Hello fakiro,
Notice that we do not recommend to use both page builders in simultaneously mode, sorry! You should remove the Visual Composer if it is enabled. Also, try to re-create the page using the TD COmposer and check the results.
Thanks for the message!
Hello,
The images you mention are the ‘TDM’ pictures required by the new multi-purpose plugin. They will come back as the plugin needs them to show up properly on the tagdiv composer. Sorry but these few images are required by the theme and cannot be deleted.
Thank you!
Hi,
The latest changes to the theme and composer have increased the options and possibilities of what can be achieved with them. What latest changes have disappointed you exactly? Most of the additions are optional, you could simply not use them if they are not required for you.
Indeed the tagDiv composer is the main page builder at the moment. It will be integrated further with the theme. Some theme options may only be used with it active. The theme can still be used with Visual composer, this is still provided in the package and updated along theme updates.
The frontend of Visual composer has always been disabled in the theme. This was done because there could be problems using it with our blocks and grids. If you want to remove the function that disables the frontend in Visual composer check this topic
– https://forum.tagdiv.com/topic/how-to-enable-frontend-editor-mode-in-visual-composer/
But note that this is highly not recommended.
The tagDiv composer can be disabled if you do not use it. You can use Visual composer further.
Thank you!
Hi,
1. That is not possible, only the latest version of the theme is always available for download. Currently the theme is version 8.7.2
– https://www.screencast.com/t/vZxmaVDCzi
The tagDiv composer is now version 2.1 and the multi-purpose plugin us version 2.0
– https://www.screencast.com/t/ZTOZhw6Io
Please download the latest theme package and install it, the most recommended method to update themes is by FTP
– https://forum.tagdiv.com/how-to-update-the-theme-2/
2. Update all the theme plugins after updating the theme. Let us know if there still is a problem and what exactly the error is.
3. Provide a link to your website and we will inspect this issue. I have tested simple drop-down menus, there are no issues with them. Check the live theme demo Homepages menu (latest theme version is installed in demo)
– https://demo.tagdiv.com/newspaper/
That could be caused by a third party plugin, you could try as a quick test to deactivate them all and check the results.
4. We will inspect this if you could provide a link to your website. It could be a combination of colors in the theme panel, so the icon is not visible
– https://www.screencast.com/t/QzU7fftvU
Or it could be some other issue.
5. There were no changes in the theme regarding the thumbnail creation. These are created the same as before. If the images you use are of quality, the thumbnails will be as well. Unless you have a form of image compression/optimization or quality filter added by you or provided by the server.
Thank you!
I have a page-style custom post type named “guides” that I want to use with TagDiv Composer. TD Composer was working properly at one point, but after some recent updates we began seeing an error when loading TD Composer. Unfortunately, Newspaper is still very much a beta-project for us (i.e. we have not launched the website using the theme yet; the live site is still using a custom theme we built years ago), so I do not have a clear timeline of when the error first appeared (since we aren’t checking it all the time).
When loading TD Composer on any “guide” post type, a red bar appears at the top of the screen with this error:
“Errors happened during tdcIframeData.init() -> bindViewsModelsWrappers()!”
The error prevents new elements from being added to the page.
TD Composer still works properly in the WordPress “page” post type. We considered just moving all our guide content to be listed as Pages instead, but there are hundreds of them. The custom post type is for organization more than anything else, and we would really like to keep it if possible. Is there a solution to this error?
The custom post types are added in function.php using the standard WordPress creation code.
I have the same error. When clicking TD composer button, black page shows on screen. I cant edit the pages from front end
I’m same error. When click in edit TD Composer button is show 502 bad gateway on screen. I can’t edit the pages. 🙁
Hi Simion,
Thanks for your reply. I don’t currently have TD Composer installed on a live installation at the moment (I tried and deleted it as a test). I have tested it again across Safari (V11.0.3), Firefox Quantum (V58.0.2), Firefox Developer Edition (V60.0b2), Chrome (V64.0.3282.186) and am still seeing the same thing.
I’ve also tried resizing by zooming in and out and it does not make a difference.
I’m thinking maybe there is a setting on my computer beyond the browser that might be affecting it. Do you think this is possible?
I’ll try to tinker around a bit more and, if no luck, I’ll reinstall on a live demo site for you to have a look.
Kind regards

I was adding elements on my page with the tagDiv, but in some moment I got this error on my homepage
Errors happened during tdcIframeData.init() -> bindViewsModelsWrappers()!
I don’t know how to solve, I appreciate your help
My site don’t use cache
php 5.6
All of my posts have the [vc_row] shortcode to create a 50/50 split. Even though I had VC disabled for posts, I manually used the shortcode which I’m guessing means I sort of did use it, even though it was not active on the backend.
After I updated to 8.7 everything worked except for these areas of the post. When I changed the span6 CSS in my child theme from 50% width to 34% it restored the appearance. I’ve since deactivated VC and I’m now using TagDiv composer on pages which I think is absolutely awesome.
I think what I need to do now is find a suitable solution to replace the VC shortcode on posts so that I can restore the span6 style back to 50%.
I’m not sure where else this span6 style is used, but the site seems to appear ok with it set to 34%
Maybe I can use .CSS to create 2 floating div’s that have min-widths to cause them to fall beneath one another when viewed on a mobile.
On pages there is now an option to split the content in two equal columns, in the tagDiv composer
– https://www.screencast.com/t/UsRnz9aaeSXF
The multi-purpose plugin adds more functionality to the composer, meaning row layouts and many elements that can be used on pages. The recommended method of switching to the tagDiv composer is to recreate the pages entirely with it if possible. Then there will be no more problems.
On posts for the moment the tagDiv composer cannot be used, this may change in a future update.
The tagDiv composer uses the same row/column shortcode as Visual composer, there is a level of compatibility between the two page builders
– https://forum.tagdiv.com/visual-composer-tagdiv-composer-transition/
Please check the theme system status section
– https://forum.tagdiv.com/system-status-parameters-guide/
Ask your hosting provider to increase the allocated resources if needed. If you updated from an older version to the latest one (8.7.2) reinstall the tagDiv composer (latest version is 2.1).
Additionally try as a test to deactivate all other plugins, leave only the theme plugins active. Check if the issue is still happening. Let us know the results.
Hello mjehangir,
Check the system status parameters to be increased according to our documentation. Check the theme to be the latest version of it installed via FTP way, clear all the caches and check the results. Until now, we do not have any bad reports in this case and notice that the TD Composer should works as expected, without any problems.
A 500 error can have a bunch of causes but in usual debugging you would use such a guide: https://www.lifewire.com/500-internal-server-error-explained-2622938
Please access your files via FTP and try to rename the plugins folder and test again.
Thanks.
Hi,
The latest version of the tagDiv composer plugin was optimized further, so there should be no problems. Make sure you are using the latest version of the composer
– https://www.screencast.com/t/qUQ9uTJkd
Also you could contact your hosting provider and mention the issue. Check the server and WordPress allocated resources
– https://forum.tagdiv.com/system-status-parameters-guide/
– https://forum.tagdiv.com/requirements-for-newspaper/
These resources could be limited by the hosting, that could be why the issue is happening.
Hi,
The composers are fully compatible with the theme, they do not provide errors like you mention. Maybe some code entered in theme panel or theme files is to blame, if you entered any.
We could take a look, please send us an email at contact@tagdiv.com and provide us with admin access to your website.
Thank you!
Hi,
We have made many tests with the mentioned browsers, there were no visual layout issues with the composer sidebar
– https://www.screencast.com/t/P39ezBPwEV
– https://www.screencast.com/t/8fDeUGCL
– https://www.screencast.com/t/gQ4JpQGGqDD
Newest version of each browser is installed. If you could provide us with access to a live website where this is happening we will take a look. We cannot recreate this on these browsers.
Thank you!
OK, but my question is about how to insert a code that was made for WPBakery Page Builder, that was your backend support for template before tagDIv Composer. Some months ago I worked with Newspaper and WPBakery Page Builder, then I think you can know how to insert code in tagDIv Composer.
You know the behavior of WPBakery Page Builder and this add-on is built to work with him. That is why I think you should know what changes or what structure is equivalent between one and the other.(https://calendarize.it/)
I do not need support for the add-on, just know where or how to enter the code.
This is an example of code>:
[rhc_static_upcoming_events template=”widget_custom_accordion.php” number=”6″ horizon=”hour” words=”100″ date_format=”MMM d, yyyy” time_format=”h:mmtt” order=”ASC” post_type=”events” showimage=”1″ feed=”0″ nav=”3″ auw_title_type=”1″ taxonomy=”calendar” terms=”spartan-races”]
Thanks!
Installing a demo with content will provide the homepage structure, without content you will have to build the homepage. You could install the demo without content and use the homepage from the demo folders. Example
– https://www.screencast.com/t/v1a9rgPw
– https://www.screencast.com/t/YWSVjh51vqt
Then edit the page with the tagDiv composer and configure the grids and blocks to display the posts you want.
I updated to the latest version of Newspaper from 7.0.1 (yes!). But I’m not happy with the performance.
I was not using Visual Composer or TagDiv composer for inserting the beautiful big block on the homepage, but I was allowed to insert 1-2 block styles without any of these plugins, but this can’t be done anymore in new version.
Please bring this feature back. I don’t want to use Visual or TagDiv Composers, I don’t need them and they are heavy, resources hungry.
Thanks for the reply. The content is saved, as my revision history shows all of the shortcode.
Any thoughts as to why the TagDiv Composer button wouldn’t show up on the standard edit page?
That is not a bug, the mobile theme will not display the same content from desktop. It will not display pages built with the composer, content for mobile pages can only be entered through the mobile editor
– https://www.screencast.com/t/6Z2evNxsXE
This mobile plugin is optional, if you want to display the same content form desktop simply deactivate it. More about the plugin here
– https://forum.tagdiv.com/the-mobile-theme/
@stanisci There seems to be some theme design missing, that is why the author name looks broken. Enter this code in Theme panel->Mobile theme->Custom CSS
header .td-module-meta-info .td-post-author-name div {
display: inline-block;
margin-right: 2px;
}
Hello tec99,
There was added a gradient and that’s why this rule was hardcoded. If you want to use another color for this section you should choose what color you want from the Composer and then add the following code to Theme panel.
The code is here ->
.td-dentist .tdm_block_testimonial .tds-testimonial3 .tdm-testimonial-descr {
background:transparent;
}
We will fix in the near future update, sorry!
Thanks for your understanding!
Hi,
Maybe the page content is not saved in the first place when you click on the save button
– https://www.screencast.com/t/E3q3LdY7N
It should display a success message.
Check the theme system status parameters
– https://forum.tagdiv.com/system-status-parameters-guide/
Ask your hosting provider to increase the allocated resources if needed. Make sure the plugin is active in the plugins section, and the button will appear on pages (not posts). Deactivate all plugins as a quick test, leave only theme plugins active. Create a new page with the tagDiv composer and save it, then re-open it.
If there still is a problem, send us an email at contact@tagdiv.com and provide admin login information, as well as FTP and cPanel access if possible. We will take a look.
Thank you!
