The featured images are cropped in a weird way and I cannot seem to figure it out. I want the featured images on the homepage to be scaled down to fit the space rather than be cropped at all.

2.
The header ad is cut off by the theme. I have tried all different options for sizes but its always cut off. Currently its on auto size from both the adsense code and the theme settings but is still cut off.

How would I go about getting rid of the excerpts under post titles on the homepage of http://www.livelovefruit.com? All of my articles have little descriptions under the titles, and I’m not sure how to get rid of those?

I’m a big fan of the Theme. Great work.

I am using the Image Carousel widget on the homepage of
http://cjkj.radiofreeny.com/

Seen in the purple ‘Purch Our Merch’ section.

I have set a custom link in the Carousel settings. As you can see on the website, only the first image is linked.

I would like to try to resolve this, hardcoding the link if necessary, however I can’t find the correct file. Can you please point me towards the file that I would need to edit?

Can anyone tell me how to use infinite scroll for the homepage? I tried using some plugins but they don’t seem to work and a I read the feature was added in an update. I just can’t find it.

I have the Newspaper theme, and I see that in mobile phones widgets appear first, and then the last posts (in the case of the homepage) or the post title (in the case of individual posts). I do not know how to handle this so that the content is a priority to the side widgets, such as advertising or other type ‘text or html’.

I’m trying to use the homepage template without latest posts + pagination, just a Visual Composer content.

So I’ve created a sidebar with it: http://take.ms/HqLwp

But strangely, it doesn’t work as smart sidebar: it doesn’t stick to the screen.

So why? Does smart sidebar works only if it’s a regular sidebar made of widgets, not with Visual Composer? But I just wanted to create my page from scratch using the blocks I need. And I like the layout of latest post I use: http://take.ms/dggDm

It’s way better than the default layout the template with latest posts and pagination produces.

Please help me here.

So how can I properly create a homepage so that its name wouldn’t be showed up in Google and browser tab?

I’m preparing to install DFP on Newspaper. I’ve run a test with a single ad unit that worked, but still may not be set up correctly. I’ve searched the forums on this subject, but still can’t seem to find a definitive set of instructions on setting this up correctly.

So, I have a few questions:

1) Is there a definitive instruction guide that I’ve missed? This would be ideal of course. I don’t need help setting up DFP, etc. Just knowing the best practice for installing the header code and body code into Newspaper / NewsMag.

2) If not, then can you confirm that this is the proper way to install DFP ad code in Newspaper?
A – Insert Header code into a plugin (like “Insert Headers & Footers) which will include it in the header code of every page.
B – Insert the matching body code into the desired ad unit within the Newspaper Ads System, replacing the previous Adsense code.
C – Repeat for each DFP Ad Unit
Is this it, or am I missing some critical added step?

3) I conducted my test similar to the process described in question 2 above, except I used a text widget in the Homepage sidebar for the body code. It seemed to work, but also seems to have caused some problems with the slider on the Homepage. At times the slider appears half-loaded – typically when I have made a change to the ad order on DFP. Are Newspaper and NewsMag compatible with DFP?

4) Is there a plugin that will let you insert headers and footers and ALSO specify them for individual pages (i.e. I have ads units for the home page that aren’t on other pages).

Hi!, I’m wondering how is possible to do for having the same font and paragraph format from the post in the excerpt that is shown in the homepage. I have changed the fonts in the costume typography in the template but it doesn´t seems to work. It also doesn´t respect the format of the blog post. It Only brings the the words with default format. I noticed that in the demo version the formats are respected. What am I missing? (see http://www.onephotographersblog.com to understand better)

i have the problem that on my homepage when i use pre designed layout (infinite scroll and all others) there is space on the left and on the right at my blog post images.
When i use the default template “Homepage – with article list” there aren’t any wrong spaces.
But when i use “Blank Template” and then choose Template by the composer there is something wrong..
Please help me…
