Hi Catalin,
Is there a way to make that change without using css live editor? I’m struggling to find the specific line of code I need to alter in the style sheet and I do want to make this process as easily repeatable for fresh installs for future sites??
p.s. I do have a development site up on a hosting account now if that helps the situation?

Hi Bogdan, the wholepoint of using this avatar, not gravatar is to load author images from local host, not gravatar host which slows down the site speed a little based on GT matrix score.
In your test, probably you didn’t check this option which says to “Disable Gravatar and use only local avatars” here https://i.snag.gy/gOWUVa.jpg because if you won’t check, the theme will load both local avatar and user avatar.
Now the plugin user guide says here to manually replace get_avatar with get_wp_user_avatar to make the local avatar work. the whole things has been explained here
Now please tell me if you can get the small author image with check marking “Disable Gravatar and use only local avatars” and also without manually replacing the get_avatar with get_wp_user_avatar ?
If no, please tell me where should I make this change in our theme. Thank you.
For example, this morning. I saw 1st look five times and 2nd look two times when I checked the website. It seems mobile theme is getting disabled automatically from time to time. What can be the issue? To fix other issues, I already uninstalled and installed the theme few days ago so I dont want to do it again because it causes many issues.

I`ve just installed new version of newspaper theme. I replaced 7.1. After that changes an error accured:

Make sure that you’re using V 3.1 of Newsmag theme and also try to update Social Counter plugin at V 4.1 which is included in theme’s path > plugins folder: http://screencast.com/t/6r2LsUUcknzb The easiest way is to install the plugin from theme’s plugins panel: http://screencast.com/t/vBuS6iueqrc Just delete the old version and install the new one, configure it according with our documentation, clear all caches then test the site again.

Merci Pierreto de ta réponse. J’ai déjà utilisé Newspaper 7.3 pour un autre site et j’ai en effet trouvé ce thème très riche.
J’avais installé Révolution curseur 5.2.5.1 à partir du plugin livré avec le thème Newspapers 7.3 mais j’ai quand même le message d’erreur… et ce plug in est bien activé.
Je suis conscient qu’il serait mieux d’écrire en anglais mais celui-ci n’est pas très bon notamment au niveau informatique…Il y a apparemment un francophone dans l’équipe de TagDIV puisque j’ai déjà soumis des demandes sur le forum et ai eu des réponses de TagDiv en français

I bought the newspaper theme on August 30. I being a person who owns hundreds of niche sites, I installed newspaper on most of my websites.
But today while installing it on one of website, i found you have reached the maximum activation limit. But there was no such maximum activation limit advertised to me when I bought the product.
So kindly fix this activation limit so that I can continue using the theme.

Please keep in mind that you do not have any problem with your homepage layout. I have inspected your website and I saw that you are using the Mobile Theme plugin which has an own layout for Mobile mode than without it. Perhaps you ‘re used to the responsiveness mobile layout and now when you have installed our new concept for the mobile mode you have noticed that difference, right? Please notice that our mobile theme intend to display the Big Grid at the top of the home page which is sorted by Featured Category, then some text if it will be added from Mobile Editor in Visual Composer and the Latest Articles module from the bottom of the page. I am not sure why this happens but it could be a conflict between the theme and some plugin that you have installed. Try to deactivate all plugins except Visual Composer, clear all caches then test the site again. Also make sure that the image links to media file: http://screencast.com/t/vUd3GcWe7qY

Please ensure that you are using the latest version of Visual Composer, like 4.12 version. I use the Newspaper Theme 7.3 but when i change option in theme panel as header style, categories setting, block setting, ADS, mobile theme i’ve change option setting and save setting but setting not change.
– header style can’t change
– ADS can’t empty text in text area for insert code
– Modules/Block when switch to on can’t change back to off
– many option on/off setting when switch to on can’t off
– some option setting can change but when i need to change again it’s not work.
i install WP super cache plugin follow by theme document but still same problem

Je sais pas si il y a des francophones dans l’equipe de Tagdiv, tu ferais mieux d’utiliser l’anglais !
Pour visual composer, c’est normal, il faut attendre la prochaine mise à jour du thème pour pouvoir mettre visual composer à jours ensuite.
La nouvelle version de visual composer sera parmis les plugins dans la mise à jour, car la version utilisé par tagdiv est legèrement differente de la version originale.
Revolution Slider fait partit des plugins à installer en plus si tu veux utiliser le thème travel blog, il est situé dans la partie plugins du fichier du thème.
Voilà, sinon ce theme est génial, amuse toi bien !
I installed Google’s recaptcha plugin to reduce the amount of spam and fake registrations, but unfortunately this only shows up in the default Word Press login page not on Newspaper theme. Can you please help me on how to add the plugin to show up in the login page from Newspaper. Both on mobile and desktop.

I purchased and installed newspaper themes last night and I have trouble to find or activate visual mode when in add new post section. Could anybody help me with this problem?
The visual button appear in this mode but there are no other button i can use to edit my post. It seems looc into text / code mode.

wp-admin is part of wordpress, no the theme.
That looks like your WP install is not quite setup properly, if you’re trying to load admin elements via http.
One trick you can do is ensure you have proper 301 redirect for your site for any http requests to go to https, and ALSO add the explicit https// url for your site in your wp-config.php file (see the wordpress.org codex on editing the wp-config.php file to put in the explicit URL for your website)

I’m trying to update Newspaper theme to the latest version. I follow the guidelines to activate another theme, and then, once Newspaper theme is deactivated, to delete it. But it won’t delete, instead giving me this message:
Deletion failed: The requested theme does not exist …
Even when I go into my file manager through my host login and delete the theme folder from the database, the Newspaper theme still shows up in my themes in the WordPress dashboard.
Also, this seems to be exclusive to the Newspaper theme, as I have installed other themes and successfully deleted them with no problems.
Anybody else know how to solve this?
