Wait, never mind, thanks for your help. I finally see the changes, after about an hour since the change was made to the editor-style.css file. I’m not sure why it took that long when I had deleted the cache numerous times between the changes and verified in so many other spots, but I guess this means that the changes are at leat instated, though delayed.

Also, this is how looking at the page source code looks, and it does not reflect the editor-style.css change I made: https://i.imgur.com/QfUF3sK.jpg

Sorry for needing to message again, but there’s definitely something wrong. This is what I’ve done:

1. Made changes to the exact location in the editor-style.css file: https://i.imgur.com/QIrZwQv.png
2. Deleted the WP-Super Cache cache (and deactivated the plugin as well later on).
3. Tried three different browsers, and an incognito Chrome browser so that cookies would not be a factor.
5. The result is always the same: https://i.imgur.com/NQvCfmf.jpg
6. However, when I ask a contributor to the website (and not an administrator/keymaster like I am) to see how the quotes appear when they’re creating a new post, the changes are reflected properly.

Would you know why that is?

Hi,
I received a message from one of my visitors that my website was showing a blank page for a few days. After he turned off Adblock Pro the site appeared like normal.
I found that Adblock’s EasyList was blocking ##.td-ad-background-link with ELEMHIDE, making my site load fine but making it look completely blank…
For now I’ve renamed the td-ad-background-link class in td_background_render.php and style.css, but is there a way to prevent Adblock from messing up the site completely when the background ad is blocked?

Hi,

You can try this custom css -> https://www.screencast.com/t/tlhjOitxcaih
.su-box .su-box-content .su-column-size-1-5 .su-clearfix {
margin-top: 25%;
}

Hope this will help you!
Thanks

Hi,

If you are using the header builder you can change that background color like this -> https://www.screencast.com/t/rb5EFVoH
If is not a header template for tagDiv Cloud Library you can change it only with custom css
-> https://www.screencast.com/t/xQZlNpiMUx
.td-business .td-header-style-1 .td-header-main-menu {
background: red;
}

Thank you.

Try to override that max-height, this would be needed in order to display a bigger logo.
Enter this code in the custom CSS section of the theme panel

.td-header-style-8 .td-header-sp-logo img {
max-height: none!important;
}

Then the logo image will not have a max-height. Or instead of none, use a different. bigger max height value.

Hi,

Then a CSS solution would work. For example a code like this will color all the excerpts for all blocks/modules at once – http://prntscr.com/mmovr4
Use the color you want in the code, then enter it in the custom CSS section of the theme panel

.td-excerpt {
color: black;
}

For the breadcrumbs try something like this – https://forum.tagdiv.com/topic/customizing-look-of-breadcrumbs/

Thanks

Hi,

Please notice that the speed of your website depends on how well your site is optimized.

Notice that is not a simple task and if you do not have any experience in this regard you will do not bring good results for the theme. Also, notice that we have a speed optimization tutorial but this is addressed only to advanced users. So, if you follow the steps which are presented in this tutorial here -> https://forum.tagdiv.com/how-to-make-the-site-faster/ you can increase the page speed loading and if you are not aware of the steps in this regard, please consider hiring a freelancer/developer to help you because the speed optimization services are not covered by our support policy, as you can read here -> https://forum.tagdiv.com/support-policy-2/ Check our documentation here -> https://forum.tagdiv.com/requirements-for-newspaper/ regarding on dedicated server to fit our requirements.

Unfortunately, our theme does not have such an option to minify the style.css file and we cannot recommend any plugins with this functionality because is not tested with our theme. For minifying this file, we are using CloudFlare for our demo and works fine. If you want to read other views from our users, please check this topic -> https://forum.tagdiv.com/topic/tip-how-to-easily-minify-your-css-without-breaking-your-site/
Also, check all of your Ad Spots and if you have entered any suspicious code through them, remove all of them and check the results without them.

One of our top members here on the forum wrote his own optimization tutorial here:
https://forum.tagdiv.com/topic/tutorial-chriss-custom-optimizations-for-functions-php-etc/ and here -> https://www.infophilic.com/get-almost-100-pagespeed-newspaper-theme/

Basically, these are the theme requirements
https://forum.tagdiv.com/requirements-for-newspaper/

Another useful guide for increasing the page speed can be found here -> https://kinsta.com/blog/google-pagespeed-insights/

Lately, Google Page Speed Insight seems to change the layout and is not always reliable.

Thanks for your understanding!

Hi,

If you want to remove that grey border, you need to use the code below and place it in Theme panel -> Custom CSS area.

The code is here ->

.td-header-gradient:before{
display:none;
}

Also, if you want to create your own header, you need to use the Header Builder and begin to create it according to the following documentation from here -> https://tagdiv.com/newspaper-theme-customize-the-header-manager/

Hope this helps!

Thanks for the message!

Hi,

So in the composer it is centered and in the actual website it is not, quite unusual. I could give you a CSS solution to center it – http://prntscr.com/mml7w3

Enter the code in the CSS section of the theme panel, check if it works

.td-g-rec-id-header {
max-width: 728px;
margin-left: auto;
margin-right: auto;
}

Thanks

Hi,

You can set different color with categories -> https://forum.tagdiv.com/category-top-post-styles-2/ also you can use custom css or tagDiv Cloud Library, there are some more options that allow you to change/build the templates layout, unfortunately this is non one of theme, sorry!

Thank you for your understanding!

Hi,

I could give you a code to increase the height of the logo, and make it display in the full size in which it is uploaded – http://prntscr.com/mmksv8

.td-header-style-3 .td-header-sp-logo img {
max-height: 120px;
}

The code can be entered in Theme panel custom code, CSS section.

Thanks

Hi,

It would depend if the mobile theme plugin is used or not, also if this is regarding the post title in the modules or in the single post page. It could be done with some CSS if you want to modify those elements just for mobile.

With the composer it would be easier, simply select the mobile mode and customize the font properties, for example in a page – http://prntscr.com/mmkjgu
Or in a cloud post template – http://prntscr.com/mmkk7q
That will only apply to mobile mode, you can customize the fonts per device.

Thanks

Hi,

So you enter code in the Live CSS and click save, but the code is not saved? What if you enter the code in the theme panel custom CSS section, does the same happen?

Code entered in both these sections will be saved in the database, for the purpose of not losing it after a theme update.

Thanks

Hi,

In order to set the capitalize Related Articles and more from author you’ll need to go in Newspaper>Theme panel>Translation write there the new translation -> https://www.screencast.com/t/Nj5Jk5Pq
for example -> https://www.screencast.com/t/2PwCjmb0 -> https://www.screencast.com/t/qKO5aflByh
In order to change the background color for those section you can use a custom css -> https://www.screencast.com/t/iepCGlcoNA

Hello,
i already edited phone and tablet portrait size in style.css (main style), like (767px to 900px) & (768px to 901px)
but when i add a ad box to sidebar or custom_ad_* isn’t affected by my new customization, i need phone screen width to be 0-900px, tablet portrait (901px-1018px) but isn’t, i don’t know why. Here a screenshot of my inspect element page.media query

I have the same issue. you can customize them separately by add a class name to the flex module that display the article, where the class name is the same of the name of the category. In this case with some css styling we can change colors.

unfortunately I can’t find a way to do that…. can you help me to modify the template?

thank’s,

Hi Simion,
Yes, I have noticed that flex blocks have that setting.
But I would prefer to set it just in one place – no matter which type of block I use. Using flex blocks in every single instance and having to configure it in each single flex block on each page individually would be a nightmare and is therefore not an option. I thought there must be a simple configuration I have just overlooked. If I have to use CSS then I will if you tell me where – but I guess that would mean changing the code of the theme and with a theme update it would probabaly be overwritten.

Do you at least have a simple solution for the breadcrumbs?

Regards
Stefan
