Please ensure that you are using the latest version of the theme (Newspaper 7.1.1) and also, the latest version of Visual Composer (4.11.2) and Social Counter (4.0). Try to clear all your caches and test it again and check the results. Also, if your problem will be still there, please try to make a new clean install with the latest version of the theme and Visual Composer, via FTP and check how it goes the theme with the default state.

Please try to make a new clean install with the latest version of the theme and install there all the required plugins and check the results. Please notice that all of these processes have to be done only via FTP because this is the surest method in this regard. Try to clear all your caches and check the results. Also, please ensure that this type of issue does not come from your untested plugins. Please try to disable all the active plugins, leave just Visual Composer to active, clear all your cache, purge CDN files if you are using the CDN system and install only the plugins that come bundled with our theme and rule out the conflicting plugins. Please notice that I have tested the mobile theme in this case for my side and it works perfectly. Please try again after you have followed this advice and check the results and let us know how it goes.

Has anyone implemented an Email option for the share post buttons? When clicked, it would simply open a users default email client and add the current URL with a short bit of text (for example,”I found this. Thought you might be interested”.) So they can share your posts with friends. This was a very popular option on an old site I built.
Will try to code it myself, but was hoping someone had already done so. 🙂

PS – I’d rather add to the Newspaper themes share post functionality, rather than install a separate plugin.
I did the clean install. Deleted the earlier theme and then uploaded new one. But still the same issue. No template, only in dropdown. Though VC is working now.
Also, whenever there’s an update notification, will I have to re-upload the theme every time? Because that resets all the setting in theme panel. Please answer.

Social Counter 4.1 does not show up in Safari on OS X. I just updated to the latest (25 May 2016) Newspaper theme and associated plugins.
I have uninstalled and reinstalled Social Counter using the WordPress Plugins deactivate/delete/install function. I also removed/reinstalled the plugin via FTP. I do not use any caching plugins.
Anyone else having similar experience? Any suggestions or insight?

I am having the exact same problems; Visual Composer does not show the actual templates, just a drop-down menu. I deactivated all plug-ins. Still no go. I deleted the install, downloaded a fresh version (today, May 25) and did a complete reinstall. No go; still doesn’t work. This is my main business site; I need for it to work. What do I do now?

Please notice that our News Magazine demo does not have the mobile theme installed and this demo uses the responsive mobile and not the mobile theme. So, I have checked your website and I saw that you’re using the mobile theme. Please keep in mind that the mobile theme displays you only this type of Grid for your top of the home page…so, if you want to achieve the same layout for your mobile mode as the demo you will have to disable the mobile theme and then the theme will be switched to the normal responsive mobile version. This type of problem appears when you are using a more powerful caching plugin and I suspect your problem begin from this case. In general, the main page should be updated automatically without you need to follow the steps which you have presented above. Please try to disable all the active plugins, leave just Visual Composer to active and install only the plugins that come bundled with our theme and rule out the conflicting plugins. Also, please notice that we recommend using the WP Super Cache plugin for your caches. If you problem is still there, please try to switch the theme to the default one and try to set your home page to be from your latest posts from WP panel ->Reading, like this -> http://screencast.com/t/2w6WacyC and check how it goes.

Thanks for your reply. So, you mean the theme searches for a category named “Featured” (instead of using the category ID) and take the posts from it? We have a category named “Featured” before, so I guess while installing the theme it did not create the category named “Featured”.

We tested our theme and we do not seem to have this issue on our side. The theme is optimized for best performances so please try this without any plugins. Disable all of them except visual composer, clear cache and reset cdn files. Also make sure you increase the system status parameters like this guide suggests: https://forum.tagdiv.com/system-status-parameters-guide/ and make sure you meet the requirements for newspaper: https://forum.tagdiv.com/requirements-for-newspaper/
If you still have issues with this, try to create a sub-domain and make a fresh install of wp and the theme for testing purposes.

I recommend you to make a sub-domain and there you should make a clean install with our new latest version of the theme and try to install our travel demo and check the layout of this live, on your website and then you can change the demo content with your own content because this is easier than another method. Please notice the first method is not a simple task and if you are not aware of the full steps which are needed to take in this regard, you can damage the layout of the theme. So, please notice that all of these elements involves custom work and if you are not aware how it’s made, please consider hiring a freelancer/developer to help you because we cannot provide customization services at the moment, sorry! Also, please keep in mind that we can only guide you in the right direction and we cannot make your website from scratch.

I want to show more than one author, into the “td-post-author-name” area located in blocks and in article itself, whenever a post/article has been written by two or more authors.
I installed the Co-Authors Plus plugin and it allows to add multiple authors for a single article but they are not shown altogether into the proper areas (namely “td-post-author-name”).
Is there a way to achieve this?

I have checked your website again and I saw that you are using the module 15 and this it seems to be different than the default layout for this type of module, as you can see here -> http://demo.tagdiv.com/newspaper/category/module-15-layout/ Do you have some additional customizations which change the layout of this type of module? If you so, please try to revert your customizations of the theme to the default state and check how it works. Also, you will have to make a sub-domain and also, you should do a clean install with the latest version of the theme and check there how it goes without any customizations.

I see you already removed the picture. It;a a logo not a simple image. You can add or remove logos from the header section of the theme panel.

First of all, please ensure that you are using the latest version of the theme (Newspaper 7.1.1) because this will come bundled with the latest version of required plugins (VC ->4.11.2 and Social Counter 4.0).
