Hello!

Unfortunately, all the settings needs to be done in the Revolution Slider plugin and not in the TagDiv Composer.
Also, please check you have no margins or paddings in the CSS tab of that row.

Thank you!

i do not change the server or the cdn or caching things, i use memcache, siteground advanced cache system and everything i can use, minify js, css ecc …

Can you help me inspecting why ? and maybe can you help me to achive better response time ? i would like to get back to the B score i have before…

Hello @brenbrinkman!

Unfortunately, there are no settings for hovering.
I believe you can add a hover color for that element using some CSS: https://forum.tagdiv.com/create-custom-code-using-the-browsers-inspector/

Thank you!

Hello,
I just checked your article and I see that now the css is apply correctly -> https://i.imgur.com/z0NQbXw.png did you manage to fix it? If no, then please try in incognito, maybe you have some cache on the browser or some extensions that are interfering.
Thank you!

Hello,

Using the column title you can design it with custom code css.
You need to add an extra class on the element, for example, I set .e-cls -> https://i.imgur.com/cn2xPef.png

.e-cls .tds-title *:before {
content: '';
display: block;
height: 4px;
position: absolute;
top: 50%;
margin-top: -8px;
right: 0;
width: 70%;
background-color: red;
}

The code needs to be set in Theme panel -> Custom code -> Custom CSS => https://www.screencast.com/t/fxetQe24ZHf

Thank you!

Hi mgiannelis,
Can you please let us know how did you discover that this problem is from the theme, we are also very curious!
My question is simple, when you are logged in to the site and the cache does not apply, does it work correctly? Does the dropdown in the menu and the sliding sidebar work?
If so, then it is possible that some settings in the cache plugins interfere with the css and javascript in the theme.
Now if you have tested everything listed above and the problem persists, please contact us by email at contact@tagdiv.com and provide us a chance to investigate the problems. For this we will need temporary wp-admin access, and also include this link to identify you faster.
Thank you for your understanding!

Hello,

If you are using the Gutenberg editor, then there will be no sidebar in the editor, this will look like this -> https://i.imgur.com/F6PUBhU.png
If you are using some classic editor plugin, then the sidebar can be removed only from the files, for this, you need to go in -> wp-content/themes/Newspaper/editor-style.css and comment these lines of CSS -> https://imgur.com/EpWJhGZ

Hope this will help you!

Thank you!

Hello,

You can change the color for icons using this custom code
#td-mobile-nav .td-social-icon-wrap i
{
color: blue;
}

The code needs to be set in Theme panel -> Custom code -> Custom CSS => https://www.screencast.com/t/fxetQe24ZHf

Hi,
Yes, the section from custom css from theme panel can be used.
Also, if you want to edit the style file, you can use the css in the child theme in style.css file, in this way the code will not be lost and you can adjust it after your needs -> https://forum.tagdiv.com/newsmag-child-theme-support/
Thank you!

Hi!
My issue is partially solved.
Now it adds the 2 brackets, but it doesn’t overwrite the style.css blockquote parameters. I’m not an expert, but I was lucky to find the CSS scrips in the style.css file:
}
.td-page-content blockquote p,
.td-post-content blockquote p,
.wpb_text_column blockquote p,
.td_block_text_with_title blockquote p,
.mce-content-body blockquote p,
.comment-content blockquote p {
font-family: 'Roboto', sans-serif;
font-size: 30px;
line-height: 40px;
font-weight: normal;
font-style: italic;
text-transform: uppercase;
color: #4db2ec;
}

Only changing them here I can for example change the font size, the color, etc. Therefore as I understand only the bold script of the custom CSS is recognized.
.td-post-content blockquote {
max-width: 600px;
text-align: center;
margin: 20px;
padding: 20px;
font-family: Arial,Helvetica Neue,Helvetica,sans-serif;
font-size: 20px;
color: #428bca;
border-left: 4px solid #428bca;
border-top-left-radius: 30px;
border-bottom-left-radius: 30px;
border-right: 4px solid #428bca;
border-top-right-radius: 30px;
border-bottom-right-radius: 30px;

}

Clearly, I prefer not to make changes in the style.css file, also because probably they will be overwritten when the theme is updated.

For sake of clarity for future users that will eventually read this post having the same needs. You cannot change the style of the blockquote from “Newsmag – Theme panel”, but you need just to add the code in the custom CSS field of “Newsmag – Theme panel”.

Hi,
Now I understand what you mean.
This code is working with the Newsmag too, all you need to do is to add an extra class.
Please try this css:
.td-post-content blockquote {
max-width: 600px;
text-align: center;
margin: 20px;
padding: 20px;
font-family: Arial,Helvetica Neue,Helvetica,sans-serif;
font-size: 20px;
color: #428bca;
border-left: 4px solid #428bca;
border-top-left-radius: 30px;
border-bottom-left-radius: 30px;
border-right: 4px solid #428bca;
border-top-right-radius: 30px;
border-bottom-right-radius: 30px;
}

I hope this will help you!

I mean if it is possible to set a custom style.
With other themes, I just enter for example the following CSS code to obtain a blockquote in a sort of brackets.
blockquote {
max-width: 600px;
text-align: center;
margin: 20px;
padding: 20px;
font-family: Arial,Helvetica Neue,Helvetica,sans-serif;
font-size: 20px;
color: #428bca;
border-left: 4px solid #428bca;
border-top-left-radius: 30px;
border-bottom-left-radius: 30px;
border-right: 4px solid #428bca;
border-top-right-radius: 30px;
border-bottom-right-radius: 30px;
}

Bust if I try to do so with newsmag it doesn’t work or better, is a merge between the standard theme’s blockquote style and this one.

I’m sorry for my English, hope I was clear.
Thanks.

Big slide is not understandable(people dont understand that it’s slide) and fails on different device sizes. rev slider is great but adds lots of js css and drops page speed like 50 points..
so extended shortcodes slide is perfect just need some improvement..

Hello everybody!
How can I change the blockquote style to modify the layout with or without CSS code? I’ve tried to add a custom CSS code, but I see that conflicts with the standard template’s style…
Thanks.

Hello Yen,

Post
1. For this error, please check this topic: https://forum.tagdiv.com/topic/error-at-zones-6models-1dom-the-model-does-not-match-the-content-currene/
2. This social sharing icon appears only on the mobile version. If you want it to be displayed on the desktop version, you need to use a custom CSS => https://www.screencast.com/t/slYFHBpS8tr

.td-social-line{
display: inline-block;
}

The code needs to be set in Theme panel -> Custom code -> Custom CSS => https://www.screencast.com/t/fxetQe24ZHf
3. The authors need to be WordPress users.
4. To add a new role, you need to use a plugin -> https://www.namecheap.com/wordpress/wordpress-user-accounts/

Search
1. Please let me know if you want to change the text or design.
2. You can exclude the pages from search https://i.imgur.com/TFQ2IGH.png but you can use a plugin that can exclude only the selected page/post -> https://wordpress.org/plugins/search-exclude/

Mobile
1. Could you please elaborate on what you mean by RWD? The AMP works better only with the Mobile Theme plugin. From my point of view, if you don’t use the Mobile Theme plugin, then there is no reason or benefit to AMP. Please read all about AMP here: https://forum.tagdiv.com/tagdiv-amp-plugin-tutorial/
It comes with its own templates/design for page, post, category, etc so your current templates from the desktop theme will get converted to the mobile theme layout. Documentation here:
https://forum.tagdiv.com/the-mobile-theme/
https://forum.tagdiv.com/mobile-theme-introduction/
Please read all about AMP here: https://forum.tagdiv.com/tagdiv-amp-plugin-tutorial/
Note that you can not customize AMP so much, because it comes with its own design.
There are some settings in the Theme panel -> Mobile Theme and Dashboard -> AMP only.
You can not add a shortcode as in the TagDiv Composer. Please note that you can’t customize the AMP pages with the TagDiv Composer.
Make sure the redirect mobile visitors to the amp option is disabled.

Thank you!

Hello!

In the TagDiv Composer, you have the possibility to hide an element on the desktop and tablet viewport: https://www.screencast.com/t/YUVUcyrgh and show it only on the mobile viewport: https://www.screencast.com/t/XDQJedlggSB. This setting can be seen in the CSS tab of every element: [Display: HIDDEN]. Or, you can create a mobile page which can be different from the desktop version: https://tagdiv.com/newspaper-10-3-7-update-brings-customizable-and-fast-mobile-pages/

Hello,

I added your css code and seems to work -> https://i.imgur.com/fjmxte6.png
Please add the css code in Theme Panel -> Custom code -> Custom CSS.

Hi,
Unfortunately for that section you need to use a custom css:
.td-review-summary-content{
color: #123fed;
}

This code need to be set in the theme panel > custom code > custom css.
Also, you can change the color with the one you need.
Thank you!

Hello,

we set our flex block 1 to the pre made style presets, image of ratio 4:3.
Sometimes however the image won’t show that nicely, like in the example below (rock am ring square poster).
We’d like to set it that the height shows as 100% and the width auto adjusts.

However, I keep on failing miserably.
How can this be done correctly via css please ?

Hi Sebastian,

The “More Article Box” can be edited using the theme panel settings -> https://i.imgur.com/in0kBIF.png
Another alternative is to use a custom css like this one:
body .td-more-articles-box {
top: 100px;
bottom: auto;
}

To adjust the box higher or lower just change the 100px in 200, 50 or how much you need.
The code need to be set in the theme panel > custom code> custom css.
I hope this will help you!
