Hello,
1)Te mobile theme plugin has compatibility problems with other plugins especially when activating it. Please disable all other plugins first and then install the mobile theme without other untested plugins.
2) Page speed needs the proper optimization made. It will not come automatically. Please follow this guide carefully: https://forum.tagdiv.com/how-to-make-the-site-faster/
3) Please try to use as little plugins as possible. You seem top be using many. Please follow this topic for speedbooster information: https://forum.tagdiv.com/topic/tinymce-advanced-and-other-various-disabling-speed-boster/
Thank you!
Please tell me it isnÂŽt so.
I have just upgraded to 8 from 7.something.
Main aim – to get the black theme.
Just had a hellish weekend dealing with the fallout, and now I discover the mobile theme, i.e. that used by over 50% of our readers, remains in white.
I totally get that the mobile theme is all about speed, but black isnÂŽt any slower than white is it? Usually faster if anything. Seriously, surely you understand that anybody wanting the black theme wants it for reasons of style and aesthetics? Surely if black wasnÂŽt available youÂŽd slap a big warning over the black theme, along the lines of ÂŽweÂŽll warn you now that it isnÂŽt compatible with the mobile theme so donÂŽt waste a weekend masking everything look uber cool in black only to find out it isnÂŽt, infact it will look a lot worse than it did before you started, because it has been designed for black but will be displayed on white. ÂŽSurely youÂŽd say that?
Tell me it isnÂŽt so, but as iÂŽve a horrible feeling you wonÂŽt be able to, point me in the right direction of getting the mobile theme compat with the desktop. i assume there is some css in the default desktop demo that flips everything to make it the black version of the default demo.
(please donÂŽt say carry on using the desktop version for mobiles if you donÂŽt like its features)
You need to optimize your site, theme can’t do that for you.
Did you read the documentation and re-render your images to fit the new layouts/modules? Are you using an optimization plugin for images, or re-rendering after setting lower compression in your wp-config file?
I don’t work here. But I have 90+ on my sites with no caching plugin.

https://forum.tagdiv.com/topic/score-100100-pagespeed-with-newspaper-wordpress-theme/
JetPack is hosted by WordPress; it’s not part of the theme; so issues with JetPack are not related to the theme, or any theme. It’s slow and a resource hog, and generally best to be avoided unless you have no choice.
Good luck!
Hi,
Page speed optimization has to be done by you, this depends of many factors. There are many tutorials here on the forum on this matter, that you can follow. Some examples
– https://forum.tagdiv.com/topic/score-100100-pagespeed-with-newspaper-wordpress-theme/
– https://forum.tagdiv.com/topic/newspaper-theme-speedify-your-website/
You can install this caching plugin with the recommended configuration
– https://forum.tagdiv.com/cache-plugin-install-and-configure/
You can use Cloudflare to speed your website
– https://forum.tagdiv.com/cloudflare-cdn/
There is also this guide to further optimize loading speed
– https://forum.tagdiv.com/how-to-make-the-site-faster/
When testing teh pagespeed, it is better to do it without having google ads and only essential plugins activated. Some plugins can have a negative impact regarding page speed.
Thanks
Hello,
1) Our theme does not have any options to archive old posts. This is done by wordpress and plugins.
2) Permalinks are changed from WP: https://codex.wordpress.org/Using_Permalinks the theme has no control over them.
3) Please use this guide: https://forum.tagdiv.com/how-to-make-the-site-faster/ and read this topic: https://forum.tagdiv.com/topic/tinymce-advanced-and-other-various-disabling-speed-boster/
4) The patch is not mandatory. The patch simply contains the modified files between versions. You can use it if you do not want to replace all files when updating your theme.
Thank you!

Hello mskssk,
Please notice that the speed of your website depends on how well your site is optimized. Notice that is not a simple task and if you do not have any experience in this regard you will do not bring good results for the theme. Also, notice that we have a speed optimization tutorial but this is addressed only to advanced users. So, if you follow the steps which are presented in this tutorial here -> https://forum.tagdiv.com/how-to-make-the-site-faster/ you can increase the page speed loading and if you are not aware of the steps in this regard, please consider hiring a freelancer/developer to help you because the speed optimization services are not covered by our support policy, as you can read here -> https://forum.tagdiv.com/support-policy-2/ Check our documentation here -> https://forum.tagdiv.com/requirements-for-newspaper/ regarding on dedicated server to fit to our requirements. For an example, you should check our demo preview because this website is optimized.
Thanks for your understanding!

Hello,
Yes it is normal. You can have THE most powerful host out there if the page speed optimization is not done properly.
Page speed has to be optimized. Work has to be done on it to work properly. There is no magical speed button to press and have great speed unfortunately :).
You will have to invest time and effort into it.

Hello :]
My site is: http://www.agentinsider.com.au – I am on the “personal hosting” with this company: https://wphosting.com.au/web-hosting/ but after bringing up the slowness I am apparently now on the “business hosting”.
But if you visit my site it takes so long to load… https://gtmetrix.com/reports/agentinsider.com.au/ADWmyXKb says 5.8 seconds but I keep checking on different friends phones and it takes about 10 seconds. :/ I want / need it to be 3 seconds – max 4 seconds.
Do you have any idea why this is happening? Do you think it should work fine on that hosting plan?
I have seen the tagdiv page on speeding up the website. I would like to know if you think it should be way faster than this on the hosting plan I am on.
Or is it more normal to have a SUPER powerful hosting account just to run the default Newspaper Theme?
Thank you [:
Hi,
Yes indeed both page builders at the same time are not compatible.
As for page speed please use this guide: https://forum.tagdiv.com/how-to-make-the-site-faster/
Thanks.
Hello,
1) Please clear all caching including a cdn server and contact your host and have them disable any hosting side cache.
2) Please provide a link to your site sop I can inspect the logo issue.
3) Unfortunately if you use the speedbooster plugin this can be an effect of it. Or any other tool that minifies css or moves the css load to the footer. There is no way around it. Either it loads first and you do not see the rewrites, or it loads last providing a faster loading speed for your site but you can see the rewrites happen. Css only provides a compromise for speed vs visuals. Unfortunately you cannot have both.
Thanks
I keep trying things in order to have more info to tell you and solve this issue faster.
I have tried to add an image without using Backend Editor, just adding an object trough wordpress editor and it’s working all fine.
All of this start happens when I updated from 7.8 to 8 version, and it happened to all my sites (I use Newspaper in all of them), so must be something wrong with that we can fix, because obviously is the same problem and due to the upgrading to v8.
Visual composer, WordPress, and all other plugins are up to date also.

Hello Aakash,
First of all, please notice that the W3TotalCache plugin is not tested with our theme and it seems to cause a lot of problems through the theme, sorry! You should use the WP Super Cache which is our recommended caching plugin.

Hello,
@votac, I have inspected your website on mobile and desktop version and your symbols seem to work as expected. Also, you can check our theme panel because there you will find a support option for Google Font settings, like this -> https://www.screencast.com/t/9RKre5KxH0s
@cmcromance, I have checked your website for all devices and it seems to work as expected. If you want to increase the page speed loading, you should check the following useful tutorial, like this -> https://forum.tagdiv.com/how-to-make-the-site-faster/

Hi,
The Speedbooster plugin is only active with a predefined list of plugins. There is a workaround to make it work at all times
– https://forum.tagdiv.com/topic/speed-booster-not-compatible-with-vaultpress/
More information about the Speedbooster plugin here
– https://forum.tagdiv.com/how-to-make-the-site-faster/
The Instant articles plugin is not tested with the theme at this moment, so it may not work properly. Here is a related topic that could be useful
– https://forum.tagdiv.com/topic/newspaper-theme-break-instant-article-characters/#post-173316
Thanks
Hi,
This can be moved in the footer with the Speedbooster plugin
– https://forum.tagdiv.com/how-to-make-the-site-faster/
The Speedbooster does a check before activating itself and if it detects plugins outside of a predefined list, it will not be active. This is the list of plugins
– https://www.screencast.com/t/GTc5n4JwTQ
Due to an oversight the tagDiv composer was not included in the allowed plugin list. The problem will be fixed as soon as possible.
There is a workaround that would allow to remove that condition, and make the Speedbooster work at all times
– https://forum.tagdiv.com/topic/speed-booster-not-compatible-with-vaultpress/
And then follow the instructions in the guide to move the desired styles to the footer.
Thanks
Hello,
You can try to increase your loading speed by using this guide: https://forum.tagdiv.com/how-to-make-the-site-faster/

Hello,
No worries, we understand the tediousness WordPress can provide at times. đ
If the page speed is still a problem, please use this guide: https://forum.tagdiv.com/how-to-make-the-site-faster/
And please read this topic as note on speedbooster plugin to learn about it;s compatibility function: https://forum.tagdiv.com/topic/tinymce-advanced-and-other-various-disabling-speed-boster/
Thank you!
You have to use file-ID to move css or js
For JS files â $this->move_js_to_footer(âFILE-IDâ);
For CSS files â$this->move_style_to_footer_queue(âFILE-IDâ);
To get File-ID add following code on theme’s functions.php file
function td_inspect_scripts() { global $wp_scripts, $wp_styles; echo 'registered scripts<br>'; foreach ($wp_scripts->queue as $handle) { echo $handle . ' | ' . $wp_scripts->registered[$handle]->src . '<br>'; } echo 'registered styles<br>'; foreach ($wp_styles->queue as $handle) { echo $handle . ' | ' . $wp_styles->registered[$handle]->src . '<br>'; } } add_action( 'wp_print_scripts', 'td_inspect_scripts' );
Refer: 5.2 To get the list of registered css and js https://forum.tagdiv.com/how-to-make-the-site-faster/
My site is slow. With the previous theme gtmetrix and google page speed returning values over 80%. With current theme (Which is most beautiful certainly) parameters is a 40-45%.
you can help me?
I’m installed a Speed Booster But Does not improve.(guide https://forum.tagdiv.com/how-to-make-the-site-faster/)
How do I see if she read my .txt file?
I think it’s not working.
i generate file and called optimize.txt. I upload into directory of plugin.
i insert into td-speed-booster.php this code:
$this->move_js_to_footer(‘optimize.txt’);
$this->move_style_to_footer_queue(‘optimize.txt’);
OR
$this->move_js_to_footer(‘optimize’);
$this->move_style_to_footer_queue(‘optimize’);

Hi,
I have set the Leverage Browser Caching as recommended in https://forum.tagdiv.com/how-to-make-the-site-faster/
However, all the .jpg and .png files such as header and mobile logos, images, etc shows:
.jpg (expiration not specified)
.png (expiration not specified)
How can I fix it?
Thanks
Hi,
For me your website is loading very fast, despite what the test is saying. Sometimes that is the case
– https://www.screencast.com/t/hJgG306yGIB3
– https://www.screencast.com/t/Llp6Jyqpwq
Please note that when testing the website it is recommended to disable all unnecessary plugins for a more realistic result. Some plugins can have a negative impact on page speed.
Here you can find more advice in this matter
– https://forum.tagdiv.com/how-to-make-the-site-faster/
– https://forum.tagdiv.com/cloudflare-cdn/
Also you can search the forum, there are many tutorials and information regarding speed optimization.
Thanks
