Hi,
The link you have provided is not valid
– https://www.screencast.com/t/cEsjx6BSdgR
However you can set any page you want as homepage. This is done in WordPress settings
– https://forum.tagdiv.com/homepage-how-to-build-and-set-it/
Thanks
Thanks Simon,
That worked beautifully for the icon, how about the bar? The icons only show that way on the homepage, if you go to any post page, it’s a solid blue bar for Instagram, and it would be nice to have that bar be orange/pink as well.
Thanks,
Michelle
Demo: https://thich.com
After I turn retina setting on, I was using plugin to regenerate the thumbnails too. I already clean up browser cache.
Images are smaller then div block

And images are not showing the same size, even they are same block.

And homepage latest articles ( at bottom website ), I am using m16, and the images are not clear at all. its blurry, i see it using 150×150 size.
Thanks you
I have one page only, and I can edit it, everything goes fine. That page is displayed on URL http://dev.mega-media.hr/megamedia-test/. But when I visit http://dev.mega-media-hr/ there is no option for tagdiv composer. I want this to be my homepage and I want to edit it, how do I do it?
Hello,
It probably means the homepage has some code that prevents the proper functionality of the theme. You will have to recreate the homepage on a brand new page in such cases.
Thank you!
Hi,
Breadcrumbs will display a path to the article, usually this is Home->Category->Article title. In this case the blog page is in no relation to either the home or the categories, so it will not be displayed in the path. That would happen if you set the blog page as homepage.
Or maybe if you disable the theme breadcrumbs and use a plugin to display custom breadcrumbs. There could be breadcrumb plugins with more advanced settings.
Thanks
Hi, thanks for your reply.
sidebars are enabled on my templates so ready to go. (however i dont see sidebars when going to the widgets section of the regular wordpress panel – is this a problem?)
starting with my website homepage, i would first need to create a 2/3, 1/3 look to enable the sidebar to go into the right hand side 1/3?
I can see the widget sidebar option when using the composer. So i would ddrag that into the right hand side 1/3 space first yeah? and then populate the sidebar with the various things i want such as social counter, popular articles etc etc?
I have installed the same demo you mention, the global medicine. I then proceeded to edit the homepage with the tagDiv composer. Each element that is added with the composer can be edited with it.
Only the Latest articles and it’s sidebar cannot be edited with it. The latest articles section is displayed because of the selected page template
– https://www.screencast.com/t/MrrhItZlzaBL
Also the sidebar of this section is set there.
Other than this section, everything in the page content can be edited with the composer. If you could mention what elements exactly you are having problems with, it would be helpful.
Thanks
Hi.
My website’s url is sciencegasm.com. The upper part of the homepage is custom designed but the lower part is page + loop + homepage sidebar (different from the default sidebar). This part of the page shows navigation that if clicked leads to page-2, etc. The homepage sidebar shows at page-2 as well. Here is what I want to do:
I want to hide a specific widget (social icons) from the homepage sidebar but only in the homepage, not other pages (page-2, etc.). I was trying various css codes but couldn’t manage to solve it.
Could you help me please?
So my tagdiv composer is not working. When I try to use it on my homepage it just keeps loading and loading and spins in a circle but never loads the content. It works on my other pages. It just doesn’t work on my home page. How do I fix this?
Thanks. So if I wanted a section on my homepage that lists current news from around the web, I would have to edit the page each time?
Is there a more efficient way to do this (in the same way it’s easy to do with posts)?
Hello everyone,
First off I’d like to say I love the theme and I’ve been using it religiously for almost a week now to build my website http://chennaiesports.org
The TagDiv Composer is amazing and I’ve had a lot of success with it, but there are certain places where I just hit a complete wall and I’m lost.
Here’s one such issue.
I’ve been using TagDiv to show my Twitch and Discord images on my homepage using the TD Composer’s Client button (I know it’s strange, but it’s the only one where I found I didn’t need to mess with any additional CSS because I don’t know any.) While this has worked wonders as you can see -> http://www.screencast.com/t/tGdvtBzXemRp this option is only available on the TD Composer.
I’ve been trying to replicate this sidebar for posts but I cannot achieve the same look. Instead I land up with this -> http://www.screencast.com/t/r4mYFv8a7
This might be a very silly reason, but I’m legitimately all out of ideas for the same. Please help!
Also, alternatively, if there was a way to import Twitch and Discord icons on the Tagdiv composer’s Social Counter option which is available under widgets too, nothing would make me happier.
PS : I do not know any CSS whatsoever. 🙁
Thank you for your assistance.
Hello,
How is your homepage built? If you use blocks in the page builder, note that you can sort each block individually using this guide: https://forum.tagdiv.com/block-settings-guide/
Thank you!
Hello,
You can import pages into the tagdiv composer even if previously built with another page builder but in most cases you will face issues of shortcodes and with elements specific to that page builder. The elements will still have to be replaced with tagdiv composer element for the page to look ok.
No matter if you use 2 page builders alternatively, some elements break dues to the code implementation of both page builders ta the same time. Simply keeping them active and not using any of theme will result in incompatibility and break the layout in some cases.
You simply create a new page as you want it to be adding elements in the page builder and then set it as a homepage in the wp settings. Please use this guide: https://forum.tagdiv.com/homepage-how-to-build-and-set-it/
Thank you!
Hi,
Let’s take them one at a time. On the homepage from what I can see, currently there are no theme elements
– https://www.screencast.com/t/ChCZY8Q7Lb
So any font there in the page content cannot be changed through theme settings.
Next the post title font on the module (blog page)
The font loaded I believe is what you wanted, it seems to be the general font set here
– https://www.screencast.com/t/mS0sxl2iQE
That general font setting is overridden by the individual font settings, by module (that is module 12 you are using)
In the post page the article title seems to be set in general as well
– https://www.screencast.com/t/5il52AwRj
Each individual post template can have it’s own font for the article title in the post page. That post template is post template 10, so it would be here
– https://www.screencast.com/t/n5uPXKgGL
On category page, the page title font settings are here
– https://www.screencast.com/t/EStYBmOitNsm
If I misunderstood or forgot something, please specify exactly which elements you are referring to, and I will take a look.
Thanks
Hello Juusuhako,
Yes, this is the same theme behavior for the homepage which has a sidebar. On mobile devices, this one will fall down under the main content.
Thanks for the message!
I set some on my site using several hacks (but only for the current item, for example, when you click on a category in the header menu). But if you mean different colours for the categories when in the homepage, then for that I tried testing my site with inspect element in chrome, and the suggestion I have would only work if you provide your site link for further inspection, or wait for the tagdiv team to assist you on Monday.
1. Just noticed when my homepage comes up in search results it looks like this. You can see the long line of snippet text going off the page. My text is good in Yoast, and I couldn’t find snippet text option – perhaps “Pages” don’t have that. Any fixes for this?
https://pasteboard.co/H633A0e.png
2. When searching the text looks very large. Where do I change the size of search preview text.
https://pasteboard.co/H635jzu.png
Thanks as always guys.
I am fully aware you are saying in the TagDiv Composer update guide not to use the TagDiv Composer on an excising page build in Visual Composer. Regardless this, I tried to do it on the homepage of my test blog. I open the page in TagDiv Composer, edited something and saved it. I looked about 90% fine; I had to remove and add Revolution slider and do some smaller adjustments adding empty spaces. Is this shortcut totally stupid to do, even if the page looks OK after some small adjustments using TagDiv Composer?
If I cannot use the shortcut described above, I need to re-build all 10 pages build in Visual Composer. That will take some time. You also recommend not to have TagDiv Composer and Visual Composer installed at the same time, but if I am really careful regarding which page opened in which composer, is this OK? Or is the problem related to technical issues having two different composers installed at the same time?
If I have to re-create all pages; how do I set a page as the homepage? When originally creating it using Visual Composer I did a copy of the content in my demo, and edited the existing one, so I have never created a homepage from scratch.
How can I turn off the bottom portion of the homepage that auto populates when I used the default theme? It’s the Latest articles section.
Hi,
why there are a div in my homepage with this code? I’m not logged-in on wordpress, what this need?

How do I just get a simple mega menu like in the Newspaper default preview under “homepages” mega menu? It’s defaulting to the images sub menu and I’m not sure I want that.

Hi,
Thank for your reply.
I managed to resolve the logo issue, I think it was something with making the logo sticky. Right now it’s not sticky, and it’s displaying correctly.
Regarding the fonts, as I said, I tinkered a lot with the backend font settings. I wouldn’t write if I hadn’t checked.
For example, on the current frontpage, for the the life of me, I can’t find which one is changes the image titles (not the homepage post). It’s set as 46 px and 37px line height, I cannot nothing that matches that. This is just one example.
Other Examples:
– Homepage > Image block titles
– Blog post >Title
– On Category page > title and body
– in post editor (in backend) the font is different vs. in preview
Maybe it in the modules MX etc. part where I can find my answers, but they’re not marked what does what.
So I’m still stuck.
Hi,
I’d like to create a section on the homepage of my WordPress site that has links which point to recent news articles from around the web (they are not posts on my site). What is the recommended way of doing this?
Thanks
It’s 2018, and by this point I’m hoping someone has this figured out!
First, we all know that Google AdSense ads cannot be placed in a “floating” box, so we can’t use the feature TagDiv calls the “Smart Sidebar” with those ads.
Second, we all know having a big empty space at the bottom of our sidebars is BAD since readers often look for something else to click on when they are done reading.
While I do have other non-adsense widgets to put on the bottom, I can’t find a way to make the stay at the bottom while the adsense widgets scroll with the page using TagDiv’s Newspaper Theme.
So how do/did you go about solving this?
– Is there any way to add Ads to the single post template that will appear not in the article itself but above the sidebar widget, and scroll with the page?
On the homepage builder you can add Ads, blocks, and a Widget Sidebar to the side of the layout, but after much searching and reading many documents I can’t see how this could be done on a single post or by editing the single post template.
– Is there any way to have two sidebars on a single post – a default on top and second a “smart” one on the bottom?
My searches turned on this turned up nothing 🙁
– Is there any way to stick or make smart just certain Widgets?
I tried Q2W3 Fixed Widget but the widgets disappear 🙁 No other free widgets seem to be available.
