Hello independentngr,

First of all, you should disable all of the untested plugins used but you because all of these can interact with the theme core files and cause a lot of unknown issues. Notice that this is the first steps on WordPress debugging. After this, you should clear all the caches and check the results. If the problem is still there, you should make a full backup to your database and then make a new clean install from scratch, via FTP way and check the results.

Thanks for the message!

a) see the theme docs on how to install, right side of page
b) presumably you have the zip files downloaded from themeforest? FTP is best way as you can make full backup of your files first; and you should be making a download of your WP dbase through
1) WP panel > export
2) phpmyAdmin/hosting panel > save/export Php dbase used for your site
3) make copies of any special settings for things like sidebar widgets, or custom code boxes used in prior theme — save out to text file
c) you will want to install the Newspaper.zip, not the ‘all files’ zip
d) the child theme is a child of Newspaper, not child of any other theme; meaning, generally you don’t need to use child theme unless you have specific reason to do so

(( I don’t work here; just some basic advice. ))

Hi,

The post settings box should be present in the screen options on the post edit page by default. First try disabling all your plugins except the ones provided in the theme package, clear any caching installed and check to see if this has any effect. Maybe a plugin is causing this issue.
Lastly you could try a fresh theme install and see if that fixes it

Thanks

Hi,

If the theme system status is according to the guide, please try and install the theme again using this method, maybe the theme did not install properly
https://forum.tagdiv.com/install-via-ftp/
Then activate only the tagDiv composer plugin, create a new page and edit it with the composer. If the issue is still present, please send us an email at contact@tagdiv.com and provide admin login information so we can take a look. Also paste a link to this topic in your email.

Thanks

Hello byalik,

I have inspected your website and I saw that you are using a lot of untested plugins which can interact with the theme core files and cause this errors. You should remove all of them, leave just required plugins to active and check the results. Also, if the problem is still there, you should try making a new clean install from scratch, via FTP way and check the results.

Thanks for your understanding!

Hello ntvweb,

I have inspected your website and I saw that you have some errors in your console, it is not using the latest theme version and also, you are using some untested plugins, like cm ad changer, which can interact with the theme core files and cause a lot of unknown issues. You should disable all of them, leave just required plugins to be active, clear all the caches and check the results. If you want to bring best theme results, I suggest you make a new clean install from scratch via FTP and update your theme to the latest theme version.

Hope this helps!

Hi,

That is a weird problem. I don’t know how the style file content could simply disappear. I have inspected your website and the theme stylesheet is empty. You could copy the style.css file from the theme package you downloaded, and replace the one in the main theme folder.
Or do a theme re-install using this method
https://forum.tagdiv.com/install-via-ftp/

Thanks

Hi,

@marijnvdgruiter First please try to disable all your plugins except the tagDiv composer, clear any caching installed then try again. You could also try a fresh theme install using this method
https://forum.tagdiv.com/install-via-ftp/
There should be no reason for the composer to not work properly on a clean install uisng only the plugins bundles with the theme.
If you still cannot use the composer, please send us an email at contact@tagdiv.com and provide admin login information so we can take a look. Also paste a link to this topic in the email.

Thanks

Hi,

@monoazulweb
It could be the case that something went wrong when updating the theme. Please try to reinstall it using this method
https://forum.tagdiv.com/install-via-ftp/
Then check if any problems are still present, while having only Visual composer active. It could also be some custom code, or a child theme that you might be using.

Thanks

Hi,

I have the same problem. I reinstalled via ftp, desactivated all plugin. In my case, the problem appear when I reactivate Visual composer bakery. You advise to rewrite the post on a new page entirely with td composer. Does it mean that we are obliged to make a redirection to the new page in order to avoid duplicate content ?

Hello easherri,

I have inspected your website and I did not saw any problem with it. Also, I noticed that you are not using the latest theme version -> https://www.screencast.com/t/3NkKTGHA. Did you downgrade the theme to this version? If you want to achieve best theme results, you should update the theme to the latest theme version (v8) via FTP way because this is the surest method in this regard. For more information about the transition between these two-page builders, please check the following tutorial here -> https://forum.tagdiv.com/visual-composer-tagdiv-composer-transition/

Hello all,

@Ankush
Das, please notice that our TD Composer has been designed to be used only with our theme and you should only use the required plugins which come bundled with the theme core files, without any other untested plugins and check the results. You should make a fresh install on a sub-domain via FTP method.

@Dominikks
, this type of error seems to appears when you try to edit your pages with TD Composer, pages which were created with Visual Composer. You should not do this. For more information about transitions between these plugins, please check here -> https://forum.tagdiv.com/visual-composer-tagdiv-composer-transition/

Hi,

We have not had similar reports of problems with the theme update. I don’t know what could be causing this kind of issues with your website, and also have an impact on the database. A clean theme install and using only the bundled plugins should work properly.
You could send us an email at contact@tagdiv.com and provide admin login information, as well as FTP access so we can take a look. Also paste a link to this topic.

Thanks

Hello dennisjpitocco,

Please keep in mind that the latest theme version was fully tested before releasing and until now, we do not have any bad reports in this regard, sorry! You should make a full backup to your database and try to create a new sub-domain with the latest theme version and use only the bundled plugins to rule out any conflicting plugins. This process should have done via FTP way because this is the surest method in this regard.

Hope this helps!

Hi,

Please make sure that the plugins are activated in the plugins section. They should appear in the page edit screen. You could try as a test to disable all your other plugins except the composers, clear any caching installed and check again. If nothing works you could try a fresh theme install using this method
https://forum.tagdiv.com/install-via-ftp/
And test while no other plugins are active as well. Please let us know how it goes.

Thanks
