I have checked your site’s homepage but did not see the issue you mention. You do not have a static page on your site at the moment. The homepage blog simply adds a big grid and a quote on the page content and then you need to populate the rest of the content using the latest articles page template from here: http://screencast.com/t/MZiyXltHpBch
The latest articles page template will add a post loop you can control from the loop settings on the page here:

Actually, if you want to use the ‘Homepage post’ element from Visual Composer to your category page, please notice that you will have to use the do_shortcode method in order to achieve as you wish. First of all, you will have to create the shortcode using the Visual Composer editor, like this -> http://screencast.com/t/7lbVJ3Fm2Sz -> http://screencast.com/t/VM5LKmMUv0i -> http://screencast.com/t/LO6nrg2cHM1o and the snippet of the code which has to be added in the corresponding category post style used by you are the following code ->

How do I show a specific category on the homepage when there is more than one category for posts.
Example, a post of mine would be included in 3 categories: (Lifestyle, News, Politics) however, as you can see, on the hompage, it shows “Lifestyle” when I would like to have it be “News” instead.

At joshrachlis.today, I installed the “Homepage-Blog” template, which is the basic blog template, and it just puts my last 2 posts at the top, but then there is nothing after it. And in the demo, it shows that there should be all my posts afterward. Is this template just not working? Is there another one that does the same thing?
It happens on various blocks. For example, when I add Block 20 to the homepage using Visual Composer, I specify that section to filter using the category “Lifestyle”. However, other categories (not subcategories, but random categories) appear under that section.
So, the filter should be Lifestyle, but world news articles are appearing.

I try with style 6. But I’m not sure it is as “Homepage post” element within Newsmag theme.

Please notice that all of these changes could be done when you edit your homepage. There you will see all the ROWS and the COLUMNS and you can add anything you like. Also, if you want to change the banner you will have to edit the Revolution Slider content. I have just updated to 3.1 and on the homepage close to the article box what is like a comment box with 0 as number has appeared next to all of the blox. This also create a duplicate URL with the termination #respond which is bad for SEO. I have tried to deactivate comments from theme setup yet this is still showing on homepage. How can I remove those?

I am sure that this issue is probably very easy, but I am going to ask it anyway. In the Newspaper 7 Default Demo, the top bar and the footer extend all the way across my screen. I am trying to make a custom homepage myself. For whatever reason, my entire page seems to be on an over-arching background of white. The result is, for instance, that the top bar and the footer don’t extend from one side of my monitor to the other, like they do in the demo. Instead it is like you shrunk the whole display and put it on a background of white. Help please!

1) Footer on mobile and desktop is different, it loads a different kind of footer. How it’s possible?
2) The homepage on mobile doesn’t load the sidebar on bottom
3) We loaded a custom font. On desktop is loading fine but on mobile is not working.

I have a custom page set for homepage, i built a page in visual composer but at the end of the homepage “NO COMMENTS” title appears.
