Hello themusic20202,
I do not exactly understand what you want to achieve with this code. Please provide more details about this case so I will be able to provide a more accurate response.
If you want to get rid the main menu for mobile, please try the code below and place it in Theme panel->Custom CSS area.
The code is ->
.td-mobile-content {
display:none;
}
The result you should see here -> http://screencast.com/t/dNiz3NQpHa
Thanks.
Hello jazarian,
Please notice that you can enable/disable these options from your Theme panel->Post Settings, like this -> http://screencast.com/t/Jkh4YhYN Also, if you want to only hide them, you have to use a bit of CSS code to do that. Please try the code below and place it in Theme panel->Custom CSS box.
.td-post-header .td-post-comments{
display:none;
}
.td-post-header .td-post-views{
display:none;
}
Thanks.
Hello twinkle4starms,
If you want to hide the authors name for your Big Grid 10, you will have to use a bit of CSS code to do it. Please try the code below and place it in Theme panel->Custom CSS area.
The code is ->
.td_block_big_grid_10 .td-post-author-name {
display:none;
}
The result you should see here -> http://screencast.com/t/voo5kO9lU6hO
For your second request, I suppose that you are referring to the sub cat more button which comes from your ajax filter, like this -> http://screencast.com/t/hP0xdbm9Wa5 So, if you want to hide it, please try the code below.
The code is ->
.td_block_4 .td-subcat-more{
display:none;
}
Thanks.
Hello usblsb,
Unfortunately, our theme does not have such an option that offer you a way to collapse your category description (look like the functionality of Read More button), sorry! As a quick solution, in this case, would be to use a bit of CSS code to achieve like this -> http://screencast.com/t/VELtttsvj
The code is ->
.td-category-description {
height: 100px;
overflow: auto;
}
Thank you for your understanding!
Hello shae101s,
First of all, I feel glad that you are excited by our new improvements for our theme and I want to thank you for your kind words.
Please notice that the fonts for our new mobile theme are loaded by default and do not exists any settings from our panel to change these fonts, sorry! If you want to change them, you will have to do only from code. So, you should try to check the style.css for mobile and then, you should use Search and Replace button to change the default fonts with your desired one by you, like this -> http://screencast.com/t/miaEOTvhL Also, if the fonts are not loaded on your theme you will have to add them using the @font-face attribute, like this -> http://screencast.com/t/wuk6OS2RaQs Please notice that this is not a simple task and if you are not aware of the steps in this regard, please consider hiring a freelancer/developer to help you because this service is not covered by our support.
For your second request, please notice that is the mobile behaviour for your theme and the light box was disabled from the code in order to make this feature being so fast and clear. Also, do not exist any options to enable this feature, because the mobile theme has not been designed to be used in this case. If you are unhappy with this behaviour for your mobile mode, you have to disable the mobile theme plugin and then the theme will be switched to the normal mobile responsive mode and there you will find that behaviour.
If you have enabled the mobile theme, the pages will be displayed in the simple mode and you can only add your desired text which will appear on your mobile view. Please notice that this simple core for the mobile theme has been designed for a fast page loading, speed, clean content and relevant information. Also, if you are using the mobile theme, your home page will not display you the original page but only the big grid and the related articles because the Visual Composer not working for the mobile theme, though. If you do not want to have this behaviour for your mobile mode, you simply disable the tagDiv Mobile theme plugin from plugins area, like this -> http://screencast.com/t/uoSa0R9CUL6 Also, if you want to change the filtering structure for Big Grid, please notice that you will have to alter the code from front-page.php, like this -> http://screencast.com/t/kDIW2lyabJ and this involve customization services and we cannot provide this at the moment, sorry!
For more information about our new feature, please check the documentation here -> https://forum.tagdiv.com/the-mobile-theme/
Thank you for your understanding!
Hi
This is the default functionality when Visual Composer it’s used on page template default. You can use page-builder+title and hide page’s title using this css in theme panel > custom code > custom css: http://screencast.com/t/Ykcl5S7kylOG
.page-template-page-pagebuilder-title-php .td-page-title, .page-template-page-pagebuilder-title-php .td-page-header.td-pb-padding-side {
display: none!important ;
}
.page-template-page-pagebuilder-title-php .td-page-content{
margin-top: 0px;
}
Thanks!
Update;
– Seems like something is blocking the JS or CSS
– deactivated wp-rocket and everything displaying properly now
– activated wp-rocket, disabled minifications and nothing changed but when i deactivate the cache plugin everything comes back to normal. the is what i have been using with version 6 of the theme
I tried to upload Newspaper to my site and couldn’t. It says the theme is missing the style.css stylesheet. What do I do?
Sorry for the delay in my response. I really appreciate your willingness to help. I would love to but the site is in development. We’re not launching yet. Here is a login for you to use and a link to the page:
block 14 is on the home page under the slider: http://www.techdocent.com
the login is here so you can view the website: http://www.techdocent.com/wp-admin

If you inspect the code, you will find the titles are above the row and behind the slider. I tried using CSS to fix. I am fairly decent and proficient using CSS but I couldn’t figure it out due to too many cascades.
You might know exactly why the issue. Thank you in advance for your assistance.
Kindest Regards,
Jason

Solved the problem after speaking with my hosting support. Filed for GoDaddy shared hosting, varies depending on which one you have.
And the second issue, related to another plugin, that compressed JS and CSS, and broke those sorting and load more buttons. If you use Autoptimize Plugin it does not work with those two features. Not sure why, but just a heads up to anyone else.
Hi Bogdan, I´ve used the code you wrote, copy and paste in theme panel -> custom css box
but it doesn´t work … why is that?
thanks again.
Thank you Bogdan,
These are the pages I’m working on – http://www.retainingteachers.com
The layout is close but the menu on the left doesn’t look like the nice menu on the Newspaper documentation. Does this come down to CSS or something else?
I did some change in style.css code and removed mobile-toggle and logo from mobile view. Now I tried everything to make them back but I haven’t succeed. Could you please help me how to cancel previous codes?
Ps. I can see mobile toggle in desktop view if I don’t limit the screen size by @media syntax.
Hi,
Thank you for your appreciation.
Well if you do not use the theme ad system, we cannot say for sure how the plugin implements the ads and where does the “lazy loading” come from. If there isn’t anything in the plugin settings regarding this, maybe you can find some sort of delay in the plugin files. unfortunately I cannot say what exactly to look for as it will be a total ‘shot in the dark’. Sorry. Maybe you can find some reference to this on the plugin website.

Hello mike6209,
If you want to change these default styles, you have to check your style.css and you should try to replace these styles with your desired font using Search and Replace button from your editor.
Thank you for your understanding!
Hi Catalin,
Thanks for your fast reply. Ofcourse we can understand, i think it was a simple setting, because it is in the demo theme.
We will try to change the .css.
Thanks,
Hello Jefferey,
First of all, thank you for your kind words and thank you for your appreciations.
For your first request, please notice that the News Magazine demo has own custom style and it is not a simple task to achieve this. For more information about how can be done this, please check the demo_style.css for this type of demo -> http://screencast.com/t/XFMXVP9Nf and try to implement yourself this style for our default demo template because these changes involve customization services and we cannot provide these types of customization at the moment, sorry!
For your second request, please notice that in order to achieve that symbols and fonts you will have to use Font Awesome 4 Menus. For more information about this type of tested plugin, please check our documentation here -> https://forum.tagdiv.com/how-to-add-icons-in-menu/
Please notice that our default demo uses the default fonts which are Roboto and Comic Sans and the font sizes depending on where it is used in the theme.
Thank you for your understanding!
Hi support,
When using Newspaper 7.01 with the latest version of Internet Explorer 11 (on Windows 10) I’m getting a very strange visual error. My site isn’t live yet, so I’ve created a small video for you to see for yourselves (linked below).
http://galacticbrain.com/Internet-explorer-newspaper-problem.mp4
Basically, every time the page loads, it appears that the mobile menu is trying to open – and it flashes across the header section, travelling right to left. Happens on every page load. Doesn’t matter what page is opened.
I’ve tried uninstalling all plugins (leaving only the ones you recommend) but this hasn’t fixed it. I’ve also removed any custom CSS, cleared caches, etc., all without success. I’m not running the mobile theme, just your inbuilt responsive menu in version 7. I also don’t use Visual Composer, so I know that’s not the cause. The site works fine on all other browsers.
Have you seen anything like this before in IE? Any suggestions? Is there any way I can override the mobile menu loading initially? If you think this is the cause? Have been trying to fix for awhile now and am completely stumped!
Any help appreciated. I can send you admin access if you need a closer look. I’m hoping it’s something you’ve seen before.
Thanks,
John
Hi, I’m glad you like it Mabrel, it’s actually just good old fashioned html and css. I don’t actually use VC on posts, I think I read somewhere that it slows the page down, not sure if that’s true or not.
I just cut and paste the html into the post and edit the link.
Hello anatoli076,
If you want to get rid the pagination arrows from New Sticker module, please try the code below and place it in Theme panel->Cuxtom CSS area.
The code is ->
.td-trending-now-wrapper .td-next-prev-wrap {
display:none;
}
The result you should see here -> http://screencast.com/t/9HeEz0si
Also, for mega menu block, please try the code below ->
.td_block_mega_menu .td-next-prev-wrap {
display:none;
}
The result -> http://screencast.com/t/epL3rRaN
Thank you for your understanding!
…OR instead of creating a whole new DIV class CSS, you can just change it to <div class="td-post-date"> since there is the built-in CSS in the theme for .td-post-date class that aligns everything in place.
Bogdan,
So, we have implemented a temporary fix – We have added a custom CSS to the theme panel which hides the mobile menu on the desktop site.
This is the code we added:
#td-mobile-nav, .td-search-wrap-mob, .td-visual-hidden {display : none;}
1st part hides the mobile navigation menu, 2nd part hides the mobile search box. and the 3rd part hides the text that is printed behind our logo.
The good news is the mobile version of the site is working very well, but unfortunately, the desktop version is distorted.
Now: I am going to implement the process you described and disable plugins and test it out. This will essentially break our site as some plugins are vital to the working, so we will do so in Maintenance mode and hope this doesn’t take too long as it will lead to traffic loss.
Hopefully, the CSS above will give you an idea where the mobile menu is coming from and help you get to the root of the issue.
If there is anything else you need, please let me know so that we can solve this problem soon.
Thank you.
Hello,
Well this is not a bug as we do not get this error at all on our end or on our live demo. The issue most people had with this was based on the old version of style.css (from newspaper 6) being served through cache and breaking the layout.
If this is not the case then please disable all plugins except visual composer and clear all caches in order to rule out a plugin conflict. Then activate plugins one by one and see which one breaks the layout.
If you still have trouble with this, please send us an email at contact@tagduiv.com and provide wp-admin sop we can login and inspect the issue directly.
Thank you!
Hello all,
Please try to use the method from this topic here -> https://forum.tagdiv.com/topic/how-to-deregister-js_composer-css-and-javascript-file-on-single-posts/ Also, please notice that this method is not tested with the mobile theme and we cannot say for sure if this will work or not as properly. Please notice that this request involves custom modifications and we are unavailable at the moment for this type of services. So, if you need additional customizations through code, please consider hiring a freelancer/developer to help you in this regard.
Thank you for your understanding!
