
So please try and update the theme to the latest version and check again.
Thanks
Hello,
This could be a plugin conflict so please disable all plugins except the page builder, clear cache and reset cdn files if you use it. Please also check any custom code you might have added to the theme panel or the theme files. If you use a child theme, please switch to the main theme to make sure it does not affect the proper functionality of the theme.
Thank you!
Hello aminudidat,
Ensure that you have installed the latest theme version via FTP way because this is the surest theme method, in this case, check your system status parameters to be increased according to our documentation here -> https://forum.tagdiv.com/system-status-parameters-guide/ Most likely, your PHP memory has exhausted and that’s why nothing renders. Also, if you are using some untested plugins, try to disable all of these, clear all the caches and check the results. If you are using the child theme, try to switch to the main theme and check. If the problem is still there, please let us know.
Hope this helps!

Deactivating the plugin resolves the issue
I have updated to Newspaper Theme 8.5.1 from 8.5.0
However, the theme doesn’t seem to be populating upon update. I also have a child theme, with very minimal css on style.css so it can’t be it.
On my front page I am seeing this: [vc_row full_width=”stretch_row_content td-stretch-content”][vc_column]
Please advise.
Thank you,
@ Simion C. I’m developing locally in MAMP, so I cannot provide you with a login. I did disable the Child theme— the “tagDiv Multi-Purpose” plugin now appears to work. The buttons are available in the elements section of tagDiv Composer now. So what can I do about the Child Theme? Is there a replacement? I am using the Child Theme that came with the Newspaper Theme download, which I purchased about a week ago.

Hi,
I have had lot of problems whit my theme child on v8.5 Newspaper.
Now I have updated to v8.5.1 (already replaced with new theme-child files from “code” folder) but some problems are solved but there are new like this:
[tdm_block_column_title title_text=”TCdFU1BFUlRPJTIwUklTUE9OREU=” title_tag=”h1″ title_size=”tdm-title-md” tds_title=”tds_title3″ tds_title3-subtitle_text=”Hai un dubbio? Chiedi all’esperto!” tds_title3-subtitle_position=””]

Any new multipurpose object seems to works!
Resolved – issues in functions.php in child-theme.
Hi,
@Graphic Oracle The issue you are describing with the theme panel was related to the child theme. This is fixed in the update that was provided a while ago.
If you have made the update and the problem is still present, please send us an email at contact@tagdiv.com and provide admin login information. We will take a look.
Also paste a link to this topic in your email.
Thanks
I also have got a notice and in fact the version number is different. It’s 8.5.1 now. Possibly a Patch for the child-theme issue with the multipurpose plugin. When you download it from envato/themeforest you’ll find a folder called “patch_8.5_8.5.1” also there should be a html file with all files modified and added. However I just replaced the 8.5 files with the ones from the patch folder and still the child-theme issue isn’t fixed.
Even with other plugins disabled it didn’t work. I’ve fixed it by using a custom WPML language switcher and inserted it into the template which I had to rewrite in child theme.
Hello screengeek,
#1. I’m sorry but I did not saw any Taboola Ads on your website and I do not exactly understand what exactly you want to change. Provide some useful screenshots for a better understanding!
#2. If you want to change the Tags name for Tag page, notice that you should edit the certain core files where exactly the tags are created and make there the changes you want. Clear all the caches and check the results. Notice that for each theme update, all the theme code will be overwritten and all of these changes might be lost. Make a backup with this changes or try using the child theme if this will support that files. For more information about this, please check here -> https://forum.tagdiv.com/newsmag-child-theme-support/
Thanks for the message!
Hi,
That is unusual to say the least. If it is a solution that works for you, make the modification and leave it like that. Maybe make it in a child theme like triowebdev mentions, so you will not have to make it again after each theme update.
Thanks
Hello,
The only tested and recommended plugins to use with our theme are these ones:
WP Super Cache- caching plugin
Contact form 7- used to make contact forms
bbPress- forum plugin
BuddyPress- social network plugin
Font Awesome 4 Menus- icon pack, supported in the theme menus
Jetpack- plugin with lots of features *it may slow down your site
WooCommerce- eCommerce solution
WordPress (Yoast) SEO- SEO plugin
Wp User Avatar- Change users avatars
WPML – multilingual plugin
Anything beyond this list is not tested and I cannot say for sure if it will work or not.

I saw this question has been asked on Themeforest about 2 years ago and still the only solution is to use CSS? Is it that hard to add a filter we could use in the child theme to remove it entirely, not just with CSS?
Hi,
I could give you a code to make table use 100% of the available post content space, the result would be like this
– https://www.screencast.com/t/SAnt61zifg
Additionally you could increase the first column containing the list
– https://www.screencast.com/t/cY7YcQLw
This is the code for the table width
.td-post-content table {
width: 100%!important;
}
This for the first column, use it if you wish (you may modify it)
.td-post-content table td:first-child {
width: 105pt!important;
}
These codes will affect all the posts that have tables inside the content. Enter them in Theme panel->Custom CSS code section.
Thanks
Hello sukola,
Make sure that you are using the latest version of Child Theme from the Theme packet. Also, it seems that’s a mini bug with it. So, you should replace the multi-purpose plugin with this new plugin from here -> http://cdn.tagdiv.com/wp-content/uploads/2017/12/td-multi-purpose.zip Clear all the caches and check the results.
Thanks for the message!
Hello,
By default this should not happen as a demo only changes the front-end of the site, not the back-end.
This could be a plugin conflict so please disable all plugins except the page builder, clear cache and reset cdn files if you use it. Please also check any custom code you might have added to the theme panel or the theme files. Hello,
Unfortunately a child theme is not update proof. Sorry. Please read this topic: https://forum.tagdiv.com/topic/setting-up-child-theme/
Thank you!
Hello,
1)Yes, you can replicate any demo without the dummy data but you need to install that demo in order for the theme to load the specific css needed.
2) please disable the child theme if you do not see the save buton as the new multi-purpose plugin has an issue with the child theme that will soon be fixed.
Thank you!

Hello,
Sorry for the inconvenience. Please do not use it together with a child theme or with the mobile theme plugin. We will release a fix as soon as possible,
Thank you!
Hi,
The theme uses the default WordPress login functionality, so most likely this is happening on a default theme as well. Please try as a quick test to see if deactivating all plugins except theme plugins has any effect. Maybe a plugin is causing the issue.
The default behaviour is to redirect to the homepage after the user logs out.
There are some issues with the child theme functionality after the latest theme update. We are working to provide a solution as soon as possible. Sorry for this inconvenience.
Thanks
