Hi,
1) Please update the social counter by disabling the one you have now and deleting files and installing the new plugin version which comes with the latest theme version. You must have social counter version 4.0 for it to work properly
2) There is no official soulution for adding new social icons but you can try to replicate this method for adding a new social share option: https://forum.tagdiv.com/topic/add-a-linkedin-button/
3) The name of the file must be the same as the one in the main theme. your file is named functions2/.php
4) Same as 3
5) There are lots of plugins not compatible with speedbooster that people use. We have no alternative to provide but there is this workaround: https://forum.tagdiv.com/topic/tinymce-advanced-and-other-various-disabling-speed-boster/
6) The cropping of the featured images is different for all post styles you use. There are a total of 14 post templates to chose from: https://forum.tagdiv.com/post-templates-2/
7) The homepage is the most customizable area of our theme. You chose from a total of 25 content blocks: http://demo.tagdiv.com/newspaper/block-1/ and 12 big grids: http://demo.tagdiv.com/newspaper/big-grid-1/ among other elements.
Please read the documentation here: https://forum.tagdiv.com/newspaper-theme-documentation/
8) APC is different from a caching plugin and it is compatible with sp super cache APC is a cache for PHP: http://www.inmotionhosting.com/support/website/what-is/speed-up-php-with-apc
9) Please contact your hosting provider and make sure compression is allowed/enabled from the server side.
10) Those are alternative methods. Use one or the other, not both
11) Speedbooster is for advanced users only. You placed the js inside the style css part. Please read it again and check the screenshots to see where to places css and where to place js blocks.
12) For a smart sidebar please read this guide: https://forum.tagdiv.com/smart-sidebar-2/
13) You can use a redirect to send the user elsewere if he clicks the author name: http://www.wpbeginner.com/beginners-guide/beginners-guide-to-creating-redirects-in-wordpress/
Thanks
Hello. Visual Composer Javascript and css file are too large (about 0.8 MB)
But i only need them for my home page, not all pages such as single posts, tags.
How can i only active visual composer on homepage and disable them (or redegister js, css files) on single posts?
So i can speed up my site very much
Thank you
Hi,
If you do not want to have the boxed version, you cannot add a background to your site, except for the whole thing. There will not be 2 colors on your homepage as there will be only 1 container. The background color adds another container to the site a td-outer-wrap that will not be there if no color or image is set in the theme panel, so there can only be one background across the whole content: http://screencast.com/t/EO3LQxWBGGzZ
Thank you!
I’ve tried both solutions, no luck.
It has the same behavior as Thisguyhere described.
It happens only on homepage, and initially it’s displayed centered for a split of a second and then floats left.
I’ve tried to look also for the solution you gave him but I don’t find that code.
Can you please help?
Can you please guide me?

Hello,
I would like to ask you to help me. I have Visual Composer 4.9. This addon is ok, but after WordPress 4.5.2 update I don’t see editor on my page post option. I can’t do any changew on my homepage :(.
When I click to backend editor I go on this site: https://vc.wpbakery.com/?utm_campaign=VCplugin&utm_source=vc_user&utm_medium=backend_editor
Catalin.
I complied with your recommendation + theme updated to version 7.0.1. No changes.
BUT! Everything is OK with a menu color only on the homepage of the site (pupsek.com). On the pages and posts all the exact same problem.
Hi
I love your theme.
But find there is a lot of space between some elements.
I want to reduce these space that people see more things when there arrive on the homepage.
I tryed to put all block elements at 0px in Visual Composer but it change nothing.
I suppose, I could do that with CSS in the theme panel.
How could I do that for each of the element I listed (put 5px for each for example)?
Regards

Hope you got my point !
Am new to wordpress , please don’t mind if it is a simple question !

Hi, I have created this page to do a mega menu: http://marquetingbox.com/ielektro/secciones-mega-menu/
It works when I’m on the Homepage, but not in the other pages!! That banners are made with the premium plugin “Ultimate Addons for Visual Composer”.
Anyone can help me? Thank you
Hi Catalln,
That did the trick you were correct i was on PHP7. I dropped down and that issue is solved. However i still get one error
Function in /homepages/27/d479510947/htdocs/transportrail/wp-content/plugins/dpProEventCalendar/functions.php on line 1321
Im guessing though that i will need to contact the 3rd part plugin dev to look into this.
Many thanks
Dave.
No, I am aware of the page settings. What I am looking for is to have the pagination for the block on my homepage to display the page numbers and the “Page X of X” statement as it does on category pages. This is for the listing of posts or articles. A sample of this is shown on the png file file attached to the first message gllean within this thread.
The “Next Prev Ajax” setting in blocks now only displays 2 small arrows and does not display page numbers. That setting is fine and I use it for other blocks, but I would also like to be able to have a pagination setting that displays the page numbers as well just as it does on category pages.
Hi,
1) You can do this for blocks on pages but not on category grids unfortunately. The theme has no filters for category elements.
2) On the homepage you can include every element in the way you want it, not only a top post grid but a grid in any place that you want on that page. You can create a page in visual composer adding elements from here: http://screencast.com/t/BZ6aLcTelSG8 – http://screencast.com/t/agPedJs54CD
There are 25 blocks and 15 grids to chose from
You can see a demo representation for each one here:
http://demo.tagdiv.com/newspaper/block-1/
http://demo.tagdiv.com/newspaper/big-grid-1/
Hope this helps.
Thank you!
Hi there,
I also have the same problem
Deprecated: Methods with the same name as their class will not be constructors in a future version of PHP; WPAlchemy_MetaBox has a deprecated constructor in /homepages/27/d479510947/htdocs/transportrail/wp-content/themes/Newspaper/includes/wp_booster/wp-admin/external/wpalchemy/MetaBox.php on line 58

I have done as suggested above and i still cannot log in to wp admin panel. Site works fine just cant get in.
Im not going to update my second site yet.
Good Evening,
Sorry for the trouble but I have a couple of quick questions I would appreciate some help with.
1) I love the options for the different top-posts grids. While I know you can have individual grids for each category, I was just wondering if there is any way to limit these grids to posts with particular tags. Lets hypothetically say I only wanted them to display posts tagged “Review” and “Interview”. Is there any way I would be able to do this?
2) On a similar topic, and sorry if I completely missed this in the manual, but was just wondering how we can include the top posts grid on our homepage?
Thanks and warmest regards.
Hi,
Please read a bit about the mobile theme here: https://forum.tagdiv.com/the-mobile-theme/
It adds another mce editor for the pages and ALL the pages except the homepage need to be created in this editor to display on the mobile theme.Basically there will be 2 versions of each page. The desktop one you already have and you have to create another one for mobile without using VC. The mobile theme does not use visual composer in order to provide better loading speed.
Thank you!
I edited my homepage http://vietnamtraveladvice.com/. But I can not delete: Latest Articles (Bottom of Page in Homepage).
Help me. Many Thanks.
I also would like the block on my homepage to list the pages as shown in the png attached above. The pagination for the post listing within category pages does indeed display this way. Is it really that difficult to have a block display the pages like the category page does instead of just 2 arrows that are rather difficult to see? Seems like a copy/paste of the code from the category page would work or am I way off here?
We are currently using NewsPaper Theme version 6.7 and want to upgrade to NewsPaper Theme version 7.0.1 We followed the steps for updating the theme using the FTP method from this link:
https://forum.tagdiv.com/how-to-update-the-theme-2/
After the upgrade the site breaks. The homepage does only shows our categories in the top left then the header for the site is shown. Seems like there is a CSS issue. Our child theme has only two files (style.css and functions.php). We are not sure why this is happening.
I disabled all of the plugins except visual composer and I do not use any caching on my website. I did clear browser cache etc. No luck. Still the logo is floating to the left side only on the home page. The only difference between the homepage and the others is the layout/ grid style.
In google chrome when the page first loads I can see the logo in the center for a split second and then it floats left.
Hi,
@Thisguyhere,
It’s the same problem as above, Please disable all plugins except visual composer, clear cache and reset cdn files if you use it. Thenn check your homepage again without the plugins.
@Andrei,
There is no other way to install a demo besides the theme panel. Please try to install a different demo and then install the classic blog. If this fails, maybe the customization you made broke some parts of the theme so please also do a clean install via ftp and start fresh. Your content will not be lost as it is kept in the database.
Thank you!
Hi,
In the theme panel, you will find a new tab if the mobile theme is activated: http://screencast.com/t/vBRuvrVbUhTe
Please keep in mind that the mobile theme uses a predefined homepage you cannot change from the theme panel as it does not use visual composer at all. Your other pages besides the homepage (if they are created in visual composer) will not display anymore as you need to create a mobile version for theme as well using the second mce editor in page settings.
You can read more about the mobile theme here: https://forum.tagdiv.com/the-mobile-theme/
Thank you!
Hi,
Please check your post and homepage in text mode as open html tags can also cause this issue. The sidebars will break if html tags are not closed properly.
If you still can;t get it to work, please sen us an email at contact@tagdiv.com and provide wp-admin so we can inspect the issue. Please also include a link to this topic so we can identify you.
Thanks.
Hello,
I have a problem with the theme responsive smartphone.
when I connect to my site from the smartphone with a screen
the written :
“Oops … Error 404
sorry, but tha page you are looking for does not exist.
you can go to the homepage ”
how do I fix?
Thank you.
my site: http://www.occhiodifalco.net
Hello,
Thank you for your appreciation.
1) Please install visual composer as the plugin is required dor the theme elements to work properly: http://screencast.com/t/NvYhYEWfc
2) The form seems to be working properly from my end. Please check it again. http://screencast.com/t/KYTifjaH
3) If you use the mobile theme, then things are a bit different here as the mobile theme does not use visual composer in order to get good loading speeds. You cannot esit the homepage as it’s predefined to show only a big grid with featured posts filtered (yopu need to add them to the ‘featured’ category ) and a latest articles element. All your pages that have been created using visual composer will have to be re-created for the mobile version using the secondary mce editor you can see in the back-end. basicaly you will have 2 versions of your pages.
4) You can add google ads in our theme through the theme panel: http://screencast.com/t/vnCFbKnvY
You can read more about ads here: https://forum.tagdiv.com/header-ads-adsense/ – http://screencast.com/t/zGPK6QyR
Thank you!
