Well, this is unfortunately not working. Changed the value to 0, uploaded it to the child theme and nothing happened. Uploaded it to the parent theme and still nothing. I dubbel checked if the post was checked as sticky and it is… I am using a multisite installation, that should not be affecting this, right?

I had a problem with the visitors of my site. They used to visit the site with their smartphones which created a huge problem: they opened the site once and never closed the browser, therefore the site never got updated. Many people got frustrated with the site didn’t have any fresh news for over a week – we post news every hour. I solved the issue by installing this plugin:

Now the pages are forced to reload after every hour, no one complains again 🙂

In my footer section I want to replace “popular posts” section with a section in which i want to show “hot-vacancies” category section posts. How can I do it ?
I saw the template parts section files in themes where there is a footer folder. I have used style 2 hence i opened that file, but I don’t know where to edit the code so that a particular category posts can be filtered down and shown over there.
Can something like this be done that I comment the code of the middle section of the footer, and then in the widgets section in the admin panel i place the widgets i want to show there ? Will it work ?
Can you tell me how can this be done ?
After installing the Newsmag wordpress template we run the Thumbnail Regeneration plug-in. After this operation, especially,When connected to the website from mobile phone the thumbnails is seems low quality. how i solve this problem?
well installing easy table is quite straight forward, its also from the same developer of visual composer.

I can’t say why it shouldn’t work, since its just one extra element in visual composer. I really need to have a way of doing tables, all my lay out is done with visual composer, I’m not sure how else I can make data tables on the page, I hope you can look into this problem.

I am facing a really bid trouble on my website regarding the posts on my website.

I have made the complete post in the backend, but when i have published it, it just shows me an image in front end. And this issue is happening randomly. For some posts it works well and for some posts this issue comes.

You mentioned using Above the Fold plugin. Could you be kind to explain how you set it up? I tried to use the server side feature but my server doesnt have phantomjs nor cleancss installed and I have no clue on how to install it. I also tried to manually create the critical css but it only creates for one page only. At my current setup I have different templates for posts, i.e., using template 1 for some posts, template 4 for others and template 11 for videos. Each one has a different above the fold css, so it becomes tricky to do it manually.
You can answer in spanish if you prefer.

Newspaper 6 is practically a new theme, the whole code was rewritten so you have do a clean update and make sure that no old files remain. Please follow this guide to upgrade to the version 6 of the theme – https://forum.tagdiv.com/how-to-update-the-theme-2/ Make full backup of your current installation – https://codex.wordpress.org/WordPress_Backups and then do a clean update, meaning that we recommend that you delete the old version of the theme before uploading the new one. Then update also the theme plugins: Visual Composer (also optional plugins Social Counter, Speed Booster if you use them). You will have to run the script that will import from database your settings, will change the shortcodes(see docs)…
Please note that the old custom modifications to the files or custom css will not work, you will have to adjust and re-add them. Unfortunately you have to re-add the widgets to your sidebars(the custom sidebars will be imported – you don’t have to create them again) as they will become inactive or doesn’t exist in version 6.
If you don’t wan to upgrade the theme to version 6 you can revert to the old version that you used, just install the previous version and all should work fine.

Normally when there is an update of a theme, it appears in the WP admin area and I can just click it to install, etc. I purchased Newspaper 6 about a couple months ago and there have been 1-2 updates.
Will I be able to install it from the WP admin dashboard, or do I have to download the zip file and then upload it to the admin and then install it?
Lastly, I haven’t modified any child themes, etc, so will there be any errors created because of updating the theme? We had an issue with the featured images of posts not showing up and we had to run a ‘featured post plugin’. I would hate to have to redo that.

I also checked this but the posts authors are not changed when you install the demo(any demo). If you install the demo with content the demo posts(only) are assigned to admin.
When you uninstall the demo those articles revert to the your authors? Please provide more details about this.

After reinstalling my site on a different server, my site links are not working. Only home page is visible. Server support says it has something to do with wordpress or the theme. I have updated the wordpress to its latest version but situation hasn’t improved. Any suggestions.

I am not sure which version it was but It was installed in Aug 2014, this is the first time I updated since the installation.
I used the automatic update (option b) in the article. Do I need to remove the files and update it again?
The problem does seem to be with the backend visual composer, since I am not a coder myself, I rely on it. I have some other pages with only simple text content which are showing up fine.

@robert4web The Visual Composer plugin is not updated by Envato toolkit. You can deactivate and delete the old version of Visual Composer – http://screencast.com/t/oboeavsin and install it from here – http://screencast.com/t/NeIrAMKdm3

We currently have a 25-30 posts on our website and they are from various authors. We want to install the Health and fitness theme and use that for the website but as soon as we installed the preset layout the posts which were posted earlier by other users got deleted from their account and went in our name (from XYZ author to admin)
Please let us know if there is any way to do this without changing the names and other details of the authors

If you have custom modification to the theme’s files you will need to re-add them as when you update the theme these files will be overwritten, but the the styling options you’ve set in the WordPress Theme Customize or settings should not be affected. Always make a full backup of your installation – https://codex.wordpress.org/WordPress_Backups
The latest version of the theme is 6.5 and you can use this guide to update(A,B,C) – https://forum.tagdiv.com/how-to-update-the-theme-2/ also please update the theme’s plugins that you use.
We use the latest theme version to help our users and I have also check it on my side and did not found any issues with page transition, it is working exactly like on demo.

I am having the same situation. The problem persists even if I install the theme in a local computer (localhost). Please, tell me what can I do? Could I provide you the access to the server in order to help me and see what’s going on with this problem?
You can see this from the changelog for the plugin from the download file from ThemeForest, simply look in the plugins folder, decompress the js-composer zip, then look at the changelog file included.
Or, if already installed you can see it from the plugins page in your WP install.
