I’ve made a new installation of a site using v8. Everything seems great apart from the pages are taking a long time to load. It seems as if the page is looking for a missing file. The Chrome console reports as follows:

Visual composer not available, I bought Newspaper 7 last night and the options that were supposed to be available to me in the demo are not, the theme heath/fitness looks nothing like it did when I was transferred everything over, now I am stuck. Went into theme panel via wordpress “activate theme” and this is the error message that I am getting once I input the “server id” “envato purchase code” and “email”. I have also tried this manually and I am receiving the same error. I am assuming this is why it is not transferred over properly because I cannot “activate the theme”? Please help.

Big grid background is not full width after upgrade and i can’t stretch it. What are settings for https://demo.tagdiv.com/newspaper/homepage-video/ ?

Hi, I have a few sites on Newspaper v7.
What are the main compelling reasons to upgrade to v8? Looking at the demo site, they both look the same.

One thing I noticed in v7 was pages do not load properly, I wonder if that particular issue is now fixed in v8.
What about performance, has anyone done a performance comparison between v7 and v8 and can share their experiences.

I notice after this update a lot of users are in troubles and i think its necesary to explaint what to do in one unique post.

Every time tagdiv launch a big update, 1 to 2, 2 to 3, 3 to 4, 4 to 5, 5 to 6, 6 to 7, etc. everybody experiences a lot of issues because are a lot of differente code in the theme and everybody has different configurations and setups on your sites. Its impossible to made this kind of update just whit one clic.

In my experience this is the correct way to Update to Newspaper 8 in 7 Steps

1) Download the theme
2) deactivate every plugins
3) upload the theme via FTP and overwrite. Or set default wordpress theme, delete newspaper 7 and upload the new update.
4) activate the theme.
5) Go to theme panel and clic on install demos, now select your prefer demo and uncheck “include content”, then clic on install button. This will overwrite all settings and set the demo style on your site.
6) YES, you need to configure again your site whit your logo and preferences.
7) activate plugins one by one and check if some plugin produces some problem.

Thats all. You will have not problems ussing this mettod and just take 10 or less minuts

Now it is used only after you browse through megamenu on subcategories and return. Else items in megamenu appear instantly instead of slidein effect. I have 2 problems:
1) I can’t activate the theme, it gives me this error:
” Envato API is down, please try again later or use the manual registration”

2) I can’t install the Default Demo, it gives me this error:
“tagDiv importer detected an error. The importer will try to recover and continue to install the demo after you click ok on this dialog.

Steps to troubleshoot:
– Check the permissions on your upload folder
– Please make sure that WP_DEBUG is set to false in wp-config.php
– Contact our support via email contact@tagdiv.com (please provide your product license key)”

Can you please help me??

I want to use images and their captions in figure and figcaption tag. When I check one example from your live demo in themeforest I have seen you also used it like that. the code in the live demo is below:

However When I add images in post editor they appear like “<p>…”

My question: How I can use images in figure tag? Should I hardcode it everytime? is there a shortcode or sth like that for it? and the last one:) what/how is the reason for using this id=”attachment_1023″?

I’m using the demo News Magazine for my blog, but when I try to change the theme accent color from green (default) to red, the text color of “Related articles” and “More from author” in the bottom of article stay at the default color (green) even though the other already change to RED. could this be a bug of the Magazine demo?

What is the Author ID? is it the name my user profile?
Where is the description below it entered?
Where does the picture with a round border taken from?
