Just in case, recommend you doing a backup to be safer. Please keep in mind that if you change the files of the demo content, when you will disable it, all the additional customizations will be lost otherwise, if you have created other new page, post with the newest content, these will remain in your database.
Unfortunately, if you want to do an update from 4.x to 6.6.5 you lose all changes and you will have to clear your agenda and spare a bit of time to adjust all your settings to the new version of the theme.
If you have already Newspaper 6 and you want only to do the update to latest version, you should make this without any problem (be careful with your demo content). All your customization are recorded in the database which is not affected by this update.

Hi… I am newbie. After installing default demo. I checked there is blank block above menu and header. How to delete or fix it?
After installing newspaper theme i have installed Default Demo, then edited all pages and posts and created my sites, now newspaper status menu shows “Default demo – demo ID: default | install type: full” installed and its showing an Uninstall button near to it how can i remove my Demo installed status?

I have built my site based on one of the Demo’s so the demo is actually still active and installed. If I go ahead and apply the theme update, will I lose all of my changes and be reverted back to the demo defaults?
Alternatively is there a way to uninstall the demo while at the same time keeping my website design and content stay exactly the same?
I am worried that because I built the entire site on top of a demo, it will all be erased with an upgrade 🙁

I installed ‘Newspaper demos’ and changed the one article in Japanese.
Before changing it in front page like below (default demo).
“The model is talking about booking her latest gig, modeling WordPress underwear in the brand latest Perfectly Fit campaign, which was shot by Lachian…”
But now it shows whole article which does not cut off article after changing article in Japanese.
This problem is Japanese character?Can I show the post to be cut like this?
“あああああああああああああああああああああああああああああああああ…”

I made new categories for all our content and I want to display it the way it was in the demo settings in the Mega Menu and in the block below that.
How do I get these categorie filter options?
– for example in image of mega menu: All, newlook 2015, Streetfashion, Stylehunter, Vogue
– for example in image of Content Block: All, Stylehunter, Vogue, Health & Fitness, travel, Gadgets, More..

Top menu does not appear on mobiles , how to fix it.
you can check for it in the newspaper tech demo site too on mobile..it doesnt appear on mobile devices, as such such a nice menu bar gets wasted 🙁

Generally you import the “design” and NOT the dummy content!
So I’ve been scouring your documentation to figure out how to use the shortcodes you have in your demo like the tab, dropcaps, etc… But I cant seem to find a guide anywhere. Can someone point me to the right resource please? Or do I need to install another plugin like ‘shortcoder’

Hi,
Newspaper 6 is practically a new theme we have changed/added new modules and blocks and you will need custom modifications to change that. You can do this change in td_block_3.php file and set module 6(or other module) if you want – http://screencast.com/t/y9noDa2c8s86 but the module 6 looks like this in version 6 – http://demo.tagdiv.com/newspaper/category/module-6-layout/ Module 1 from version 6 looks almost the same like module 6 in version 4, only the thumb is a little smaller – http://screencast.com/t/epUeHxQHD2 – http://screencast.com/t/XnLDpbkU
I suggest to get someone to help you if you don’t have basic php/html/css knowledge as we are not available for custom services.
