We always try to improve our theme but the elements you described are not part of the standard visual composer repository so we cannot add extra vc elements. What we can add are theme specific elements. We try on every major update to bring new features and block elements so this is the general plan 🙂 Unfortunately this process is not easy and it takes time.

Unfortunately if you use visual composer on posts (not recommended) this issue will be present on the mobile theme. The mobile theme does not use visual composer and that is why it will show the shortcode on posts. Pages got converted to mobile versions you have top create in the mobile editor but visual composer on posts is not recommended. You can use it but these will be the consequences. You can either stop using VC on posts or stop using the mobile theme as there is no workaround for it. Sorry. If you want to add content to the sidebars and footer, you need to access the widgets area of WP and place content in your sidebars: http://screencast.com/t/VMEdA9Em
If your homepage does not use a side-bar but a split row in visual composer you have to add content directly in page edit like so: http://screencast.com/t/66rmu3YPUWeJ

If settings from revolution slider do not apply to your slides, please clear your cache and reset cdn files. Also try to test other settings and see if anything applies as it may affect other settings as well. Also you can try to disable all plugins except visual composer and clear cache again to rule out a plugin conflict.
Also make sure the id of the posts are correct. You can get post id’s like so: http://screencast.com/t/WqoPeGuyk

Unfortunately these elements are not present in the standard version of visual composer. Our theme only disabled the front-end editor but we did not remove any elements= from the plugin. You can test this by activating a default WP theme and testing visual composer. We did not modify anything in the plugin structure. All modifications required for visual composer are done through the theme, not by editing the plugin itself so activating a default theme, you will be able to see the plugin in it’s original state.

You can create a new page and play a little using Visual Composer, create new layouts and new elements just to make an idea how it works. It is not so difficult and you will manage to make an idea, if you never use it before.

3. I’m not sure what you mean. Do you want to place it in the sidebar? You can do this from Widgets area.

4. Do you have any articles on your site? From what I see you don’t have – http://screencast.com/t/agPPJ0pqhdUl I guess that’s why the Big Grid doesn’t appear on your site, if there are no posts to display, the tagdiv elements will not appear.
I suggest to follow some wordpress tutorials, you can find some of them also in our documentation – https://forum.tagdiv.com/newspaper-theme-documentation/ and then please check the theme documentation to make an idea about the theme settings and features.

If you use the mobile theme, the content from pages, footer and others will revert back to default as the mobile theme does not use visual composer, thus no blocks or widgets can be used. Please read this guide: https://forum.tagdiv.com/the-mobile-theme/

If your visual composer problem is not fixed, try to disable all other plugins except visual composer, clear cache and reset cdn files.
