Please make sure that you have correctly made you theme update to the latest version of the theme which is Newspaper 7.4. Also, try to disable all the active plugins, leave just Visual Composer to active, clear all your caches and install only the plugins that come bundled with our theme and rule out any conflicting plugins. I have inspected your website and I saw that you are using an older version of the theme, like as Newspaper 6.6.5. Please keep in mind that our theme has changed a lot until now and if you will have to bring best results you will have to update your theme to the latest version of it (Newspaper 7.4) with come bundled with the latest version of required plugins which is Social Counter 4.1 and Visual Composer 4.12.1. Try to update your theme via FTP because this is the surest method in this regard, according to our documentation here -> https://forum.tagdiv.com/install-via-ftp/ , clear all your caches, purge CDN files if you are using the CDN system and check the results. Please keep in mind that our theme is continuously developing and you will have to keep up the theme updatings to bring best results in theme.

Hi,
I’m trying to install the Social Counter plugin from the theme’s plugin download page in WP.
We activated the theme and are using the latest version.
However, the social counter plugin doesn’t install and we see this error:
Download failed: unauthorized. The plugin does not have a valid header.
We also tried to install through FTP but it didn’t work either.
Please let us know how to fix this,

Please ensure that you are using the latest version of the theme (Newspaper 7.4) with the most recent version of required plugins (Visual Composer 4.12.1 and Social Counter 4.1). Also, make sure that you have fully updated the theme via FTP way because this is the most precise method in this regard. I recently had a discussion with a google technician.
In particular I would like to notice that I did not used any structured data by purpose. Newspaper theme choose everything for me.

I really love your designs and have been using them for a while and intend to do so for many more years. I have a couple of issues/questions now:
1. Internal search on my site is not working. I get the following message whenever I make a search entry: wp booster error:
td_api_base::mark_used_on_page : a component with the ID: search is not set.
………/wp-content/themes/Newspaper/includes/wp_booster/td_api.php
2. I use a pretty old child theme, is it also necessary to update the child theme if its too old? Or is there such a thing as outdated child theme?
3. Since I updated to 4.7, I can’t see mobile theme active on the theme panel. I updated the latest one through FTP since you announced an issue with Yoast Seo, but it is still not working.

The theme is carefully tested and there are no malicious codes or files in its patch. Also envato check each new version before approval. Try to download a fresh copy from themeforest, deactivate all plugins, except Visual Composer, then try to update the theme again following our documentation. We recommend to make the update via FTP as it’s the best way of doing a clean update: https://forum.tagdiv.com/install-via-ftp/

That file is located in wordpress root folder and to access it you will need to login on the server via ftp. Try to login on the server using a ftp client program like filezila, navigate to your wp-install folder and you should find .htaccess file there.

Please try to restore the theme to it;s default state. That means downloading the theme files and replacing the file which you changed from the theme files via ftp. Then clear all caching and test again.

Current version of Newspaper theme if V 7.4 available now on themeforest. In theme’s path is also included V 4.12.1 of Visual Composer. The best way to make a clean update is via FTP method for both theme and plugin. Follow our documentation to update the theme via ftp https://forum.tagdiv.com/install-via-ftp/ and do the same with Visual Composer plugin.
