I can’t for the death of me get my category title to show up on the pages. I have tried everything. I see in the demos that the category name is able to show up, what am I doing wrong? My site is kushca.com

So, make sure you’ve done all that. And adding the elements to your htaccess is good practice for ALL wordpress sites (all websites in general really), and the theme can’t fix issue with web hosting, caching, headers for expiration, et al.
Note also in his demo he’s not using adsense (Google Ads), recaptcha for comments, some social media hogs, or plugins that abusively insert additional not-needed CSS files in the header. SO, generally for your own speed optimization, presume to turn anything OFF which inserts bad behavior stuff (like, ironically Google’s own ad stuff much of the time).
But the page Radu has (linked above) tells you the basics of what he did to optimize the theme.

I’ve been doing alot of testing to increase pagespeed. By deactivating Revolution Slider I get 100/100 – 100/100 in PageSpeed Insights. When I activate it I instantly loose 20 points. Have you done anything on the demo to improve this?
Also, Seems snapmenu stopped working after i disabled/enabled it..

I’m working my down my list of improving my pagespeed. I’m getting closer but i noticed that the demo don’t have the same warnings. So there must be some way to improve it without doing coding đ

I would love to use something like homepage 3 demo, with slider but with sidebar as well. I used Homepage + blank and tried to force it using a Widgetised sidebar, but it doesnÂŽt have all the options like the normal widgets/normal sidebar.
Is it possible to do another way? The big slider is too big and unable me to use sidebar from the top down in homepage.

Is it possible to get module 9 for the homepage with the slider you get on the category pages with module 9? I want this to be the homepage.
It is now not possible because you can only get that slider with the pagebuilder + homepage with article list. The problem with that is that the sidebar is under the pagebuilder content instead of next to it and i can’t use the pagebuilder only because there is no block for module 9.

I bought this theme because i was impressed by the PageSpeedInsights. However, after doing a fresh install of WordPress and the Newspaper theme (with just the Demo content) I only get 65/100 | 75/100.
I didn’t expect 95+ but these numbers are not much different from other themes I’ve used. What am I missing here?

I have this problem – after installing the the demo posts are without sidebar. I made a page with visual composer with right sidebar and from static home page in customizer i connect it with the post, but there is no effect. Where is my mistake?

Hello,
You can use Module 9 or Module search to display the post from that categories. Set this from theme customizer -> Template settings on category template, or edit each category and set Module 9 or Module search.

The demo content is different from the demo site because from the site, content is huge, have a lot of posts, categories and you don’t need them. It will be difficult to clean the demo content, you have to delete all the posts, categories, etc. The demo data content is perfectly for a start point.

I am new to both WordPress and I was wondering if you could possibly point me in the right direction to most appropriately learn to update the content, layout and structure within the Newpaper theme I recently purchased. I know that you guys have an extensive listing of shortcodes; however, I do not see them referenced within the theme. Could you please direct me to this. Lastly, when I installed the demo content, I expected to see the same demo content that was visible on Theme forest, well I see now that this is not the case. Is it possible to download this? Hi, I am trying to have my site display as the blog example in the demo. Meaning 1 row of thumbnails post with the description on the right and the “Read More” button at the bottom. Somehow I can’t see how to create this with the building blocks but maybe I overlooked something. Can anyone tell me how to? Thanks in advance!
Not sure “stupid” would be the right word for how the theme is setup, IMHO.
Works great for us on our sites, especially for vertical iPad on Retina display which many many responsive themes get wrong, especially many Bootstrap 3 themes which lose the sidebar entirely on iPad/Retina.
That’s also typically why themes have demos on Themeforest so you can test their “stupid” layouts before you purchase đ
I see there are options to change the colors, but I can’t seem to find the option to create a boxed homepage like how it’s presented in the demo (http://themeforest.net/item/newspaper/full_screen_preview/5489609) on the left side of the screen (bottom option).
