Hi,
Did you use tagDiv Analyzer? And after that did you make changes?
If yes, please remove the generated CSS and generate it again.
Thank you!
I’ve set heading fonts in the Theme Panel>theme fonts>pages, but they are being ignored. Any h2, h3, h4 etc entered in a column text element is using Roboto instead of the fonts set in the theme panel.
We are not using Roboto anywhere.
We have disabled “Load theme fonts” in the theme panel.
I could override this using css and !important, but shouldn’t this work using the theme panel settings.?
I’m having issues with a giant logo/image on my home page view.
Cannot access the CSS Analyzer menu after update, because of green Edit with Tag Div Composer bar.
How do I solve this?
Is their a way to make the logo larger using the header template Pulses pro ( I think the name is) or can be seen at
I like teh layout just would like to make the logo slightly larger.. Is their a custom CSS for this?
Hi,
1. The mobile theme I have set for my website is not the one that is showing. It doesn’t even have the footer or side widgets that my desktop version does. I have tried changing the settings but it just won’t change.
2. Page Speed- Page speed is ok because I have literally stripped off every widget from my website. I am not even using full-size images, just a post block without the ‘load more’ button. I had to remove almost every block from the home page to make it load a bit faster.
3. I am using version 11.1, PHP 7.4, All my plugins are updated yet the speed test constantly shows low scores with tons of theme-related issues since I purchased the theme.
” tagDiv Composer has a negative impact on your performance metrics and should be removed or replaced. Overloads your site with CSS and JavaScript making a negative impact on your performance. The recommendation is to use the default WordPress block editor if you want a fast site”
“The newspaper has a negative impact on your performance metrics and should be removed or replaced.”
3. Even on a single post page I had to remove the featured images as it was negatively impacting the page load time.
The mobile theme template is showing some other version though
Basically, my site is just text right now. My main concern is the mobile theme which is constantly showing errors in the speed tests. I tried fixing it but somehow desktop version and mobile version are different.
I have a Travel and lifestyle blog. Not using images is NOT an option for me. ( Using Smush plugin for optimizing images) I need a fast-loading and responsive theme.
Thank you.
But 9.8 doesnt seem to load. I get a message:
“The theme is missing the style.css stylesheet.”
Is there another version of wordpress i can use for compatibility?
Or do you have link for version 10?
I updated the newspaper, then WordPress gave me a message that the update failed and since then my website design and css have been deleted or completely destroyed … what should I do now ??

Hello,
Did you have the footer stretch it?
Also, you can set the image width for the logo from here => https://i.imgur.com/ptOlM8F.png because I saw your logo have the width set on auto, and the logo size is 1024×205
Also, for text please you can set the width from the tab called “CSS” to 72% -> https://i.imgur.com/1EwBeAF.png and change the font size https://i.imgur.com/bRs2i05.png
Thank you!

To be able to optimize and to remove CLS and LCP please check these guide => https://developers.google.com/web/tools/lighthouse/ -> https://www.sqlpac.com/en/documents/google-pagespeeds-lighthouse-6-new-features-lcp-cls.html -> https://web.dev/lighthouse-whats-new-6.0/ -> https://web.dev/lcp/ -> https://web.dev/cls/
Please make sure to use our newest tool called tagDiv CSS Analyzer which comes in handy to resolve some of your issues. Take a look at the video guide here: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=tnkVapqhIHc
“This custom tool performs an automatic test to find missing CSS rules applied by user interaction. Moreover, you can manually interact with a chosen section/component from the page while the tool records all the involved CSS. It will generate the final CSS file for this page and also will split the rules in Critical CSS to be loaded in the website’s header.” ( https://tagdiv.com/whats-new-in-the-newspaper-theme-10-4-update/ )
We tested our tool on our demos, and we have such great results!
Take a look at this topic because it could help you: https://forum.tagdiv.com/topic/css-analyzer-step-by-step-and-doubts/
Also, please set width on the logo https://i.imgur.com/oSUDVIU.png or try to remove and add it again.
For mobile, you can use a mobile theme plugin or mobile page, which can help to have a better score for mobile, you can find more information in these articles

Also, you can try to optimize your images, for example, you can use the EWWW Image Optimizer plugin, also, you can try other plugins like Autoptimize
Thank you!
Hello,
The page speed is not related only to the theme that you are using, this is affected by plugins/content/ads/ external resources, etc.
I just checked your website and it looks that your images used on the map => https://www.screencast.com/t/YK8KTa7qT are not optimized, for example, you can use the EWWW Image Optimizer plugin, also, you can try other plugins like Autoptimize, but I am not sure if it works on the images from this map (you can contact the authors of the plugin and ask how you can set the height and width on images if you succeed then you will have a better score). Your website needs an optimal speed that’s why you need to make some settings also to help for the improvement.
Also, to increase the page speed you can check these similar topics for more solutions:
– https://forum.tagdiv.com/topic/optimize-script-to-improve-site-speed/
– https://www.infophilic.com/get-almost-100-pagespeed-newspaper-theme/
– https://forum.tagdiv.com/topic/a-few-tips-for-newspaper-x-speed-high-cpu-usage-issues/
– https://tagdiv.com/how-to-increase-page-loading-speed/
However, page loading speed can depend on many factors, and each website is unique from this point of view.
Let me explain some of these factors and maybe they give you some starting points for optimizing your website.
External factors: server speed, if you are using CDN or not, the external resources loaded by your website like ads, fonts, tracking scripts like Facebook Pixel, Google Analytics, Twitter analytics, Hotjar and so on.
Internal factors: the number of elements on the page, image size, image formats, if you are using mobile optimized layouts, console errors, if you are using the Standard Pack plugin on not if you are using PRO demo or a standard one.
Also, you can try to update on a staging website or subdomain the theme to version 11 and try our tool https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=tnkVapqhIHc
Our tool is running only on normal pages and not for posts or categories for example.

Hello,
It depends on the size of the screen, from what I see you have a lot of elements in the top bar, seems that the CSS that is used on the main menu on the top bar is stronger than the one used for the submenu.
Thank you!
Hi,
If you want I can provide a css, you can try a code like this one
body .td-big-grid-post:hover .td-module-thumb a:last-child:before {
display:none;
}
Set the code in theme panel> custom code> custom css.
Also the css file is on this path wp-content/plugins/td-composer/legacy/Newsmag/assets/css/td_legacy_main.css -> https://i.imgur.com/dHq7gnt.png
Thank you!
Yes i am aware of all these. I dont like any of these effects i want to remove them. Where in the css file can i remove them. I want my photos to show as it is. With no kind of overlay on top.
Can you please help me remove the totally
Hi IamLegend, what element did you hide ? Please let me know exactly the element and I will provide a css for it.
Thank you!
Hi azli, Please make sure that you have tagDiv Composer, tagDiv Cloud Library and tagDiv Standard pack enable (you can find them in Newspaper > plugins).
Also I saw that you have the latest WordPress version, v5.8, for the moment we do not have a theme version full compatible with it, we’ll make a theme update for this.
If the css was set in theme panel, then you can recover it from theme panel backups -> https://forum.tagdiv.com/import-export-theme-settings/
Also please make a test using only theme plugins and see if the problem is persisting when you save the theme panel settings. If yes, please use the console to see if you get some errors, if yes, please provide a screenshot to them, this will help a lot.
Thank you!
Hi, I found two issues after I upgraded the latest version of Newspaper
On the theme panel
1. I couldn’t save any latest changes.When I click the “save setting” button, the page load forever.
2. I found that my custom CSS, JS setting was gone.
Hi angelicantunes,
The button for edit the image is display only for users that are logged and have the right role to do it. If you still want to remove it, you can use a css like this one
.td-admin-edit {
display: none!important;
}
Set this code in theme panel > custom code > custom css.
Unfortunately, to remove the image title attribute there is no option, for this you need to use some extra code or some plugins, here is a similar question -> https://wordpress.org/support/topic/remove-image-title-attribute-on-hover/
Thank you!

Hi,
I have several issues with the current Newspaper 10 version
1. I have tried to set up the mobile theme for my website http://www.sweetsharing.com but it won’t show. The version showing on mobile is not the Vital set up by me. It fails the Core Web vitals and the Gtmetrix score is poor 50% while the desktop version score is 98%. (for pages)
2. Tagdiv composer Overloads my site with CSS and JavaScript making a negative impact on the performance.
3. The site breaks when I update the PHP version. I have to work with the older 7.3 version.
Pls reply urgently!
Hello!
Let me explain which options you have:
1. Responsive version: A responsive version of your website is looking similar like on desktop, edit the page with TagDiv Composer, click on the mobile viewport: https://www.screencast.com/t/XDQJedlggSB ; there you can see your mobile version and you can edit the elements there.
2. Mobile pages: https://tagdiv.com/newspaper-10-3-7-update-brings-customizable-and-fast-mobile-pages/
3. Mobile theme plugin: https://forum.tagdiv.com/the-mobile-theme/
If you want a responsive version for your mobile version, then you should uninstall the Mobile Theme plugin which has its own templates and your responsive version will appear automatically.
A full explanation you can find here: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=SpGkOnJeNZY
The CSS Analyzer is our automatic tool which is very useful for the page speed and unused CSS. Please read about it because it could help you to improve your website performance.

Hello everyone,
I am very new to WP and i have the following doubts.
How can i make newspaper theme on mobile? when i bought the theme i thought it would be mobile ready and there was no need to make mobile pages.
When i create a post there is a heading called CSS Analyzer, how can i remove it?
thanks everyone
Hi Bettina,
Thanks for the reply.
I require if possible please to add an extra class in Tagdiv composer or add some CSS to this ‘Single Related Posts’ element so that it randomly displays the other articles in the category instead of displaying the latest one created first?

Hi bilecikdostlari,
Indeed to optimize the website is not quite easy, we also use a few plugins for this (Autoptimize, Download
EWWW Image Optimizer, WP Super cache, CSS Analyzer from Newspaper theme), we use plugins cache, optimize plugins for images and so on.
Also for mobile version now we use the mobile page/template, but some users still prefer the mobile theme plugin. Both of theme provide better results then the responsive version.
Thank you!
