HI I BUY THE THEME NEWSPAPER AND I RENAME IT FOR SECURITY REASON.
I HAVE AN ISSUE
WHEN THE THEME NEED TO UPDATE IT HOW DO YOU DO TO INSTALL IF ACTUALLY HAVE A DIFFERENT NAME OF NEWSPAPER?
UPLOAD THEME WITH FTP OR FILE MANENER ?
Hi,
You need to deactivate that plugin; you can use FTP and rename it.
Thank you!
Hi,
If you want to update the theme, you should download the latest version of it from Theme Forest account and download it.
Please make a full backup to all files and database => https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=LAJXrSI-dDA
Here you can find information about the changes that have occurred in each update over time https://tagdiv.com/newspaper/
I recommend that you update the theme manually https://forum.tagdiv.com/how-to-update-the-theme-2/ via FTP/cPanel/File Manager, also if possible disable extra plugins during the theme update to avoid any problems that may arise and make sure that you have activated the tagDiv Standard pack plugin to keep the website’s look. You can try to update the theme on a staging website.
After you update the theme, you need to update the theme plugins too.
In the worst cases, the settings in the theme panel may be lost (there have been isolated cases), in these cases, after the theme plugins that were previously used are activated, you will have to use a backup for the theme panel -> https://forum.tagdiv.com/import-export-theme-settings/
Also, please update the PHP version to 7.4 or 8.0
Also, if you want, you can contact our custom work team here and they can help you to update the theme safely: https://tagdiv.com/premium-customization-services/
Thank you!

Yes, I used Updraft Plus to export the site and uploaded the files via FTP to the proper folder. Used the export theme settings and imported that as well as what you had just explained for the cloud template(appeared to be empty). The header logo is back, but the nav menu is not the same and the heading font is different. Inspecting the element on the old site shows the font used as Satisfy, yet on the imported site it shows a standard font.
I checked the header style and it is style 10 for both, not sure what is missing at this point. I alter my .hosts file so I can change back and forth to see the new site from the old. (not that it matters for transferring files)
Hi,
When you update, please use the main theme, not the child theme. Hello,
There are a lot of updates and I think it might be a “waste of time” to update the website with each version of the theme. You can also try to update on a subdomain or staging website and try to update the theme to the latest version and see what problems may arise. -> https://forum.tagdiv.com/how-to-update-the-theme-2/
You should download the latest version of it from the Theme Forest account

Hello,
In most cases, this problem occurs because you have the latest version of WordPress with an older version of the theme.
Please use the last version of WordPress 6.3.2 with the last theme version Newspaper 12.6.1 (if you have a theme version older, then tagDiv Composer does not work) and check to see if the problem persists.
If you need to make an update, before please make a full backup to all files and the database, in case something goes wrong. => https://forum.tagdiv.com/how-to-update-the-theme-2/
Here you can find information about the changes that have occurred in each update over time https://tagdiv.com/newspaper/

Also, make sure that all the settings are like in our requirements, please follow the guide carefully: https://forum.tagdiv.com/requirements-for-newspaper/
and please increase all requirements that are lower, and follow all steps.
Also, if the problem persists please check if you do not have a plugin conflict, please deactivate ALL plugins except tagDiv plugins, also if you are using a child theme or cache plugin, deactivate them, clear all cache (also from your browser) and try again.
Let me know the results!
Thank you!

So, I tested the TagDiv Newspaper Default theme with the Google Mobile Friendly testing tool. Screenshot of the Google test result
The test result: https://search.google.com/test/mobile-friendly/result?id=8M2iKKmwbUhHvAHJwHagRQ
This shows the video Outside the Viewport, and this is what the Google Bot is seeing and resulting in errors.
If we can fix this issue, it will help countless other website owners and publishers as well.
Hi,
From your screenshot on that website, you have a pirated license, and that is why you can reset it; what I can recommend is to do a fresh install of the theme and activate it with a valid license https://i.imgur.com/1xRc5vL.png
You can download the latest package from your account from Themeforest -> https://forum.tagdiv.com/install-via-ftp/

Hi,
actually I’ve already activated the theme without using php 8.1, so I cannot reproduce the problem anymore, but you should a more in depth testing over people that uses that version.
The thing is:
1. We have rewritten all wordpress files
2. we have cleared all Nginx proxy cache files
3. double checked all the php.ini configurations and wp-config.php files (the status section of the theme presented all results in green + all the settings where at least double of the recommended values)
4. using ftp we uploaded the latest version of the theme (before this removing via bash shell the entire Newspaper theme folder
5. using php 8.1 after double checking all was ok, we tried to register the theme, but the button was running in an endless loop, no matter what and the whole website has always running perfectly without ssl plugins for mixed contents (we already done via phpmyadmin all the double check that no URL has http content in it, the same way all the files, we double checked that any files has only http content in it > this is why we don’t use any http > https plugins)
6. After all the tests we decided to go back to php 7.4 as the problem doesn’t go away.
7. For your final tests, you should be able to reproduce the problem as like us we rewrited all the original wordpress contents (and double checked that the funcitons.php file contents was on it’s default content) …
You have now so many informations if you are going to investigate further, sry but I’ve invested already 6 hours in this matter and is far way too much time and effort for that I have not be payed for this …
Kind regards.

Best practices for favicon is to simply make the various sizes for different browsers and FTP them into the root of your domain, where the WordPress index file lives. This is then independent of any theme, or theme setting.
Hello,
Please update the plugins manually, delete the old plugins, and upload them via FTP -> https://forum.tagdiv.com/newspaper-how-to-update-a-plugin/ after activate them.

I managed to get my website back up just as it was before, had to alter some FTP files.
How do I activate the Newspaper theme without crashing my entire website again? I currently use Newsmag so I don’t understand how transitioning from one of your themes to the other isn’t as simple as clicking the “Activate” theme button.
I appreciate your help, thank you in advance.

You can use the WordPress editors – https://i.imgur.com/FIXKXaX.png and access the file path => https://i.imgur.com/6BHfbiD.png (set the code under the get_image to display that message under the featured image of the post) or a FTP/cPanel – https://www.wpbeginner.com/glossary/cpanel/
