Hi,
Please try to disable all plugins except visual composer, clear cache and reset cdn files in order to rule out a plugin conflict. If the problem is still there with the news ticker, please send us an email at contact@tagdiv.com and provide wp-admin se we can login and inspect the issue.
As for the mega-menu, please follow this topic to see how you should set it up properly: https://forum.tagdiv.com/topic/mega-menu-not-working/
Thank you!
Hi,
If you do not have any custom modifications made to the theme files, then please follow this guide to update your theme: https://forum.tagdiv.com/how-to-update-the-theme-2/
Please be sure to hit the save button in the theme panel after the update is complete. Also make sure to update your visual composer plugin: https://forum.tagdiv.com/how-to-update-visual-composer-plugin/ and also the social counter plugin (using the same method)
Thank you!
Hi,
Please make sure you update your theme to the latest version and update the visual composer. Make sure you have version 4.11.2 of visual composer.
Thank you!
Salutare,
Multumesc.
Hi,
Please try to disable all plugins except visual composer, clear cache and reset cdn files.
This will rule out a plugin conflict. Next, hit the ‘save’ button in the theme panel again for the theme to grab the settings from your previous install. Another thing to try is to activate the main theme if you use a child theme (a child theme is not update proof and it will have to be updated as well)
Let us know how it goes.
Thank you!
The CSS works fine for the pages that visitors see on the blog.
It’s only when composing that the author sees a hard to work with format (the block capital letters in particular make editing hard because copy pasting picks up the all caps).

Hello pietro89,
The latest version of WordPress ‘break’ the Visual Composer. Please try to update the theme to the latest version (v.7.0) and also, the Visual Composer to the latest version (4.11.2), clears all your caches and check the results and see how it works.
Hope this helps and let us know how it goes!
Thanks.
Hello sudhanshu15,
I suspect to be conflicting plugins. Please try to disable all the active plugins, leave just Visual Composer to active, clear all your caches and install only the plugins that come bundled with our theme and rule out this issue. Also, if you need some additional customization through code, please try to remove them and check again the results.
Hope this helps and let us know how it goes!
Thank you for your understanding!
Hi,
We have tested the theme and have no such reports. Please try to disable all plugins except visual composer, clear cache and reset cdn files. It displays fine on our end and on our live demo: http://demo.tagdiv.com/newspaper/
Thank you!
Hi,
Something must have gone wrong with the updating process or maybe you use a child theme from newspaper 6. Please try to do a clean install via ftp: https://forum.tagdiv.com/install-via-ftp/ remove your child theme as it will not work with newspaper 7 (it has to be re-done) and try it without any plugins as some of them could become incompatible with newspaper 7. Disable all plugins except visual composer, clear cache and reset cdn files.
Thank you!
Hello,
This issue was created by wordfence and the latest version of wp. Please follow this topic to see how to set it up: https://forum.tagdiv.com/topic/cant-save-theme-settings/
If you do not use wordfence, please try to disable all plugins except visual composer, clear cache and reset cdn files.
Thank you!
Hi,
The related articles should post related articles, not the latest from all categories, but posts from the same category as the current post. Please try to revert any modifications you might have to this widget or try to disable all plugins except visual composer, clear cache and reset cdn files in order to rule out a plugin conflict.
Thank you
Hello kskpatra,
I have checked your website and I saw that most images are displayed fine, like this -> http://screencast.com/t/hnZo8c2KwWz and with your second problem, it seems to be an issue with your post link which might appear from your untested plugins. I have checked your console and I also saw that you have a lot of js errors and warnings through it. Please try to disable all the active plugins, leave just Visual Composer to active and install only the plugins that come bundled with our theme and rule out the conflicting plugins. Please clear all your caches and check again the results.
Hope this helps and let us know how it goes!
Thank you for your understanding!
Hi,
I have a problem with visual composer. It doesn’t work at all.
Can you help me?
Thanks

I have some custom CSS added in ThemePanel to change how block quote looks on the site (I’ve put that at the end).
However when our authors are composing in the visual editor, block quotes ALWAYS come out in CAPSLOCK and centred and I can’t figure out how to change this.
Just for the record I upgraded to 7.0 a few minutes ago (including apply a couple of customisations of my own) and everything is working fine.
.post blockquote p{
padding-left: 10%;
padding-right: 5%;
text-align: justify;
line-height: inherit;
font-style: italic;
}
.td-page-content blockquote p,.td-post-content blockquote p,.wpb_text_column blockquote p,.td_block_text_with_title blockquote p,.bbpress blockquote p,.woocommerce #tab-description blockquote p,.mce-content-body blockquote p,.comment-content blockquote p{
font-family:inherit;
font-size:inherit;
line-height:inherit;
font-weight:inherit;
font-style:italic;
text-align:justify;
text-transform:inherit;
color:inherit;
padding-left: 10%;
padding-right: 5%;
}
Hello Junior,
The latest version of WordPress ‘broke’ the Visual Composer and have appeared a lot of issues through this plugin which is solved it in the latest version of this (4.11.2). Please ensure that you are using the latest version of Visual Composer, and also, of the theme, clear all your caches and after check the results. For more information about update, please chek our documentation here -> https://forum.tagdiv.com/how-to-update-visual-composer-plugin/
Also, I recommend you to disable all your untested plugins to rule out the conflicting plugins.
Hope this helps and let us know how it goes!
Thanks.
Hello,
1) The site title can be changed from the SEO Yoast plugin under titles sand meta. The theme cannot change the site title.
2) Maybe you have the social counter set in visual composer on a split row, not as a sidebar. Please edit your page and check the rightmost column of the layout.
Thank you!
Hi,
Please make sure you have the latest version of the social counter installed. Please update your theme to the latest version (newspaper 7) by following this guide: https://forum.tagdiv.com/how-to-update-the-theme-2/ and then also update the plugins : visual composer: https://forum.tagdiv.com/how-to-update-visual-composer-plugin/ and use the same method to install the new version of social counter.
The social counter is not a live count and is affected by cache so please either clear your cache after you set it up or wait a bit for it to update. In @snledo’s case, it now works: http://screencast.com/t/J06krX6WhUsa
Thank you!
Hi,
I see you use the latest version of newspaper 6 (newspaper 7 released today) and the latest version of visual composer, so the plugin should work as expected. Please try to edit a page and access the backend editor like so: http://screencast.com/t/0oFIDEelhDj If the back-end editor still does not work, please try to disable all plugins except visual composer, clear cache and reset cdn files.
Let us know how it goes.
Thank you!
Hello mitechnews,
I suspect being a conflicting plugin which causes an error with your saving. Also, until now we have any bad reports with the Wordfence plugin which create some kind of issue in our theme with the latest version of WordPress. I recommend to disable all the active plugins, leave just Visual Composer to active, clear all caches and install only the plugins that come bundled with our theme and rule out the conflicting plugins. Also, you can check this topic here -> https://forum.tagdiv.com/topic/cant-save-theme-settings/ because one of our users has given a solution regarding on Wordfence plugin security.
Hope this helps and let us know how it goes!
Thanks.
I tried updating to version 6 a couple of weeks ago but went back to 4 as everything got jumbled up for example sidebar was below content and visual composer was messy (but the updater script did work to keep my sidebars).
I will try again with version 7 this week but can I check on this page forum.tagdiv.com/how-to-update-the-theme-2 you say to delete existing theme via ftp and make sure the following are deleted – but are these deleted if I already delete the existing theme folder or are they somewhere else as well?
page-homepage-bg.php
page-homepage-bg-loop.php
page-homepage-blank.php
page-homepage-loop.php
page-homepage-timeline.php
Hi,
The bullet points display properly in our theme as you can see here: http://demo.tagdiv.com/newspaper/120-er-visits-linked-synthetic-wordpress-nyc-past-week/
Please try to disable all plugins except visual composer, clear cache and reset cdn files in order to rule out a plugin conflict.
Let us know how it goes.
Thank you!
Hi,
As Chris suggested, you can ignore the message as the free version of visual composer cannot be activate it. The features work properly and no activation code is required. We will provide updates on a regular basis along with the theme update. The social counter plugin also does this sop please ignore that one as well.
Thank you!
Hello,
The best thing to do when starting out with a new theme is to read the documentation as you will find much useful information: https://forum.tagdiv.com/wordpress-information/
You can also check out our live demo to see the theme features in action: http://demo.tagdiv.com/newspaper/ (in the menu under the features item)
Our theme comes with predefined content blocks you can add to your pages and sidebars. On poages you must use visual composer for it and for the sidebars you can use the widgets section of wp.
You can also check out our youtube channel for video tutorials: https://www.youtube.com/user/tagdiv
Hope this helps.
Thank you.
Hello efaq,
1)Please notice that the custom menu would be your custom menu, created as you wish and then the custom button you have to add it to a page with Visual Composer, like this -> http://screencast.com/t/i834fsDw and there you can see the buttons for all your menu items.
2)So, I think that you understand as our theme uses a lot of modules/blocks which have a lot of thumbnails in our theme. If you are not using some blocks, you can deactivate from Theme panel the thumbnail which uses this type of blocks. For example, if you do not want to use block 3, you can turn off the module 1 and so let of forth.
3)Unfortunately, these columns come by default with our theme and you have no control about these because this is predefined. If you want to customize your footer section, you have to use the footer template style 5 because this is a custom template and you can add in it any widgets you wish in Footer 1,2,3. For more information about our footer template, please check our documentation here -> https://forum.tagdiv.com/footer-templates/
Thanks.
